Smarter how? Most of the time no one on here knows anything about the masseur anyway. The only way to find out if it’s a good fit is to call them on the phone and make an appointment like a grown up.

I once went to a guy in Long Beach. His ad and website depicted him as being a muscle bound ex-military type with powerful hands. When I met him I quickly realized he was the exact opposite. He was incredibly overweight, which would have been fine except that’s not what I was expecting. And he spoke with a really girly voice that wasn’t in keeping with his marketing campaigns.
 
I could have looked past all that, but what I couldn’t tolerate was how filthy his apartment was. I got the immediate impression that this guy never left his apartment and had absolutely no life whatsoever.
 
The massage was really mediocre and frustrating. I’ve had small women give me much stronger massages. I think he was also used to working closeted “straight” dudes, and when I told him I was openly gay he seemed really disappointed, so he put very little effort into it.
 
I try to give people the benefit of the doubt. He probably has plenty of loyal clients, it I definitely won’t be one of them.

Thanks for apprising me of the above. I apparently was completely oblivious to my prior request. The one post where the word "delete" appears was correct. I'd wanted the delete the entire post but had difficulty, so I just deleted the content. Regarding your last sentence, I do plan to "bite the bullet" soon and will write a review on RentMen as well as posting a few words here about my experience.
 

 
I've written many reviews at "Daddy's Reviews" as well as at Rentmen and Rentmasseur. The reviews have encouraged others to meet the men whom I've met and have enjoyed. Some men here have contacted me personally to inquire about a particular escort/masseur, and I've done likewise, and I am quite cognizant that each individual experience might not mirror the one that the reviewer had, but at least the 411 receive can help.

I saw a masseur prior to COVID. The experience paled as to what the masseur had written in his ad. The experience was slightly disappointing. A month or so ago, an individual sent me a private message asking about the time that I had with the masseur. I responded candidly but ended the communication with: "Everyone's experience will not mirror another's." And I encouraged the man to "take the plunge." I also wished him well.

You asked about him in the summer of 2019 but didn't get a response from anyone who hired him. Then you started two separate threads on him last month (maybe you titled the second one "delete" after realizing you had recently started another thread asking him him). One person had experience with him but didn't recall much about it. Then you posted a comment in a thread another person had started about something else, asking about the guy. So you've obviously been interested in this guy for quite a while and there doesn't seem to be feedback available from forum members. Maybe you should just finally "bite the bullet" and then report back to the rest of us how it went.

I see what you're saying, but also the other point. In this case he suggests (maybe in a subsequent post) that "the weatherman" was snuck into the room without his knowledge. That's just creepy. The fact that the guy happened to be attractive doesn't make it any less an assault. If the OP doesn't feel violated or whatever that's great i suppose, but if the person who was snuck into the room was not an age, race, body type that the OP was attracted to in some way, would we be finding this story on a different thread? "Worst massage ever" or "assaulted during massage"?

In the tone of the story, I got the impression that he was sharing the story because he liked the experience. If his mentation was compromised or was at any point unwilling to proceed and was forced to do so, then yes, that would be assault. I don't think that's the case here. Otherwise every HE after a massage would also be considered "assault". ?‍♂️

I only hire for therapeutic massage. The rate is lower and, if nothing happens, at least I got a decent massage. It also expands the universe of available masseurs, because, since I'm not looking for sex I can hire a sexy straight guy and not be disappointed. But even when you hire for therapeutic massage - something often happens, even if you're not expecting it.

I also have two that are a toss up. The first was my only Craigslist experience. I was living in New Jersey and needed an outcall. I found a masseur who said he would be right over. When the doorbell rang, there stood a man carrying two sawhorses and a board. I thought he was at the wrong house. Turns out it was the masseur! He proceeded to set it up in my living room. His massage table was two sawhorses and a board with carpet stapled on it! I placed a sheet on his "Table" and he went to work doing the massage. At one point the room smelled. I asked if he had farted, and he said "yes." I asked him to open a window, and he laughed and said"just think of it as aromatherapy." At this point I stopped the massage and asked him to leave. He gathered his things, and that is when I noticed he had a 4 inch piece of duct tape on his pants. I asked what it was and he said he ripped his pants and did not know how to sew, so he uses duct tape! That was the last time I used Craigslist! The other toss up worst massage was a masseur who I went to in Boston. A REAL massage table this time. At the beginning he asked if I was gay. I said yes. He said he was straight, and that it did not bother him to massage a gay man (?). Then about every 3 minutes during the massage he would say things like " Yup, does not bother me at all that you are gay." Or things like " Really comfortable with you, even though I am straight" This went on throughout the WHOLE massage session. Hard to relax when someone keeps telling you how straight they are. After I turned over, he suddenly blurted out "Can you fuck me?!!" Please?!! Literally begging me to fuck him! I had no chemistry with him and declined, got dressed, and left my "straight" masseur with a hard on.
