  1. If you text a locksmith, and ask if he can come over immediately, and the locksmith says no, I don't see any reason why the locksmith should be mad or annoyed.  If the locksmith doesn't want text messages inquiring about availability, he can remove his contact info from the advertisement.

The locksmith may text back that he is available the next day to provide his service, but the customer has no obligation to text back.  It may be nice and courteous to text back, but I don't think there is an obligation.

You can replace "locksmith" with the service provider of your choosing.

few seconds of texts can add up to hours and days when it happens often enough

Assuming by "few seconds of text" you mean 30 seconds (so quite generous), you would need 2,880 texts to add up to a day.  And some of these are while you are watching TV, or something else, so they didn't really take time you could have spent elsewhere.

That being said, you could hire a remote personal assistant to handle your bookings.  Their hourly rate is probably lower than yours and it will be good for your mental health to not get as aggravated.

  2. Does anyone have tips for a trip to Mexico City?  Not looking for tips re fun, but for neighborhoods to stay, how many days I should plan to be there, what to see and do.  Also, does anyone have a sense of the Covid situation there and whether people are being careful?

The current database structure actually allows for multiple categories. My current structure is:

    Provider
         — Escort
         — Massuer

Consider whether its worth adding OnlyFans/JF review capabilities down the road.

My dream scenario is that Novak wins on Sunday for Slam #19, then defends his Wimbledon title in a few weeks for #20.  That way, the Big 3 all go into the US Open with 20 apiece, plus Novak will be chasing the elusive calendar year Grand Slam.  Oh, it would be glorious!

Amazing that the math worked out that way, but that scenario would ensure that the majority of tennis fans are unhappy.  There are Fed fans who are still upset Fed  is tied with Rafa. Novak or Rafa passing Fed before Fed retires would be sacrilegious.

  5. Is it possible to make a dynamic list of trending posts from across all forums?  The exact metrics I'm not sure of, but some combination of views and responses.  I guess my question is if this is a feature in the new forum software, because my idea is moot if it cannot be automated.

What made the reviews very special was giving to the escorts the opportunity to respond to the submitted reviews, even before publication. Are you planning to keep that, @RadioRob? Please say yes.

Great point! Bill always checked, and almost uniformly allowed the escort the “last word”.

Bill put in a lot of manhours, and also was constantly underfunded for what was probably a full-time job.  If people want a full-service site, someone needs to fund it.  For example, perhaps the opportunity to respond to reviews should be a premium feature.  Or maybe reading reviews can be a premium feature.

Also @RadioRob, please make sure you have appropriate legal counsel.

I think truly straight guys won't blackmail because they have zero interest in their side gig being known.

Is blackmail a real issue that people have experienced?

There has been talk about his apparent wardrobe malfunction

He went on the Tonight Show the Monday after and they showed the rehearsal performance so you can figure out how he adjusted due to the wardrobe malfunction.  Basically he was going to close that song by twirling on the stripper pole, but couldn't because he needed to use his hands to cover his own pole.

Interesting point you make: I could see how that would seem to be the case. However, I actually do like what I do.

Appreciate the respectful reply, as you could have reacted negatively to my post.

When I read your other thread about "wasting time", I thought about how much business development work goes into get a sale.  Some business development efforts convert into paying clients quickly, some don't, and some never do.  That's true in all sorts of professions -- banking, law, personal training, etc.

It is a unique industry you work in, so it has its challenges.  But there are also challenges that all service providers face.

it’s some who have issues with how providers operate

I'm not sure I follow this conclusion you made.  Seems like you have a issue with how clients/people operate, as they are reserving your time and can cancel without consequence.  I recently read an interview with Barry Diller about the new Little Island park in NYC. Mr. Diller didn't want to charge for tickets, but NYC Parks argued that without a charge for tickets, a lot of people would reserve tickets and not show up.

  10. Nice job to the team who did the upgrade.  Amazing that all the data carried over.

For those who prefer the old system, remember that security from hacking was one of the motivations for the upgrade.  The older site was not getting security patches.
