I can't stop freaking out about that phone!

Besides the camera and screen size, are there functional benefits you like? I’m more about the function than the form....I have an X now

The improved camera and camera software of the XS is the main functional improvement over the X.

If you don't want either the bigger screen offered by the XS Max, or better photos, there is really no point in upgrading; the X is still a fantastic phone.

I remember most, if not all. It helps that I keep a list to occasionally refresh my memory.

Just remembed another incident. I went to the post office one day to pick up my mail, and found a yellow slip in the box indicating that I had a package waiting for me.

I went inside to pick it up and found that it was from the telephone company.

It contained hundreds of pages of paper listing my phone bill of over $85,000 in calls for one month.

This was back in the day of phone card pins, and somehow someone got my pin and broadcast my number and pin around the world.

The phone company fraud department didn't seem to bat an eye when I told them it wasn't me, and they completely wiped the bill from my account.

Had my apt broken into while I and a roommate sleeping in another room were both asleep. Woke up when someone opened my bedroom door. I said my roommates name, thinking it was him, and then whoever it was slipped away before I was able to turn on the light. I got up and looked around the apartment and everything seemed normal. Later that morning, I noticed that a stack of Mandate and Honcho magazines on the coffee table had been sliced up with a very sharp knife.

If I'm flying within North America, I fly first class if it's available, otherwise I take what I can get.

I no longer fly overseas, but it would probably be business class.

The rule of thumb at Campus has, in the past, been if you like average, not super muscled guys, it's best to visit before 9pm.

If you like muscle guys, show up after 9pm.

That scene in Jack's bedroom where Ennis finds his missing shirt was my favorite scene in the whole movie.

I have no resistance to walking out of any movie. However, I rarely do. I think the last film I walked out on was Lethal Weapon 3.

Just noticed this morning that my local Starbucks sells crème brûlée flavored paper straws. Great with iced lattes!

Instead of using free plastic straws wrapped in paper. you can buy flavored paper straws wrapped in plastic.

The last Madonna album that I listened to on repeat was Music. There were a couple of songs on the successor albums: American Life, and Confessions on a Dance Floor, that I liked. BTW, "Hung Up" on that latter album is clearly a tribute to the ABBA song, "Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!"

I like a many of Cher's renditions, but her cover of Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! has just a little too much autotune for my taste.

I was thrilled to attend the Dressed to Kill tour in DC in April 2014.

At one point, cher is suspended in a life-size bird cage that floated out over the audience as she sang "I Hope You Find It".

It was an amazing show!

Two Hotel by Axel is a gay hotel two blocks from Thermas. The boys all know it well. The main Axel gay hotel has been famous in Barcelona for years. It's very nice and very busy with 100% gay clients, although it has a sign outside "Heterosexual Friendly". Very reasonable. For the price I think next time I will choose the more luxurious and trendy Chi Hotel directly on Gran Via and directly behind Thermas. But Two by Axel is fine even though the interiors are weird with no wall between the bathroom and bed so someone on the bed can see someone in the glass shower. Intentional I think.

 

Both the Chi and the Two have fancy rooftop pools but only the Two is gay.

I try to avoid using plastic straws.

However, I have sets of glass and stainless straws that I use when I'm home.

It allows me to pretend I'm working in a chemistry lab
