I don't mind sending a deposit, particularly for guys who have good reviews. They're just trying to ensure they don't end up getting ghosted. Most guys who require a deposit usually forego it once you're a regular.

I wonder how many of these people are new to hiring and get cold feet. We've been hiring for about 3 years now and I still get nervous about meeting a new guy. Now, of course, I realize it's just cold feet and go ahead with it. And with people who we see regularly I'm only even nervous about douching.

Any appointments felt outright dengerous?
+ KensingtonHomo replied to + Jamesp's topic in The Lounge
As a three-time SA survivor, this is a lot easier said than done. Also, calling the police can make a situation worse, particularly if you're BIPOC or trans. My first assault was when I was 9. I was more worried about "admitting" I was gay than holding them accountable so I told my mother and teachers they just beat me up. The other two instances would have come down to me said/he said. There was no physical evidence in the second instance because it was coercive, not violent. The second, which was a massage therapist at a high-end, non-sexual salon didn't leave any evidence beyond would could be explained from giving me a massage. I have since gotten a black belt in Tae Kwon Do, and kick box regularly. And I only meet with people who have an excellent track record and lots of reviews. Of course, if people feel they have evidence or fear further violence, the police may help. But it's not a panacea. -
I don't begrudge him being therapeutic, but - as @Harryinny said - the pictures are suggestive and the wording is very confusing. In my experience, Thai massage is often code for naked body sliding and such. I asked him to clarify so I knew what I was getting. And he responded with such venom.

Bottombunktwunk (currently in Philadelphia)......

I hope so. It gives providers a bad rep. And I know so many who are amazing, kind guys who would have treated this client with the utmost respect. -

He had a client in his 60s with Parkinson’s, which he divulged, who had to cancel an appointment last minute but paid him. They made another appointment to which the client was late due to his disability. When he arrived the provider refused to see him and told him he was an “old cripple.” Honestly, fuck this kid. No one should hire him. -
FYI. I reached out this provider and asked for a sensual massage. https://rentmasseur.com/AngelosTouch We were setting up a time, and I asked him what "sensual" meant to him. He said something about it being slower, so I ask if he would be nude. He got angry and claimed he lost a client because of me. The part that bothered me is he said "I am not a perv neither am I an escort." So I said you're offering "sensual" massages on a site where that usually means nudity and some sensual elements, and if he doesn't offer that he should note he's just therapeutic. Anyway, I figured I'd let you all know so you understand that before you book him.

I was thinking of hiring him when we're both in DC but I'm not paying $900. I can get a guy just as hot for $300.

It's not a slam. I just feel like I don't know what he actually looks like. LOL
-
I read good things about him but all the Facetune in his face pics puts me off. I know it's not unusual for Millenials but it weirds me out.

As a client, I take PreP to protect myself whether I'm with a provider or someone I've met another way.

Has anyone met Kyle kinggg out of DC I'm interested
+ KensingtonHomo replied to Ohio guy's topic in The Deli
No, but when I get that vibe I don't repeat. The point is a straight guy may enjoy the sensation of having his dick sucked but that's despite it being another guy. And that's just the tip of the iceberg as he won't enjoy kissing a man, fucking a man, etc. -

Honestly, this just comes across as internalized homophobia. I'm not hiring a straight escort who's going to have a bunch of conditions and by virtue of his sexual orientation be tolerating the interaction for money, as opposed to enjoying it. -
Erik is one of the best tops. He’s in his 40s but has amazing stamina, and his experience shows through. He’s very sensual and giving but can also pound you out. https://rent.men/NYWolfman

Yeah, I think we may hire him.

I asked him if he is the model in the photos and he says he’s the same guy.

I had a nice chat with him on RM, but now I'm suspicious.

A very sexy looking guy visiting NYC but he has no RM review and I can't find him on here. Curious if anyone has met him. https://rent.men/ObjectifiJackson

Considering not displaying number in my RentMen ads
+ KensingtonHomo replied to JB_Studio38's topic in Questions About Hiring
As a non-provider, this makes a lot of sense to me. I'm a premium RM client and my profile has info about me and my husband. I would prefer to communicate via the platform, rather than have to text guys who won't recognize my number, etc. But the vast majority of providers tell you NOT to contact them via the website. Now, maybe they get lots of messages from randos, but perhaps RM does or could allow providers to screen only for premium clients which would at least remove some of the fakes. -
We often offer providers or a glass of wine. Some say "no." and we understand why especially if it's a first time. With regulars, they know we're good guys and they'll typically take water or a glass of wine.

As a bottom, I sometimes find that providers who top have a script in mind that isn't necessarily what I'm looking for. I also find many of them present themselves as "masc" and humorless. I'm attracted to a variety of gender expression but lack of humor is a turn off. But I don't necessarily fault those providers because gay male culture mostly regards masculinity as superior to femininity. And we've seen even on here people besmirching femme or just not uber butch providers.

Probably twice a month.
