Do you think it’s better to follow your passion as a career, or follow the money? I find myself torn in pursuing a career, because in the field that I’m passionate about, generally doesn’t pay enough to make a living easily on it’s own. On the other hand the field that offers the higher pay, and status, and the opportunity to make a comfortable living, I find uninteresting and burnout quickly when doing jobs in that particular field. What would you choose? Are you passionate about your job and making a great living?

it depends on the situation - this does not have to be mutually exclusive. some say you can monetize your passion, but alternatively, you can integrate your passion, if it makes sense, into your high-paying career.

as for me, my passion is singing... but I have a relatively well-paying corporate job. I carve out time everyday for me to sing - during lunch, during my drives to and from the office, and when my department has team-offsites, i would facilitate singing activities with my colleagues, like carpool karaoke.

I also know another employee in my organization that loves volunteerism and it's her passion, so while she works in information security, she leads all the volunteering initiatives in the office.

Hey, I'm wondering how your trip went and if you had any encounters with providers? I live near Brussels and love to hear about your experience!

I was pretty lame @Wolfer - had a connection thru heathrow which turned out to be a bust - multiple cancellations, ended up taking the train to Belgium, and at that point was just too tired and jetlagged to even think about meeting with providers.

  3. wow - I definitely have not been paying attention - didn't realize there's a 'win the day' thing.

who can I bribe so I can 'win the day'? lol

and yes @RadioRob on including restaurant reviews! u rock!

is it possible to include a possible gay-friendly hotel/airbnb/accommodation review category as well? coz... why not? haha

  4. I don't heavy topics like this, that's why I have long since avoided the Political Issues forum.

That being said... thanks for dragging my name into this @samhexum 😏😉

Personally, I am not a fan of Dave Chappelle. Never have been.

When I watched the entire SNL monologue, his entire section about Jews was just cringe. That was uncomfortable - for me. The bit about Trump and how Dave would steal things but 'not work' I thought was the only funny thing on that 15 minute monologue, but then again, that's just me.

When I saw Loni Love's post on instagram, she just mentioned, 'Classic Chappelle last night on SNL,' which tbh, could be taken either positively or negatively, especially when she made this commentary about Chappelle 'punching down' before on The Real:

However, you are right @samhexum - I was disappointed when Loni Love appeared to have doubled down on applauding Dave Chappelle's comedy on Twitter. It appears as though she has now contradicted herself.

  5. Apparently it was just highlighted in tonight's episode of The Real Housewives of Potomac that Michael Darby used to hire (or still hires) a high-profile escort, goes to this escort's house and sucks his dick.

It was not that long ago that Alexia Echevarria's late ex-husband, Herman, left a long-term Cuban escort turned male lover a  house in his will...

If you guys are these guys referred to in the shows... ya'll famous girl! Lol.
