It’s a shame that we all have to have that “Do not book list”?

I charge $140 for an hour session and $200 for 90 min. After sessions I’ve had clients say that I should charge more...and I don’t disagree ?, but I look at it like this: those are my rates, but they can give me more if they think I should have more. I’ve had clients give me triple my rate. I like keeping the rates fair and comfortable.

Honestly.... I wouldn’t even bother responding, so it would be a firm “no” for me. I’m a masseur primarily, so it may be different for me, but I feel like a discount cheapens what I do. A guy who would ask for a discount is not someone I want for a client. I don’t care who they are or what they look like.

First of all, congratulations on your new photography studio! As for me, I’ve invested more this year than I ever have before and I’ve made some really good decisions this year that feel really good about it.

I have another job that is my main source of income which fills up a good amount of time. I am now making plans to re-launch my massage practice again in Palm Springs hopefully in March/April. Ive been establishing the additional protocols for the re-launch so that everything is as safe and sanitized as possible, shooting photos, working out in my home gym, and staying in touch with my friends. My other pastimes, of course, are also keeping me busy.

I considered offering something like this, but I ruled it out. There are guys offering this though, so you will definitely find someone.

If you aren’t present during the sessions, then I don’t see why this isn’t a great idea.

I have two clients that give me a cash gift around the holidays. I have another client that gifted me with Tesla stock, and one of my clients knew i had a thing for Ralph Lauren, and he gifted me a beautiful Ralph Lauren winter bomber jacket. I never ever expect gifts, but I am so grateful for them. I’m not close with my family so it’s extremely touching that some clients think of me enough to send a gift.

I'm a masseur...and while I do offer longer sessions, I also completely understand those who don't. I can't speak for the masseur that you were trying to hire, but it may be that he simply doesn't have the energy or stamina to do sessions that are longer than an hour at a time. Good massages are extremely physical, and not everyone has the energy for extended sessions.

Yes!!!! It’s definitely a social connection with clients. I’m looking forward to being able to start seeing my massage clients again.

I cant imagine not giving a client his full time, but my recommendation is to communicate in a direct but kind way. You can say something like, “ I really enjoy your massage, but do you know what would make it 10 times better? If you didn’t check your phone while warming up the oil, and if you gaave me the full time each session”. This will give him the chance and choice to do better. Hopefully, he’ll make the adjustments, if not, then you can nake the choice to continue seeing him or move on. Problem solved.

I think you should ask if they mind first. Depending on when you do it. If you’re talking about when you’re being intimate then it’s probably fine but if not, then you may want to ask because some may love it and some may not.
