Personally I don't negotiate and I think it throws things into a negative situation. I ask the price, I either say yes or walk away. I suppose there are a lot of variables as to what I am willing to pay at any given time. Value is sometime overcome by desire, convenience and opportunity.

$350? No way would I pay that, even in NYC. I think $250 is more reasonable. If someone wants to quote $300 or higher, I'll just decline and let them offer lower if they want. I don't like negotiating and risking hard feelings. Some guys ask for higher fees first just to see if they can get it. I have paid higher rates in the past but I've never felt like I got my money's worth for the difference. I don't see the point anymore. There are other guys who will be happy with $250 and do just as good a job, if not better.

For $300, I’d expect the whole enchilada.

And that is ok. The main take away is to always communicate to avoid bad experiences, etiher before or during the in person meeting, because as you, some providers have had bad experiences too. The objective is that both, provider and client, have a good time.

Everytime I've paid up front whether it's for just massage or full service, I've always received a lack luster experience & time cut short. I've considered just leaving when asked to pay first but I feel like it's a catch-22 situation, so I don't. Pay & get crappy service/disappointment or leave & possibly get into a crazy situation with the provider. What do you do?
 
Also, if I'm paying upfront it's a for sure no tip at the point. The payment part is always really awkward for me, and I definitely don't want to do it twice for the same meeting in the odd chance & I really had a great time and wanted to tip.
