I give him points for detail in planning and for self-esteem. Would mention, however, that in some circles a one-finger salute is not always seen as evidence of an erudite nature. My sense is he may be in a difficult spot and need financial help but has social constraints that may limit his options in this field of endeavor. I wish him the best but suggest he keep his day job, or lacking same, get one.

The man was named Louis Shotridge (circa1883-1937). A native Tlingit Alaskan Indian, he also sometimes posed as a Plains Indian as seen here. I first saw a photo of him on a PBS special of some sort years ago and thought then, as now, that he must be one of the most handsome men to have ever lived. A Google image search will show more photos, but sadly none more revealing of what beauty must have been beneath his robes. Ah, to sleep, perchance to dream, and in those dreams to be ravaged by a savage such as he. He was, however, a rather sophisticated art collector and historian of his tribe and culture. But look at that face! Hot man!

It is obvious to any and to all that the milk of human kindness courses through your veins. Well done, St. Sam of Hexum.

You make me both proud and humbled to be in the same species. Both are among the most touching encounters I've ever heard described, but I was especially touched by the young man who'd lost his mother. How sweet and tender those moments must have been.

Having calmed down some from my earlier rant, Pornhub's actions were triggered by the NYT editorial and the subsequent actions of major credit card companies suspending use of their cards on the Pornhub site. Pornhub was also facing vocal public criticism and a threat of government intervention and oversight. Their response was a survival tactic in an increasingly hostile environment. I get all that, and hope that what we have seen is only their initial reaction, using a hatchet instead of a scalpel to excise their demons. The ultra-right nut-job agenda of NCOSE, et al, notwithstanding, Pornhub -and others, too, most likely- were too long remiss in monitoring content available on their platforms. Content produced by actual kidnap, rape, and torture in a basement or warehouse which is then uploaded and made available worldwide and without review, is clearly repugnant, and should have been removed. Pirated content, acquired in violation of copyright protections, were likewise illicit and subject to removal. Content posted by known and verified sources is what we're left with after the purge. The fact that only about 3 million videos from a previous population of around 13 million is itself good evidence of the magnitude of the problem and the extent of previous neglect. I can only hope that Pornhub and other such sites will review their suspended content with an eye toward categorization into good, suspect, and bad buckets, then move on to a restoration phase of their content so that the decent among us can get back to enjoying our indecent pleasures. Christopher Hitchens told a story of an organized party of moral London women commending Samuel Johnson for not including immoral and perverse words in his new dictionary. Johnson, said Hitchens, commended the women for their industry in looking them up. And the beat goes on.

I am old school in so many ways, including shined shoes. When I go out, except on household errands to the grocery or drug store, I am almost always in a coat and tie, and usually with a vest and pocket watch. I started wearing a vest so I could display the pocket watch, a gift my from a dear and treasured friend, and also because, with a vest, you don't have to button the coat, something which was becoming something of a problem. [He blushes.] I shine the shoes myself and use shoe cream instead of polish, as it's softer and absorbs better into the leather. I then buff the shoes to a high gloss, usually about once a month, depending on wear. I have a shoe shine kit containing black, brown, tan, oxblood, cognac, and clear creams, along with brushes, including a toothbrush for hard to reach crevices, and a number of shine clothes. I have decided to consider this to be perfectly normal behavior, although such decision itself may not be.

Straight porn actor Dean Butch Bailey; may have used other names, too. Never did gay porn that I know of, but did some solo scenes (Monsters and Size Queens) in addition to straight sex films. Google search shows a little more.

So many beautiful men in the world! It almost makes me believe in a higher power. Like the one pictured here. I'd certainly be willing to kneel before him, and for as long as it takes.

As long as NCOSE is making a list and checking it twice, why did they leave off the biggest sexual exploiter of them all: the Roman Catholic Church. Too close to home, or honor among thieves? What a crock of crap from a big bunch of crackpots.

Although in late grade/early high school during JFK's tenure, I had not at that time the sensitivity or sophistication to appreciate his grace, urbanity, wit, and charm. Although, we have had clever-ish presidents since, such as Reagan, Clinton, and Obama, I don't think any ever rose to the heights John Kennedy achieved in these regards. In these last four years, I'd have been content with logic and complete sentences, if I could have had either. But these years did make me ever so more appreciate JFK and long for the return to an intelligent, educated, well-spoken, and witty president. How utterly refreshing that would be.

OMHFG! I just added a dozen or so Pornhub links to my favorites on Sunday night, and today I find them and dozens more suspended or deleted! I don't get boiling mad very often. I've put up with virus lockdowns and scavenging for toilet paper. I've tolerated separation from friends and cancelled family and social occasions. I've even become adjusted to a somewhat more monastic and cerebral existence, and that has had some benefits. I know I'm not alone in in facing such challenges. BUT do not fuck with my Scotch or my porn!!! Said in bold print, because that's the only thing I can do. I am otherwise powerless -let's not say impotent- to effect a change in this circumstance. I even saw some videos that were "not available in your country." Well, they fucking were yesterday! And you're not in Armenia! You're next door in fucking Canada, eh? Some asshole writes an article and a group of gutless pussies over react on an unprecedented scale. As I am perhaps doing now. But my safe harbor, my "happy place" -so long as the electricity's on- has been raided and made a pale reflection of its former self. And it hurts. And it's enraging. All the more so because I'm powerless to change it back. It is so odd a mix of emotions on this day. The Electoral College has officially disavowed DJT. But this happens on the day the so-called Sexual Revolution is over. And we lost. It's also ironic that the managers of site that handles more balls than the NBA have none of their own. Eventually the only thing pornhub will show will be married couples in the missionary position. To them, three things: fuck off, drop dead, and go to hell. Well, that felt better. For a while.

Congratulations on your windfall, and your good fortune in acquisitions. Isn't it a sad commentary on the times we're in that such excitement can be gotten from finding cans of disinfectant? I still haven't been able to find Lysol spray in my area, but doing so would make my day! This puts me in mind of a time some years back when I was walking through a grocery store and excitedly said to myself, "OMG! They now have Metamucil cookies in Apple Spice flavor, in addition to the Cinnamon!" Becoming so excited about such a thing as that made me know then and there that my life priorities had changed forever. Now I look forward to a time when I can once again use toilet paper with a sense of carefree abandon. Ah, how I yearn for those days of youth! Or was that just last year? God, how I hate this fucking 2020!

Well, this is awkward. To quote Professor Higgins in My Fair Lady, "Damn, damn, damn, damn!" I, who so recently wrote of sloppiness and inattention to detail, must now come face to farce with my own. You are quite correct regarding the highest IRMAA income level being $500,000+. I've rechecked and seen that the table I used has two entries in the same box, one being that highest tier, and other being the next to highest, and that latter being the one that applied to me. My apologies for any aspersions, however and altogether unintended, cast your way by my previous response, now seen to have been delivered directly from my ass, where I apparently keep my "facts." I am mortified and will now slink away to be one with my shame. Actually, I'll meet friends later this evening and drink to forget this embarrassing episode. I don't really need the drinks to make me forget; at this stage in my life, I can do that on my own. But the Scotch makes it more fun. Again, my apology for the error, and my thanks for the correction.

Do guys like this even know how good looking they are? I've known several who didn't, and it was always their most endearing quality.

Don't bother to wrap it, I'll eat it here! What. A. Hunk. I don't know which is hotter; that impressive chest&abs set, or an expression that seems to say, "I hope you're ready for this."

LOL! Given your apparent talent for estimating income, perhaps you should start working for SSA/Medicare. Although I have little to complain about regarding retirement income, half-a-mill is, and sadly so, out of my league. My annoyance in all this is with (a) the principal, and (b) the sloppiness. The principle was discussed earlier and is an objection to a means-based pricing in a mandated market. The sloppiness consists of misinformation in the most recent letter from Medicare, which reads "2018" when it means "2019," says the IRS reported XYZ as my AGI for the year in question but gives a number that never appears on any 1040. The exact number quoted -said by them to come from IRS- was the precise number I supplied to SSA as an estimate on the SSA-44 form when I requested a lower adjustment. This kind of inaccuracy and attention to detail is acceptable and effective -or so it's said- in horseshoes and nuclear war, but leaves something to be desired in financial accounting. And the inability of the SSA representative to explain the process, even to the point of admitting she knew nothing of how these determinations are made, underscores a lax prep and review process, supported by an inadequate and ill-qualified labor pool. To say they're doing their best may be true, is hardly encouraging, and simply adds to the tedium. But thanks for asking.

And we're off! A problem I thought had been solved has come back, thanks to the wonderful civil servants who run SSA and Medicare. As posted previously, my Parts B and D premiums in the year of my retirement and enrollment in those plans were increased in accordance with IRMAA policies, and were substantially higher than I had anticipated. My 2018 income put me in the highest IRMAA bracket, but knowing my income would decline significantly for 2019, and even more in 2020, I filed a Form SSA-44 to request a decrease in the IRMAA amount for 2019 (to a lower tier) and its elimination for 2020. The people at my local SSA office agreed and my requests were approved and implemented. Problem solved. Oh, really? I have now learned that the IRMAA amount for any given year (2021) is based on the 1040 AGI from two years before (2019). Accordingly, I recently received a notice of (a) a same-for-everyone 1.3% increase in benefits, and (b) the re-imposition of IRMAA amounts for both Parts B and D, based on 2019 income, the aggregate effect of which being a reduction in monthly cash in hand, apparently because SSA/Medicare seem to be believe income increases in retirement, even after it's already gone down. I've checked; it doesn't. Well, not that much. I called SSA (a 40-minute wait, followed by a 20-minute conversation) and was told I could appeal, if I wanted. I was also told that if SSA later determines that too much money was taken in the IRMAA increase for a given year, the excess will be refunded. When I asked if that didn't automatically impose a two-year delay, I was told, "Gee, I guess it does!" Nothing like working with the best and the brightest. And this was nothing like working with the best and the brightest. I said that arrangement sounded fair and, if needed, they could just put the refund check on my grave. No response. Being retired, I clearly have the time to fight this fight again, but I don't know if I have either the strength or the stomach for such a re-match. This is so much harder that I though it would be. On the plus side, it might turn me into a day-drinker.

Damn! He's as big as a lighthouse! Or is that, too, an illusion?

Funeral pick-ups may be tricky. Will Truman tried it in an episode of Will & Grace, but the handsome object of his attention responded, "Are you trying to pick me up at my grandmother's funeral? Have you no shame? I'm embarrassed for you!" Art imitates life, or vice versa? Proceed with caution.
