A lot of subs are long and hard, and full of seamen.

His profile says he's versatile. So does that mean he's sometimes a muffin top?

Wow, did my eyes pop when I saw the size difference between a Boeing 737 and an Airbus A380. The A380 looks like some radioactive mutation!

I realized this week I've become hooked on The Gilded Age and part of that is how good Cynthia Nixon is. So outstanding. Aunt Ada is a great part.
+++++++++++++++++++++SPOILER++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Tonight's epi, when Oscar breaks down in front of his family about John was a great scene.
Marian and Aunt Ida's empathy got me all verklempt.

I believe it's supposed to be set in the early 1880s.
It was around that time that Mrs. Astor was forced to recognize the 'upstart' Vanderbilts, which the Russell family seems to mirror in the tv show. However, 'The Four Hundred' - the list of the 400 people who constituted 'Society', and based on the number that could fit in Caroline Astor's ballroom - was not compiled until the early 1890s, if I recall correctly. Since the list is already mentioned in the show, the program plays a bit fast and loose with the historical timelines.
Also, the marriage of Gladys to the Duke is also set 10 years earlier than it was real life, if Gladys is meant to be analogous with Consuelo Vanderbilt, who married the Duke of Marlborough in the mid 1890s.

Well, reading all that was something. I'm trying to book a session today or in the near future. Maybe twin talk can find its own space.

Haha all my life I have been the twink so the hunks are the ones that catch my eye as hooking up with other twinks makes you hear the clacking of our bones 🤣. I need meaty hunks to avoid that 😋

You should probably look up the meaning of taboo, since none of those is a taboo.

CuriousByNature got a reaction from KevinFL in Luxury cruise lines - which is your favorite?
On my 2nd or 3rd cruise I noticed gatherings for Friends of Dorothy and Bill W but never thought much about it. Then the next cruise I noticed that both Bill and Dorothy were on the same cruise as me again. Who were these people stalking me? Lol.
I saw in the daily bulletin that Dorothy's friends were getting together in one of the small lounges, in a quiet and less frequented part of this very big ship, so I decided to investigate.
When I arrived I peeked in. There were several pairs of people mingling around, and a few who were solo. Suddenly two middle-aged women came in behind me and one grabbed my shoulder and said, 'C'mon in with us Sweetie and have a drink!'
I froze. I was caught crashing a gathering for someone I had never met. As I turned to escape all I could blurt out was "Uh, thanks, but I shouldn't be here - I was just wondering who Dorothy was because we always seem to be on the same ship."
Their laughter followed me as I slinked back down the hallway... later in the cruise a crew member explained who Dorothy and Bill actually were. 🤯

Would it have been less problematic for you if I wrote, 'social and psychological reasons' rather than 'reasonings'? If it wasn't clear in what I wrote, what I mean is that there are more than just biological reasons why incest has generally become taboo in most societies. There are social and psychological factors as well, that likely predate any understanding of genetic implications.

There's nothing puritanical nor judgemental in what I said. Two consenting adults can do what they want. All I said is that there are other reasons why incest has become taboo in most communities over the millennia. It isn't just about inbreeding and potential birth defects. Traditional societies have strong ties of kinship that follow certain parameters - and this predates our knowledge of genetics by a very, very long time.

I'm not sure why you seem fixated on this. My comment has nothing to do with gender roles. I'm looking way, way back in the history of communities - long before there was an employment based economy.
