  1. Yes, I see what you mean. I was just using it as an example - the writer of the story may have meant 'accident' generically, as in a 'traffic accident' - even though the 'accident' may well have been intentional. It seems like an oxymoron, but I've heard people say things like, "she killed herself in a car accident" - I suppose it really comes down to how literal a person may be.
  2. Won't everyone be rushing to get their taxes done that weekend?
  3. At first I thought that too, but realized the headline probably is equivalent to saying 'suicide by cop' or 'suicide by overdose'. His death was evidently suicide by car crash, or car accident - but leaving out the word 'car' definitely made me scratch my head a bit.
  4. He is unable to speak?
  5. Did you bring donuts?
  6. I imagine it is some type of perspective effect from the position of the camera. In those laughing photos his thighs are considerably bigger than his entire torso. Which is no laughing matter if that is the case. But I'm sure most people looking at those shots won't be focusing on the size of his thighs.
  7. I'd be put off by that, but there are worse ways to use your hands....
  8. While it may seem like an interesting concept from a client's perspective, I don't think there would be any providers who would trade their time for a critique. I would imagine anyone entering this line of work would feel confident enough in their abilities to proceed without soliciting feedback, or they may already be receiving feedback - even unsolicited feedback - from some of those who are paying to spend time with them.
  9. I much prefer heat days to snow days. Nothing to shovel.
  10. From what I have read about the event, briefs aren't a requirement. Well, maybe at the restaurant.
  11. Like a comet, briefly illuminating the evening skies and leaving a trail of memories in its wake. That's my sorry attempt at being poetic. I have never met him, but from everyone's comments he's an outstanding guy.
  12. I know. I wasn't being serious...! 🤪🤣
  13. I don't believe you did anything wrong from your description of the events. His reaction seems to be excessive, but it shows that even providers (who many people might assume are always super-confident) have their own vulnerabilities and sensitivities too.
  14. Way tooooo sooooon.... 😂
  15. I'm not seeing an active profile... name change? Disappearance?
  16. Understandable, but regardless of what a masseur advertises regarding health and vaccine status, the onus is on the client to protect himself. People can advertise any status whether true or not, so this reality should be considered when assessing the level of risk a client is willing to accept.
  17. Don't be so negative. Maybe you'll be able to see them in concert, singing their reworked hits: Gimme, Gimme, Gimme (A man After 4pm) Gasping Queen Coding Me, Coding You Lay All Your CPR On Me Slipping Through My Bladder Super Pooper The Reaper Takes it All Watery-poo If It Wasn't For the Depends I Still Have Faith in Medicare I Have a Cream (A Rash that Stings)
  18. Even if he only does two 90-minute massages a day he could be grossing about $75K per year plus tips - and that would only require about 4 hours of work a day. With those prices and the quality of massage he evidently provides, he probably has no difficulty keeping his schedule full and predictable. That may be a better option than trying for a higher price and having to hope that clients will book.
  19. Very impressive physique. If only he had a photo with a face picture...
  20. This is very true, I believe, and I've mentioned it myself in responses to various posts over the past few years. But because I have never met with anyone I'm not sure my opinion carries any weight in this respect. That said, I can't think of anyone who would WANT to pay more for something than what they had been paying - whether that is for a product, an experience, or a service. But the reality is that prices for pretty much everything always go up over time, and complaining about it does nothing positive for one's own well being. As you noted earlier, @arnemgreeves the OP has every right to ask for whatever donation he sees fit. I would add that @Jarrod_Uncutshould feel no need to explain why it has become necessary or desirous to increase the donation amount. It really isn't anyone's business, and those who are put off by increases have to make decisions accordingly. Certain things always outpace the rate of inflation, and when something suddenly jumps a lot in cost, it isn't necessarily unwarranted. It could be because, until that point, that particular product or service had been chronically undervalued compared to it's actual worth.
  21. That's very impressive - he must have been exceedingly long as well if he still managed to get the tip in all the way from NYC.
  22. Your grandmother still buys her own groceries?!? LOL
