HGTV - Escape to the Chateau
CuriousByNature replied to jjkrkwood's topic in TV and Streaming services
That couple is awesome. I want to visit the chateau for a few days at some point. They're an absolute hoot. -
That's just rude of him.

Great news for all the capital Bs... lol
-
A 'brief' moment in regards to underwear... unintended pun, perhaps? Lol.

Or, if someone with such a tendency gains prestige and fame, perhaps they may grow to see themselves as being untouchable, above the law, and/or completely entitled to do whatever they wish to do regardless of the consequences to others. And with respect to a previous post, even if those he abused were physically strong enough to get away, there is often a power dynamic at play in abuse that renders the victim helpless in those situations.

Granted, I have not ever met with anyone, but any type of sliding scale hits me the wrong way for some reason. I don't think it would be fair to providers, and particularly those who approach this with a high degree of professionalism, any more than if we asked dentists and lawyers to be on a sliding scale for their time. And I would feel horrible if someone kept lowering their donation amount out of some kind of desperation. We never know what is going on in someone's life. Just a thought.

Most overrated/underrated tourist attraction
CuriousByNature replied to BSR's topic in The Travel Desk
I like the Empire State Building as a structure, but waiting two hours in line to get up to the observation deck was completely overrated, IMHO. -
Apologies - didn't realize you were being serious.

Wow... I had no idea. I thought it was more like 50-50.

Sounds delicious! I also find Marinara to be a bit of a let-down. I will often use a jarred Marinara as a base, adding it to the sauteed onion, garlic, anchovies, chili peppers and wine. With additional basil, oregano and ground pepper.

Forgive my ignorance about probability math and my somewhat paranoid concern about illnesses, but when it says that PreP is up to 99% effective, doesn't that mean that for every 100 people on PreP who are intimate without a condom with an HIV+ detectable person, at least one person will contract the virus? I wonder what the probability figure is if PreP and a condom are used together? I know I sound completely OCD and I acknowledge life is full of risks, but these are things that pop into my mind ?

I used to hoard family heirlooms because nobody else seemed interesred in them because they had little monetary value. I've since whittled it down to one or two items from each deceased person that have sentimental significance for me, and have them in a display case beside a small framed-photo of the person who originally owned them. Hope that doesn't sound morbid...

Yup... I add it to tomato-based pasta sauce. A squirt of anchovy paste while sauteeing the onions and garlic in olive oil, before deglazing with a bit of wine, adds extra depth and umami flavour.

Really? I've been a few times and have always enjoyed it - the Art Institute, Field Museum, Milennium Park... not to mention deep dish pizza! -
Yeah, my great-grandmother had kids over a span of about 35 years...

Awwww... I love the Mall. Each time I've been to DC I've spent many hours in the various museums. Much better than anything I've seen here in Ontario. -

When I read that sentence about offering support, I took it more generally. Not specifically aimed at LGBT clients, but any potential client. The way it is written could be taken either way, though.

I think its a name that should have been retired around 30 AD... ? -
...it made me wonder who would greet you at the door - Little Joe, or Pa Ingalls? I'm surprised he's in Philly - I would have expected either Carson City or Walnut Grove... ? https://rentmasseur.com/LandonMichael
