  1. Here are a couple resources addressing this issue. Both appear to be offering their services navigating through the process, so remember, while their information is accurate, it’s really a sales pitch. https://www.nolo.com/legal-encyclopedia/free-books/fiance-marriage-visa-book/chapter1-5.html https://www.boundless.com/immigration-resources/how-is-a-fiance-visa-different-from-a-marriage-based-green-card/ My suggestion is to hire an experienced, reputable immigration attorney to guide and advise. There are various options and with each certain requirements for residency either in the States or waiting in a home country. The risks of fraudulently presenting your relationship can be severe including permanent deportation of the applicant and fines/imprisonment for the sponsor. If you present yourself as an “engaged” couple (fiancé visa), immigration will want to see documentation of your relationship in the form of photographs together and correspondence (including texts) between you. If it’s done as someone just visiting who “falls in love” while here and wants to apply for residency, then there are defined time periods between the time of arrival and application for residency when the application is viewed more suspiciously (30, 60, 90 day periods).
  2. This happened the other night in a local suburban town. No word yet if it was a defective charging port, the car, or an issue with the home's electrical system. Sadly, the family had the rear of their home destroyed in the September tornadoes which struck our area. House burns down after Tesla catches fire

    $1,500/hr

You’re right. He can charge whatever he wants. No one is saying he can’t. More power to him if he gets it. However, the purpose of this section of the forum is to discuss providers. You don’t need to meet a provider to have issues with his ad or donation amount. If you consider potential clients commenting that $1,500 for an hour being exorbitant is “tearing a person apart,” then we’ll just agree to disagree. Do you think it’s unreasonable or harsh to comment on an ad that has no information about the provider and doesn’t list any activities in his “into” section? I re-read this entire thread. I didn’t find one comment insulting his appearance or mannerisms. The one comment about his reputation was extracted from an actual client review.

    $1,500/hr

I'm still trying to find the negative and judgmental comments. We're in the Deli section of this forum which is to discuss providers. This provider voluntarily placed an ad. Other than the OP who provided his donation requirement, I don't see where anyone else contacted him. I've read countless threads on this forum discussing the issues hiring a straight-identifying provider, one who doesn't have any info about himself, or lists his "Into" activities. Further, another poster read the commentary to his reviews and one client wrote: I'm all for being respectful, but if you voluntarily place an ad to attract clients which sends up red flags, have a price-point that says you're not serious about seeing clients, and have an actual client review accusing him of being a "hustler type of guy," be prepared for commentary.

👍🏻Cute face 👍🏻Hot body 👍🏻Great ass 🚩Identifies as "straight" 🚩No info in "about me" 🚩No "Into" section 🚩Almost 3-year-old profile with only 4 reviews 🚩🚩🚩$1500/hr If I'm going to spend $1,500 for an hour with a guy his name will be Chris Hemsworth and he'll bring his brother Liam for good measure.
  6. When I was 11-years old, we got a pup from a family friend whose Irish Setter had a litter with a Yellow Lab. We took her at 6-weeks old and couldn't agree on a name. About a week later we were watching an old Untouchables episode with Elizabeth Montgomery as a nightclub owner named Rusty Heller. As soon as they said the name, we all looked at each other, then over at the pup, then back at each other again. She was my best friend for 12 years. Smartest dog I've ever met. Friendly to everyone but so protective of my family and especially me. She was also a "rust" color and most people thought that's why she had the name. Years ago, I had a friend who named his pup D'Oggi. It was pronounced Dee-oh-jee. It took some people a while to realize his name spelled the word D-O-G.
  7. Does RM give a refund if they remove his profile? This guy isn't just rebranding his existing account, he's starting brand new accounts each time. His Smoothking profile was created at 01:10 today. I'm curious as to how much money he's laying out to create these multiple profiles.
  8. I fought that title being thrown on me for the longest time. But then I saw how many younger guys are into "daddies" and embraced it. Plus, I'm not getting any younger. To quote Truvy in Steel Magnolias, "Honey, time marches on and eventually you realize it is marchin' across your face."

    Stereo?

That's exactly what I had to do. I had an older, not very powerful receiver with smaller bookshelf speakers, which worked fine together. But there weren't nearly enough watts to drive the 901's to their potential. I purchased an Onkyo amplifier and a Numark graphic equalizer. The difference was remarkable. The solid wood cabinets are beautiful. They were heavy suckers to move between the weight of the wood and components inside

Back in the day as a teenager, I had a pair of Bose 901 speakers which I bought used from my older brother. I thought they were incredible. They were also monstrosities in my 10' x 12' childhood bedroom along with a full rack of stereo equipment (amplifier, pre-amp, equalizer, cassette deck. turntable). I can't imagine using them now considering the superior sound quality and minimal footprint of today's components. I have a sound bar and sub-woofer in my family room. Even without front or rear surround speakers, it feels like the room is rumbling. I agree about the quality of Sonos and Harmon Kardon speakers, but there are other options for those who aren't "purists" or don't have the budget for higher-end speakers which provide good sound.
  11. The Linc is incredible. I like how they incorporated green energy with the wind turbines and solar panels. I think JFK's capacity got close to 100,000 when they included the field for concerts to accommodate the crowd. I remember them estimating the crowd size close to that for Live Aid and the Grateful Dead.

  13. Earlier this year, someone reported Mateo Blanco won't even communicate with anyone contacting him through RM until you subscribe to his OF page and even then, he was asking for $2,500/hr. I don't doubt it since his ad has been active over a year and he doesn't have one review. https://rent.men/MateoBlanco
  14. I found myself in a similar situation back in the late 80's attending a U2 concert at the old JFK Stadium in Philly. It was one of the last events at the venue, which was rapidly deteriorating. They had standing room only festival/general admission on the field. That stadium easily held 100,000 people in the bleachers and it was packed that night. We were near the front but not quite there. At some point the crowd started pushing forward and we moved with the crowd to avoid being injured. Eventually, we made our way to the bleachers, climbed to the top row and watched the remainder of the concert from there. From that vantage point we were able to see the people at the front getting pinned against the security railings. I don't recall any serious injuries but there were some fists flying. Same as you, I have zero desire to be in the middle of that chaos, especially now as I <<<clears throat>>> approach middle age.
  15. I read reviews of the Roomba and the biggest complaint seems to be that it has issues with dark carpet. The sensors read dark areas as a negative space, which it's programmed to avoid. People have developed hacks to get around it, but if I'm spending several hundred dollars on a vacuum, I shouldn't need to "hack" it for it to operate properly. Where's Rosie when you need her?

    Stereo?

I have a surround system for my main TV in my Family Room. I play my music from other devices through those speakers via Bluetooth.
  17. I purchased a Dyson some years ago and am not impressed with it. For a vacuum that’s supposed to be lightweight and easily maneuverable, it’s anything but that. I usually go back to my old Oreck which really is lightweight and maneuverable, but I’m not sure the model I have is intended for hardwood/tile. My sister-in-law swears by her DirtDevil cordless stick vacuum. She said it’s better than any higher-end vacuum she’s used in the past. 18. Now, how about the other guy? I’d take him any day of the week and twice on Sundays. Oh, who am I kidding? I’d take him as many times per day as he wanted, any day of the week!
  19. We also refer to sprinkles as "jimmies." https://billypenn.com/2017/03/20/jimmies-vs-sprinkles-why-philly-fights-over-what-we-call-an-ice-cream-topping/ As for @Tygerscent 's cookies.....I think a tutorial video of him making and applying the frosting is definitely needed. 😈

  23. Physically she's ok, but she was already a bit of a hypochondriac, so she's freaking out if she gets any kind of strange sensations in her feet or legs, convinced it's the start of GBS. She still hasn't received anything official from the pharmacy, just an incident number. She was provided with a web site to report vaccination issues. The county health department and CDC were informed, so there should be a record of it. Although she's not interested in pursuing legal action, I'm sure at least one of the others who were overdosed that day will. I suggested if anything, she should have documentation in the event she does experience a negative reaction, so any costs not covered by her insurance will be covered by the pharmacy. I just received my Moderna booster and flu shot this morning. My only concern is another friend who received his Moderna booster and flu shot on Friday had severe reactions and ended up in the ER on Saturday night for over 7 hours. I know we all react differently, so I'm just hoping I don't get too severe of a reaction. I read you can mix the vaccines. When I registered for my booster, it asked which brand I had for my first two but had the option to choose which brand I wanted for the booster. I stuck with Moderna.
  24. I chalked it up to her having a bad day, maybe she had crap going on in her life, or maybe she was new and didn’t know where the pick-up spots are. Driving around Boston is challenging enough. Add bad weather and it’s a nightmare, so I tipped with all that in mind. That all changed when I reviewed my receipt.
  25. I've only used Uber, but I found many of the drivers also work for Lyft as well (the decals are on the car), so I'm wondering if the driver is the one who decides he/she doesn't want to make the trip, does it really matter if it's Lyft or Uber? I've had good and bad experiences with my Uber drivers. I've met some ambitious, interesting, smart people, many of whom are immigrants, who were grateful to be in this country. One young man was from Botswana and was one of the friendliest, most outgoing, pleasant people I've ever met. We had a great conversation. He told me about working at the Central Kalahari Game Reserve back home and his desire to come to America. The drive was over before I knew it. He was generously tipped. On the flip side, I was in Boston in March 2019 for work and stayed at Loews on Berkeley. There was a Nor'easter barreling through the region, so it was cold, windy, and rainy. I ordered an Uber from the lobby of the hotel for my morning commute to the office. There's a huge pick-up area in front of the main entrance on Berkeley. I'm waiting and watching the car approach on the app, then it stopped around the corner. I'm thinking she's stuck in traffic or waiting for a light. Three minutes later, I get a call from her asking where I am. I tell her in the lobby waiting. She replied she's been waiting for me around the corner on Stuart Street. I wasn't about to get into an argument at 7:30AM in the middle of a storm, so I made my way around the corner. Even with an umbrella, I still got wet. I wasn't a happy camper. She admonished me when I got in the car about waiting. I explained that every other Uber driver picks up and drops off in front of the main entrance. That was the extent of our conversation for the trip. But what really set me off was when I later looked at my receipt in the app, she charged me a $5 Wait Fee, even after I tipped 20%. I contacted Uber and told them what happened. They removed the Wait Fee and I insisted they reduce her tip to $0.01, which they did. She needed to get the message loud and clear.
