  1. A colleague of mine went for her Pfizer booster yesterday at one of the large national pharmacies. Last night she received an automated call to contact the pharmacy about an urgent issue concerning her booster. When she finally reached someone, she was informed the technician didn’t dilute the vaccine so she received 5x the recommended booster dose. The pharmacy contacted the county health department who referred them to the CDC. They and her PCP advised her to monitor herself for severe side-effects and get to the ER if she starts experiencing tingling or pinching in her feet and legs, which are two early symptoms of Guillain-Barré Syndrome. Apparently there’s some evidence linking over doses of the Pfizer COVID vaccine with GBS. I’m sure the pharmacy is circling the wagons and preparing for inquiries and potential lawsuits. The technician was a contractor and not a pharmacy employee, but I doubt that exonerates the pharmacy of any liability.
  2. Uh, no, that's why I said "professional name." You have every right to your opinions. It's how you express them that comes across as arrogant and flippant. You could just as easily explain yourself in a rational, mature manner without the insults. But you don't. You resort to smugness and chest-thumping. If you feel you're at a disadvantage because you don't know my screen name in RentMen where I might find my "couple hours of paying someone to nod their head in agreement to everything I say," I'll be glad to provide that ID so you can throw a block on me. But you really have nothing to worry about. I assure you; I'll never be contacting you for your services.
  3. I often wonder what the relationship is like with the show after these characters depart their roles. I liked the Gabby Dawson character and never knew whether her departure was voluntary or if she was released. I guess since he brings them back for guest appearances and director/producer roles that answers the question. On a related note, it looks like they wrote Jesse Spencer (Matt Casey) out of Chicago Fire this past week.
  4. He's not marketing himself on here, thus the reason for the multiple screen personas. He's just here to stir the shit and be edgy. If he genuinely believed in his position and that his business practices or attitude were not damaging his reputation, he'd post under his professional name and promote his ad.
  5. 🤣🤣🤣 As much as I watch the show, I never realized Diane Neal and Annie Parisse played other characters before their A.D.A. roles. I just did an IMDB lookup. Their other character names were Amelia Chase and Jasmine Blake. Dick Wolf has a stable of performers he taps for all of his shows. The most obvious one whose two characters were/are more regular than just a single episode is S. Epatha Merkerson who played Lt. Van Buren in almost 400 episodes of L&O and is now Sharon Goodwin on Chicago Med (124 episodes). I also realized that Jack McCoy had some of the hottest female A.D.A's working with him. Not one of them was Kathy Bates in Misery. I watched it. He still looks really good and his (in)famous Nick Amaro temper made a visit, too. Dann Florek (Cragen) looked ill. Hope he's ok. I always liked his character.
  6. No one is suggesting not paying for travel expenses when the provider is traveling from out of town. I hired someone last year who I flew across the country for a long weekend. I purchased his airline ticket, which he readily accepted as evidence of my commitment to the appointment. I have a regular provider who takes the bus from New York for weekends with me. I similarly pay for his transportation. What I'm not going to do is electronically send cash to an unknown provider and hope he shows up. You're right, providers are free to do what makes sense for them. If requiring a deposit works for them, more power to them. I'm also free to decline their terms and not be thought of as a flake or time waster. I also have the right to do what works for me.
  7. The difference between your examples and a provider is that when I pay for my flight, hotel, concert tickets, or any of the other services you listed, I get a confirmation number, reservation number, or invoice evidencing my payment. The airline, hotel, or concert venue are not going to disappear. I have proof that I paid for a service or product, and I have recourse. You're expecting someone to fork over cash to an unknown entity whose only means of contact is an internet classified ad and a burner cell number and hope for the best. And then you wonder why clients balk at the idea and find this difficult.
  8. I met with him last year. I arranged for an outcall to my place in the suburbs. Our first meeting was cancelled by him due to car troubles on the way to me. I gave him a second chance a few weeks later. I wouldn't repeat. Nothing blatantly wrong, I just wasn't impressed with his massage skills, how quickly it moved to the "extras," and it felt like he was elsewhere mentally.
  9. He was apparently here in Philly for the night. I never viewed his profile nor contacted him, but I did get these unsolicited messages on RM chat last night. I don’t mind a provider sending an unsolicited message to offer his services, but the third message is a turn off. Don’t expect a reply when I never contacted you.
  10. I have a recurring dream of a hot dog chasing a donut through the Lincoln Tunnel. My therapist said it meant I was hungry. - Robert Klein
  11. I stick to two regulars and they're extended sessions, either overnight or weekends. I've had several sessions with each so neither is concerned about getting his fee. I typically hand them an envelope as they depart. It's always met with a smile, a sincere thank you, and a kiss. I spent an overnight with my local regular last weekend. I forgot to hit the bank and the ATM limit is $500, so I asked if he'd be ok with Venmo, which he was. On Sunday morning while at breakfast, I attempted to Venmo the cash and it was declined. On our way back from breakfast I was going to stop at the ATM to pull $500 just to give him something. He refused. Long story short, he left without payment, assuring me to not worry about it because he knew I was good for it and get it to him whenever it was resolved. Despite his assurances, I was totally embarrassed and felt horribly, especially since he paid for dinner the night before as a birthday gift to me. Venmo acknowledged the "flag" was initiated by them, assured me it had nothing to do with me or my account, but refused to disclose why it was flagged. After several conversations with them and getting nowhere, I just gave up and used Zelle after confirming he used it as well. I communicated with him while attempting to resolve the issue with Venmo and each time he was completely understanding and kept telling me not to stress over it. At the end of all this, after being paid, I sent him a text thanking him for his patience, understanding and expressing my gratitude. He replied that it was his pleasure because I always treat him kindly and respectfully and he knew I wouldn't stiff him. I'm sure part of this is because he's familiar with and knows me, but his reaction and how he handled it spoke volumes about his character and reaffirmed my decision to see him regularly. I felt appreciated and valued as a client.
  12. Current prices in Philly suburbs…my vehicle requires premium grade. I filled the tank on Saturday for $62. Eight months ago the same amount of gas was $38. That’s a 62% price increase.
  13. Honestly, it’s six of one, half-dozen of the other. The irritating aspect was that the dub and subtitles didn’t match exactly. We turned off the subtitles. Both convey the story adequately enough, so I think it’s a matter of personal preference. If you don’t mind subtitles, I’d play it in the original Korean so you don’t experience those differences between the English dub and English subtitles. The dub was entertaining in that, as @tassojunior and I said, it had a Godzilla vibe.
  14. I hated the finale of the Soprano’s for that very reason. I thought my cable went out at the most dramatic moment in the entire series when my screen went black and silent. No, it was them forcing the viewer to create their own ending. I don’t want to create my own ending. Entertain me. Give me the whole story.
  15. We were joking that the poor dubbing made it feel like we were watching a Godzilla movie.
  16. We finished it up tonight. I had several people recommend it, but they all had difficulty explaining it. I totally get it now that I’ve watched it. I’m sure there’ll be a second season, especially after the cliffhanger.
  17. We actually had the subtitles on in the beginning but the dubbed dialogue didn’t match the subtitles, which was annoying, so we turned it off.
  18. A friend and I just binge watched 6 of the 9 episodes today. I needed to work through the bad dubbing, but once I did, what a show. I’m hooked and can’t wait to see the last three episodes.
  19. He “cold called” me over RM chat asking if I’d be interested in meeting. I liked his look so I pursued it. His ad says he “prefers to travel,” so I asked about an outcall at my place. He follows up that he doesn’t drive so I’d either need to provide an Uber or pick him up and drop him off. I didn’t even reply or get his donation amount. Sorry, if you’re advertising that you prefer to travel, you better have transportation.
  20. They do. I just dined at a Mediterranean BYOB on Saturday evening with my local regular. There was a placard with a QR code on our table. We used our cell-phone cameras to scan the code and review the menu. When it was time for the check, our waitress brought a small wireless POS terminal to our table. The credit card never left my companion's hands.
  21. Depends on what you consider "upper" Bucks County. Langhorne has Steve's Prince of Steaks on Lincoln Highway, which are pretty good. I still think if you want an authentic cheese steak you need to hit up D'Alessandro's in the Roxborough area of Philly or Tony Luke's in South Philly.
  22. Just about all of Dick Wolf's shows are successful. SVU is on their 23rd season and still ranks in the top 20 each week, so they're doing something right. I remember reading an article that said Mariska Hargitay was given an ultimatum in the second season to either let her hair grow back (she cut it very short) or be terminated. Although there have been many characters come and go, I don't think the show could survive without the Benson and Tutuola characters. I still have a crush on Danny Pino who played Nick Amaro for three seasons. I also just read he's returning to the show for their 500th episode in October. Peter Scanavino played a murder suspect in season 14 before joining the cast as Sonny Carisi in season 16. Their cross-over episodes with Chicago PD (another Dick Wolf show) usually makes for some good TV.
