not in person, fortunately, but there are definitely some online ?. while I do not condone violence by me slapping someone in the face, but I believe karma has its way of balancing things out.

The candy counter at Sears. You would walk in and smell the fresh pop corn and roasted nuts. Under the yellow orange display case lights on one side were every sort/ variety of nuts. On the othe side were all of the different types of candy. They would weight your purchase on a white mechanical scale with a stainless steel cone shaped tray, then and pour the contents in a white colored paper bag with the price written in pencil. We would get a small bag of the multi-colored jelly "Swedish fish" candy that was distributed amount my siblings as we were told they were very expensive.

You took it back with the spice network.
We had cable, but of course that channel was NOT part of our cable package.
I would try to see some naughty bits through the loose scrambling on the channel, but just chose to sneakily “borrow”, my grandfather’s porn collection.

I literally used to check tapes in and out like a library.... he probably knew I was borrowing them.. lol

I wouldn't be sure of that. It was kind of a mindfuck to hit puberty and realize I was gay just as the AIDS crisis hit.

Similar to @7829V, my whole life has been devoted to being the perfect employee, husband, dad, Catholic and have never been able to say I am gay and I would like sometime in the last + 20 years to be loved unconditionally for the real me. (Thank goodness there are dogs ?).

After my first dog - easy to remember. He was a miniature schnauzer, like my later one, Shadow - some of you may remember him.

In ROCKY AND BULLWINKLE, thee was a ?Fractured Fairytale, or a Peabody’s Improbable History, about Sir Galahad:

He was just born, and his father took him to get his name registered in the book.
“Have you chosen a name?” the keeper of the book asked.
“Yes Sir!” his father responded ... so his name went into the book as Sir Galahad.
“But that’s not what I wanted!” the father said.
“Too late! It’s already in the book! But what was the name you wanted?”
    “Arbuthnot!” the father replied.

I just got a kick out of that.

The “-esquire” just arrived on its own. I might have been thinking “Squire Galahad” who would, of course, eventually turn into Sir Galahad.

The double “L”? I failed to spell check.

    P.s. I sometimes use Arbuthnot.
    P.p.s.:
“Thank you for seeing me, Doctor,” the man said.
“It’s a pleasure meeting you, Mr Raymond Luxury Yacht.”
    “It’s not Raymond Luxury Yacht.”
    “Well then, what is it?”
“It’s SPELLED Raymond Luxury Yacht, but it’s pronounced Thoatwarbler Mangrove.”

I think for me would be trying to be the “perfect kid”. Always perfect grades. Always trying to be strong (not showing much emotions) and pleasing everyone. Not putting myself first.

I think it would have been better to relax a bit and enjoy my childhood / teen years a little more. But no complains. I’ve had a really good life.
