  1. @starman05, I am so sorry, as a hugger/holder, I am sending you a warm, flannel soft virtual hug. As hard as it is, please be safe. If someone you know has a dog, offer to take it for a walk and borrow it for a dog hugs .
  2. Antonio: First off, my condolences for the passing of your brother. My younger brother has/always been such a support for me all my life, you have so much to deal with, your mom and dad, your nephew and the situation of the virus. We had a similar situation where after dad was out of re-hab. Based on his abilities, he could not go home without a lot of work to the house to accommodate him. Our best option was to have them move into a senior complex. Mom did not want to move, but did and took a one bedroom apartment while dad was on another floor where they could visit. We were thankful they had the funds for this option. I got the job of cleaning and selling the house with lots of unsolicited comments from family members. Our goal was to make sure dad was safe and taken care of. One sibling wanted them to move in with us so we could take care of them and “save money”. ?. I had a young family, work with travel, so as much as we wanted, I had to put my family first. You will have difficult decisions to make, just do your best. I have not even gotten into finances, real estate, Trusts and powers of Medical and Financial of attorney. One thing at a time, small steps and reach out and ask the health people around you, gather comments, do your best, hang on, it will get better. Also, be kind to yourself. Anton
  3. PK - I am not as versed as others here, but know you and all the people confronting these horrors everyday may receive all the warm, illuminating, life-giving Sunlight we can provide you. Please keep writing. My vet told me a dog will always give his owners love, and try to do this until they are physically unable. Enjoy and love each other, you are providing us with such powerful lessons and examples. EAT THE ICE CREAM!
  4. My company did the same thing to me a few years back to conserve cash by not matching to our 401k plan. I covered the matching % and stayed the course. I am the same age as you, just hold tight for now. Per @sniper comments, I re-balanced to be less in stocks when I was 55 last year, so I also took a hit, but I was somewhat shielded. We are still working! That is a huge plus. We will catch a drink together in a couple of years when we retire and by then we can actually be closer than 6 ft away.
  5. This is an very nice graphical snapshot, but you can’t just compare the size of the balls! (anyone on this site should know better than that...) You are comparing events that went on for several years with no medical treatment to outbreaks that have occurred “recently” and can now be treated with meds (like HIV/AIDS) but how long did that take for treatment to be developed. To anyone who is thinking this is overblown, I have received emails from client’s and friends in Italy and China. They can not believe the photos from the US of people out and about, especially on the beaches of Florida. They tell me it is hell on earth with all the death and suffering. They have stated the best thing for us to do now is stay isolated and keep a safe social distance. These are people I have known for years, they are really scared. Out of concern, they have reached out to warn me. As I pass this along to all of you, to help in making decisions, don’t make light of this, especially at this time, the situation can change rapidly, just look at Italy. Be safe.
  6. I have purchased some gift cards from the supermarkets and sent them to a few of my hires. Not expecting anything in return, just remember being extremely short on funds and being hungry during my college years (and it was not spent on booze). I was most thankful for the occasional friend who would notice and buy me a meal.
  7. Have you also looked al Luke? https://rentmasseur.com/LukasWilson If you would like some details on these guys, PM me.
  8. Most people do not know how to identify or the value of older watches. A watches is still a nice, small jewelry item. Unfortunately most fellow watch wearers have died, turn to oil, and are sloshing around as gas a Hyundai . I have older Hamilton's, Gruan's, and a nice 1950's Breitling. They are made with jeweled pivots, gold mechanisms and cases, which cost more than any smart watch, but go unnoticed as "cheap Timex's". Yes, they do come off to avoid any unforeseen damage-contamination.
  9. Hey Antonio, you are going to be in shock for a while, specially after spending that much time at one company (I am 55 yrs old and going on 31 yrs at my job) and have also been the "go to" person for those difficult projects. One suggestion is to see about being a temp -contractor working for the military or the government. The people doing the hiring are on the look for us "older" people. Unfortunately in most work environments today, the hiring managers have a whole 6 years of experience out of college and there is bias against anyone with some gray in their hair. This also may be a blessing in disguise. From the people I know who were laid off - terminated and were good workers in the wrong place at the wrong time usually found a job that made them happy and they wondered why they put up with the BS at company "A" for so long. From what I can see, the only skill the new kids have that are better than us is the use of Excel. If you brush up on that and just be you, I guarantee you will find something. Also, do not be afraid to tell anyone you are looking for a job, people are overall kind and will go the extra yard to help you. Good luck, Anton
  10. I have the same routine..fate favors the prepared. I use an un-scented soap and skip deodorant, breath mints - check. Heck, I make sure the engine compartment of the car is clean before I take it to my mechanic. Good luck, have fun and relax. It took me some time and several hires from different types of providers before I became comfortable.
  11. It has occurred to me that I receive a higher level of personal connection by a random cashier at the store than during a $120 visit to the guys advertising on MFinder lately. Should they use your name when you are talking, or send a follow up post- visit text? These guys are not kids, older providers, 30+ or is this expecting too much. Is the business model - client treatment better on another site? Just a bit bewildered why there is very little to no attempt to be personal or is it an ATM transaction. The body work has been all above B+. My first hire, MuscleJake was excellent in this area, the others..... Shopping in the mid- high range, hiring around mid-west Chicago area. Comments?
  12. Sometimes it is good to take a break and be by yourself. Don’t feel guilty about not “following” the plan and participating in what the family is doing. At least your sister called and extended an invitation. What do you really like to do when you have time to your self (other than that!). Go road mall, have something to eat, people watch, call and talk to Simone you have not spoken to in a while, head to a pet store and play with the cats and dogs. If you find you want family and company, there is Xmas coming up or you can get “adopted” locally by a friend(s). Just be good to yourself, you are worth it and if you can do something for someone else, that can also be good. Which coast are you on? Western MI or Eastern IL/WI?
  13. One of my jobs at work was to test rubber restraints and rubber face masks for the administration of ether in hospitals ( a build up of static on the surface of the rubber could ignite the vapors). So I had access to the fun equipment but no one to play with. 60’s TV and spy stuff always had knock out gas that would lead to some sort of restraints. Now the just use guns, I guess it was a gentler time......
  14. Is it a bad sign if your server takes your order and ten minutes later, looking out the window, you see them drive off before you get your drinks/water?
  15. My relatives were hoarders, I had to go though every scrap of paper. Found cash in unopened cards, gift certificates, papers on stocks and insurance. The best thing to do is to keep all of your “stuff” in a trunk or box labeled throw out. Before hand tell someone it is personal items that will mean nothing to anyone but you and just chuck it upon death. I have also done this for a relative. ( I have to hang with younger people or not be so good at this that I am the “go to” person for this activity.)
  16. To answer the original question......There is no death, only a transition to a different sphere of consciousness where friends are waiting to guide you to a new destiny.
  17. I have been through all of these scenarios with different relatives. No Will is the worst, the assets are dispersed under probate court. If you don’t want a family member to profit from your demise, they will get a percentage. Go see a lawyer and inquire about setting up a trust. All of you bank accounts, house title and any 401k assets are in the name of the trust. An Executor you select, who can be a lawyer or your favorite escort ; ) then disperses the assets per your instructions with help from the lawyer. One way to keep greedy siblings at bay is to leave a small amount so they can’t contest being totally cut out. As for computers and other items, I am an in-law with little emotional baggage. I was able to look through items and “dispose” of things that were not anyone’s business than the desist’s. Lots of interesting things were tossed. You are probably still a bit emotional right now with everything that has gone on, so don’t feel you have make major decisions tomorrow. Feel free to PM. Anton
  18. You can reach out to Kevin Slater, who is a member on the site. Here is a link to his web page. http://www.laterslater.com/ If you decide you like it and want to play at home, look at this website. https://www.e-stimsystems.com/ See Bonus Packs under Categories. What ever you do, do not order anything from E-Bay or Amazon, you do not know who was the source provider. I worked protecting the good citizens of the USA from counterfeit electrical goods coming from China, Bad plastics, wiring, ect....(and these were the sex toys) Pay the extra $$$ to buy from a first party site. Remember, proper dielectric contact is a good. Have fun, like anything, it is acquired sensation over time, so it may take time and experimentation. A.G.
  19. Hey Alex. There is quite a bit of information out here, especially in the Boston area. Go to the search forum pull down and type in Boston and select Deli to narrow the search. You can start reading the threads members have posted on the various providers. As you start to read past posts, you can see they style - writing format to use on this site. This is a classy site and I have observed the members like to communicate in a longer form rather than a short tweet type format. Also, they are very good at answering questions about experiances with people, but you will need to do some research and ask politely. This is done in Private Messaging, you will notice there is not much "locker room" talk about experiences. You will also observe some Boston area members pop up regularly, read their posts for info. It sounds like homework, but try to read posts on first time to experiances or equivelant, again, many good tips in these posts. Good luck and be safe. A.G.
  20. Thank you BuddyWorker for the detailed information on your visit. Based on Bruno's comments regarding Thai Yoga work, I was assuming it would be a form Thai massage. I totally concur that wonderful things do happen when 2 naked bodies are in close proximity with one another during a nude Thai massage. So far I have not found too many providers with this specialization. Something for the 2020 to do list. Thanks again for taking one for the team.
  21. Hi Tarzane07. You may want to reach out to "Captaino" Below is an entry from Sept 2019 and I am sure it is the same Dave. Dave from what I have seen is now permanently located in the Detroit area. Here is Captaino's thread comment...... "Am I the only one whose partaking in massages is limited by the selection of the masseurs? Sure, I splurged while I was getting to know the market, but then I discovered that very few were actually worth it. David moved out of Chicago a while ago, Brad is now gone too, and I don't see Nikola's listing any more, WTF?! :-( I am down to 1-2 guys I want to see, and even them I don't want to see that frequently, and this is Chicago I am talking about. You could say that the market cured my addiction..."
