  1. I would strongly look into a lease. 1) Auto companies want you to lease so they can use your credit rating to boost their overall ratings. They offer really good deals for us middle age guys. 2) To keep the lease cars "nice", dealers may offer free oil changes. Based on your mileage, you would not reach some of the max mileage limits or wear through a set of tires. 3) Expensive cars depreciate about 21% in the first year, not to mention some European makes start having issues after 3-4 years. 4) Do your really trust anyone to have screwed a car together very well during Covid? Lease, have fun now. You have many years for practical transport in the future.
  2. Carrying a dime or two for the payphone (and remembering phone numbers). Dialing "0" to speak to a live person - Operator for information. Being able to "floating" a check for two or three days before payday. (Banks were closed on Wednesdays- no ATM's) The only size of batteries were the big square 6V, C and D sizes - dry cell, no alkaline. Transistor radios (AM and FM). To plan an airline trip, there was a thick paper book, like a phone book, that was printed twice a year. It contained all of the airlines, flight numbers, arr/dept times and cities. You looked up here you wanted to go, wrote down all the flight numbers, then called the travel people to book the tickets. A dedicated island of full service pumps at the gas stations. Motor oil was packaged in round cardboard cans with metal lids. You needed a steel oil spout to pierce - open the top of the can to pour in out.
  3. The candy counter at Sears. You would walk in and smell the fresh pop corn and roasted nuts. Under the yellow orange display case lights on one side were every sort/ variety of nuts. On the othe side were all of the different types of candy. They would weight your purchase on a white mechanical scale with a stainless steel cone shaped tray, then and pour the contents in a white colored paper bag with the price written in pencil. We would get a small bag of the multi-colored jelly "Swedish fish" candy that was distributed amount my siblings as we were told they were very expensive.
  4. Talk about a blast from the past. Several seasons of quality TV; sweet old ladies solving crimes while tooling around in a classic 1930's era Lincoln... only in the 70's. Way before HIPPA laws got in the way of getting information
  5. Similar to @7829V, my whole life has been devoted to being the perfect employee, husband, dad, Catholic and have never been able to say I am gay and I would like sometime in the last + 20 years to be loved unconditionally for the real me. (Thank goodness there are dogs ?).
  6. It is a nod to the SS Antonia Graza, a fictional 1960's luxury ocean liner from a movie in 2002, my love of time spent in Italy, my hobby of reading about maritime ship wrecks and diet of spooky, scary horror movies in the 60/70's during my misspent youth.
  7. Deep Pressure and a generous application of oil..... https://www.xvideos.com/video26245545/gayroom_-_pounded_oiled_ass_with_chandler_scott_and_lex_ryan
  8. Hang in there Woofie- this is a tough time of year, especially in the mid-west, cold, gray, no sun plus add on Covid.... Money does not buy happiness, but provides choices. PurpleCow is right, Be kind to yourself, look through the Mr. S catalog and pick something out for a future hire/ encounter. Sent some $ to the local food bank, they will appreciate it and there are so many people who need food. It has been a long slog, and we have a ways to go, but start making some plans. Watch some HGTV and figure out how to arrange you bedroom to accommodate a swing you have had your eye on. ?. Bonus, you get to use a Stud Finder for installation. Keep posting. Anton

  10. Go to the “Spa” forum and conduct a search for Chicago. This will pull up the majority of the posts associated with massage. Scroll down and start reading, they should be in chronological order by date or read post by “Capitano” who writes excellent reviews and comments. Cap’s posts may also contain additional comments by other members in the area.
  11. I always tip generously when possible, even a few bucks to the guy at Discount Tire who has to has to run the free air tire service to buy a soda. I worked a few low pay service jobs to get through college and was thankful when someone tipped. However, here is my observation with massage providers (in-call / in the $120+ range); they are a jaded group. When I first started hiring, I would put a 20% tip in the envelope, but began to notice the majority of the time there was no acknowledgement. So now I only provide the quoted rate, no automatic tip. If I had received a tip, I would send a quick text. It is an inexpensive easy way towards sowing the seeds for repeat business or is the majority of their business one time clients. ?
  12. Alternate version - When one door closes and another door opens , you are most likely in jail ; )
  13. Thank you for posting this clip. It is one of my favorites . TV "comfort food" ; thank you Dawn, rest peacefully.
  14. Hate is a strong word, but I hate it when someone takes advantage of someone else, regardless if they are not using their best judgment. You were violated (another strong word) and your are like most people, beating yourself up by in your memory by “ allowing” it to happen. Thank you for sharing and being brave in letting us know this happened and your offer to protect others. Also remember, you are not that same guy now. ?
  15. Capitano: The guys out east should really appreciate all the time - effort / "homework" you had to do to create the above list. My issues is you did not provide one or two current references for your local home boys here in the Illinois - Indiana - Ohio area.
  16. Still one of my favs to sing, oh my, it has been a while, 1969. Cloudy here in Chicago area as well, have not been able to see it at all, will have to rely on the postings from others.
  17. I didn't think it was a big deal a the time, but it was Valentine's Day and I was picking up some groceries at the store and was then going over to pick up some dry cleaning. I had been using this cleaners for years, so I knew the three ladies to say hi and make small talk. I decided to buy a bunch of red, white and pink carnations to give to them. They were totally floored that a customer brought them flowers. I asked if anyone had ever done that and they said no. When I go in, they give me the biggest smiles. It really was just an impulse thing, but it meant a lot to them.
  18. Shoes were shined and inspected every Sunday before church. Damp cloth to remove dirt, Kiwi polish, buffing with horse or boar hair brush, a few sprinkles of water, and a final buff with a cloth rag. For work over the last 30+ years, I wore black or brown leather shoes until the dress code was abolished and now it is a free for all. I go to the local shoe store to buy shoe polish or to match a new shade of brown. I also have the worn down heels on my shoes replaced for $20. I typically would polish them when they were looking tired, about 3 to 4 weeks, or before going out to dinner, a wedding, funeral. More so in the winter due to all the salt. As for the shoes shine guys at the airport, I would get to O'Hare a bit early before a flight so I would have time to stop and have a "professional" shine done before I went to Europe on business, especially if I was going to Italy. My last shoe shine was at the airport in January before a business trip to Spain. I got back to the States just in time before the world stopped in March. They have been in the closet since I have been working from home.
  19. Charging $210 for 60 mins per the review comments. The price of blue colored hair dye must have gone up during Covid ?
  20. Here is a thread which has several comments on Kevin. https://m4m-forum.org/threads/detroit-mi.124083/#post-1725733 https://rentmasseur.com/Kevinb
  21. Did you read any of the Danny Dunn adventure / science story's written by Raymond Abrashkin and Jay Williams? Danny's mom was the housekeeper for Professor Bullfinch who invented things. An early print version of the Back to the Future relationship with Marty and Doc Brown.
  22. 1. Find and maintain friendships with people who truly care about you. They may be different people during different periods of your life, and understand - recognized they many not be there for long periods of time. You only need one or two. 2. Be kind in life as much as possible as life is not easy for everyone. Also, understand there is a big difference between being kind and being nice. 3. Unconditional love is rare and all good things in your life will flow from such relationship(s). These relationships requires you to be vulnerable, and it will be painful. Do not assume your parents and/or family of origin will automatically have your back on this one.
  23. Like @Capitano, I have made the same arrangements and offered to provide a gentle rundown after my massage. Some providers have even asked me to work on certain areas (no HE- kept it “professional ?”) If they agree, I enjoy climbing on the table, straddling them, oiling them up and using my hands and chest to massage from the small of their backs to their fingertips. So, my experience is, after a couple of visits and a comfortable rapport-relationship, the percentage of a post masseur massage or a post shower request, for me, is pretty high. PS - I am not a tall, athletic- buff guy, just an average 50+ Is it a compliment to be called comfortable?
