Oh the pain of playing “sports ball”. Was enrolled at an early age to play baseball for the summer leagues, played left out quite a bit. Also flag football. The cool thing was in Middle school, my teacher put me next to John, a big kid who was King of the Burnouts, real tough guy and a good athlete. Thank you for sharing your special memories about your mom and family with us. My Polish family had a similar 4th of July gathering by a lake in Michigan where they all had summer cabins. My grandpa died young so when we visited my grandma who did not drive, we would go to the cemetery. It is located on a bluff overlooking Lake Michigan. The town was prosperous with lumber in the 1880's so there are grand victorian marble monuments, vaults and mausoleums with copper paneled doors and stained glass windows. There are civil war solders, steamship captains, railroad people, lumber barons, children, all resting under the canopy of the century old oak trees. It for me is one of the most peaceful retreats from the world, to remember my family and place to walk and just "be". The newer ones with the a flat miles of grass level markers with no trees in site are impersonal, except for the area my daughter is buried, it is in the infant section, so it is always decorted with flowers, small stuffed animals, pin wheels, hot wheel cars and candles. It is a totally different, more of a testimate of longing to still connect in some way.

If you only have one bathroom, with regards to re-sale, a tub is a major plus. I agree a walk in shower with the same footprint would be great, plus it is your house! What we did is replace the old 1960, steel bathtub with an acrylic mgf by Kolher. It is deeper than the old one for soaking ( no jets, etc) but it is designed with a “lower” step in height, an issues when you get older. Also replaced the toilet with a Toto, it never had issues and I had three teen age boys. Purchased these at a bath fixture dealer, not a HD or Lowe’s item.

I have typically had post-massage showers and it may be due to the time of my visits. I prefer in-calls and go in the evenings, so I most likely their last appointment. If a shower is available, I have always asked and they have agreed. A hot shower is an excellent way to finish, relax and connect.
