This is an addendum to my earlier post regarding a class reunion encounter with the dude who bullied me. His wife was at the event. Not a bad looking woman, pleasant. Very interesting question! The only bully I encountered in high school went on to college and ended up running a successful small-town insurance agency. Ran into him at 20-year reunion. You would have thought we had been best friends. He couldn’t have been nicer. Really weird encounter; people change, apparently.

Have used both for years. But, I always use an Airbnb “super” host and they must have a lot of positive reviews. Same with hotels - usually stick with 2 “brand” names and look at reviews. However, in Europe I‘ve been pleasantly surprised with simply asking locals for suggestions. And if either fails to meet my high standards, I take the time to inform the host or management with a well-worded review, etc. Many times I’ve received a credit, or something complimentary on my next visit - it truly pays to give feedback.

Several years ago, my niece married a hot young man from Brazil - he was an exchange student. A large number of his family came up for the wedding.
