No scam. The pictures are of him. He dances at clubs/bars around town.
He is a sweet guy. Almost no English, however.
He had a massage table in his HK place, but he doesn’t appear to have any training or much interest in giving a massage, so I volunteered to massage him, which he was open to and seemed comfortable with. It was fun.

Same.  John Sport is the only one of many I’ve seen who didn’t even take his shirt off.  Thankfully it was a good massage, but I was annoyed because he did tell me he would be nude.  And at his current rate, I’d expect more!

I’ve posted a reply about Cristianok before, but as I just saw him last Saturday, I thought I’d throw in again that he still is one of the very best private masseurs I’ve ever had.  Besides being shockingly good-looking, he’s a kind soul and intensely focused on providing a pleasurable experience. I didn’t get a tiered pricing message when I first starting seeing him when he visited NYC about 5 years ago, so we’ve got a long understood payment arrangement. One other thing: I don’t really get or like the use of “YMMV” (like above) on this site. I don’t see its value in these communications. Since it’s only ever used, from what I’ve seen, to describe extras beyond what I understand to be the generally understood expectations of “erotic” massage (masseur naked (at some point), MT, and HE), I feel like it’s a given that one can’t predict if the masseur will offer more. That’s an aspect of humanity and individuality that’s beyond legitimate expectations for this job. I really only want to hear what guys on this site did or didn’t experience with a masseur. It’s genuinely unhelpful to tell me that I might not get the extras that others got. I know that already!

Sure fire way to get scammed. I wouldn't follow this advice guys.

I've never been asked for a deposit from an escort or masseur.  Wouldn't pay if asked. 

That is not the case in my experience. 

I don't think a deposit is something most guys ask for - not in my experience and not even when I narrow it down to Brazilian guys.

He seems experienced, with a clear vision of the kind of masseur he wants to be. Maybe that doesn't work for some clients, butI've never met a better one.

I fooled around and found out. Rafael, is a nice guy, looks just like his stunning pics, and is, indeed, versatile. Expensive but worth the splurge.

Words have meaning, and I think most clients and providers share a basic understanding of the terms therapeutic (non-sexual, masseur probably trained), sensual (not necessarily trained and primarily designed for giving pleasure), and erotic (masseur naked, MT, and HE). Prices reflect these differences, and ads support these definitions.
I love it when a masseur, on their own, describes their services in their initial communications with me (I’m generally only looking for erotic massage.), but it’s not necessary: they are telling me in their ad (with the text, with me photos, with the price) what I can anticipate. I never ask explicitly for details of what they will provide in advance. Private massage is wrongly existing in a legally marginal zone, so I don’t find these questions appropriate. On rare occasions I’ve gotten something different than was advertised—almost always MORE than what was advertised—but that’s just the occasional “bad” service that one sometimes gets in any profession. 
I go to this forum to learn from my brothers, not to hear truisms like  “everybody is different” or “depends on the person” or most useless of all: “YMMV.” How do those things help?

You should find that the spectrum of massages offered by masseurs in New York City is not radically different from the massages offered by masseurs in your hometown, wherever that is.

As everyone says there's no standard definitions and it does vary by masseur.
Personally for sensual I'd expect to be naked and undraped and there was a HE.
For erotic I'd expect mutual nudity and mutual touch plus a HE as a minimum. 
I'd say broadly most massages I've had under those categories met those expectations. 
Sometimes they don't but then sometimes they go much further than you expect which are always the most memorable!
Worth noting I'm in the UK and I do get the impression masseurs here can be more upfront. Often when I reach out to a masseur i get sent a menu of options and price ranges by UK based masseurs. Had that the other day and all I'd done is look at his rentmasseur profile. 

If you don't mind Asian masseurs, the Palm Springs Men's Wellness Retreat, in downtown Palm Springs, has some really good guys.   They all give a good massage.   They're accommodating to requests and prices are more than reasonable.   Never left unhappy.
