  1. Back when I was new to guys in my late 20’s and gay.com was still a thing, there was a 20yo muscular, ripped college jock who I was obsessed with. I was at least as attractive from the neck up but couldn’t compete from the neck down. One day I asked if $100 would make a difference, and it did! He was only the third or fourth guy I’d ever been with and it was pretty good. He actually wanted to do more than I was ready for.

Fast forward about 5 years and he dated my first gay best friend for a few weeks. I don’t think he ever said anything but I found it very awkward. It was my first lesson about the risk of hiring locals.

  2. RM provides a spot to report fake ads. I hope you do! I was going to, but they ask for proof and my detective skills aren’t as good as yours.

Thanks for the reminder, I did report it as fake. As much as I’d like to take credit for being a great detective it just happens that he’s one of my favs on IG so I recognized it immediately. Moritz_hau on IG.

  3. I propositioned him on grindr several years ago when we lived in the same city. We were close to a deal when I realized he worked with a good friend of mine at the time, which spooked me so I didn’t follow through.

I saw him on grindr again the last time I was in Atlanta and his profile text said something along the lines of ‘don’t insult me by offering money I can’t be bought’. I favorited his profile and it doesn’t say anything now.

I have a hunch that he would be a good time, but probably pricey. I’ll give him a try the next time we are in the same area.

  4. It also depends on the time of day. Most hotel lobbies, even those with small lobbies, are busy enough in the morning and early evening that it’s easy to blend in with the crowd. I’m usually stuck in suburban hotels when I travel for work which is worse because they will often require a key just to get in the door after a certain hour.

At the place I usually stay in the Chicago north burbs I’ll get a room near the back entrance so I can let any guests in through there. I’m sure there are security cameras on the door but I’ve never had a problem.

  5. I hope some of the OP posts are tongue in cheek. It’s was a transaction not a date. Thank him like you would any other service provider. A brief note, a good review, a tip and repeat business. Just remember he gave you a good time because it’s his job, not because he’s into you. If you come across as ‘in love’ he will either run for the hills or try to take advantage of you.

"Identifying himself as Mentouri’s brother, the caller said that he did not know how his brother passed away. News4 Investigates reached out to the Gwinnett County coroner and police department, but neither had reports of a death with Mentroui’s name."

Google search his legal name and it gets even crazier.

  7. Instagram does not pay posters directly, they are paid direct endorsement deals. On YouTube they make their money when viewers watch the commercials attached to their videos, in addition to commercial endorsements.

When I see photos like the ones above, especially when the guy is alone, I have always assumed there is some super rich old guy behind it.

I’m more curious about the guys with 20-100k followers (more likely to be in my price range haha) who fly out with a couple other guys to meet a photographer and his assistant for a day of shooting.

I guess I can see where the model is getting unique content, a short trip and free prints out of it, but what the heck are these photographers doing with all those photos?

  8. I’m hoping someone here can shed some light on this. Since I joined Instagram I’ve seen hundreds of bodybuilders and aesthetic guys posting about traveling for modeling shoots In Miami, LA, etc. The thing is, these shoots usually don’t seem to have any purpose that I can tell. There is never any follow through showing their work in an ad or magazine.

I’m curious - how do the economics work? Are the models being paid? How do the photographers make money? It seems like for all the beach photo shoots I see posted on IG I should be seeing more of those photos in real life.

  9. I used to also be concerned about Onlyfans driving boys away from escorting but not so much anymore. Escorting provides a degree of anonymity which one doesn't have if they are posting videos on onlyfans.

I agree. I’ve never been into porn workers myself and I still find hot, quality guys who prefer the anonymity offered by other means such as seeking, grindr and Craigslist (RIP). The public porn lifestyle isn’t attractive to most. Once it’s on the internet it’s there forever.

It also seems to me that the very successful ones are the exception not the rule. Most seem to be teaser/scammers constantly looking for the next one-month subscriber victim. Whenever I’m interested in an OF page I look it up on the LPSG site, and almost every time posters complain about the lack of quality content.

  10. Over the years I have had a handful of guys express such interest, and I've never taken any up on such an offer, though the ones I’ve had always felt to me like physical intimacy would not be part of the arrangement. One of them reasoned that ‘you’ll get to see me in my speedo all the time.’ Maybe they assumed that because I hired them for a couple hours at a time I must be lonely? (I’m horny not lonely) No thanks!

Honestly I just don’t get some of the posts I see about paying guys to party at your mansion, be a guest on a 5 diamond life changing vacation, or covering their room and board when nothing physical is explicitly expected. I guess we all have our own reasons for doing what we do.

  11. For the past year I have had a burner account with a mildly suggestive screen name and profile, and I follow about 900 guys. There are 6 who I followed after meeting on grindr by way of generosity, and one who actually messaged me on IG. He’s a straight fitness model/influencer with 19k followers and wanted $800 for 3 hours and was into everything except actual sex, including kissing. Not too bad for how hot he was, unfortunately he’s not doing that anymore. I have not yet approached anyone on IG myself, so I’m appreciative of you guys sharing your experiences!

  12. The redesigned site is such a piece of garbage that I only log in when I get a warning that my account will be deleted if I don’t show activity. From an escort perspective, even 10 years ago when it was more popular, the demographic of the ‘pros’ felt similar to what you’d find on backpage, if that means anything to you.

  13. I agree with everything @orville said. I normally hire for one or two, occasionally three hours and all of that time is spent in private. Usually just one hour the first meet unless his reviews are exceptional. Some guys like to make a date night out of it but that’s not for me. Heck, I don’t even like sleeping in the same bed as someone I’m dating!

  14. For me it’s been worth it as I live in an area with few Rentmen who are my type, but a decent number on Seeking. I also prefer discretion and feel the ones I meet on Seeking do too.

You don’t need a paid membership to browse profiles and decide if there are enough prospects to make it worth a shot. I suggest only paying for one month and after exchanging initial pleasantries take the conversation to another app, as Seeking has a reputation for banning accounts without warning or refund.

  15. This reminds me of after parties at circuit events I'd attend 15-20 years ago. I don't live in NYC and am only familiar with Adonis from what I've seen on this site. Did they require compensation because they are straight? Or was is it a commercial video that someone is profiting from?

  16. Pensacola pride is a huge gay event every Memorial Day weekend. The area is somewhat popular with southern gays the rest of the year, and it’s fairly gay friendly - but not a gay resort town by any means. I’d say if you’re looking for company, your best bet is to find another visitor on one of the sites, or perhaps try your luck on an app like grindr.

  17. I had it in March during the initial outbreak. Fortunately my case was more like a mild cold. One of my employees who is around 30yo and much healthier than me got quite sick from it but recovered in two weeks. A colleague of mine who lives in NYC, a 55yo man who seemed quite healthy, passed from it. If you can’t keep your hormones in check I suggest at least getting an antibodies test to see if you may have been asymptomatic. It’s just not worth the risk!

  18. I did have a more general question.

Are guys on SA looking for a place to live? Or just regular meetups?

Some of us still live in condos.

They are looking for a wide variety of things, but at the end of the day it’s about compensation, whether it be tuition assistance, vacations, dinners & shopping, rent assistance or the widely preferred cash. Some, but not many, advertise as seeking a live-in arrangement.

  19. You all are much better people than me. When I see a post like that my knee jerk reaction is to think A. The person is clueless to the legal problems it could potentially cause them and their clients, and B. It may just be a scam to solicit sympathy donations from gullible individuals. Fortunately for all of us most people are much nicer than me.
