Looking forward to seeing this. Maybe Spike Lee will finally be given his long-overdue Oscar.

I fell in love with her in "Apple Tree" and it continued with "Nashville." She was an amazing talent but didn't appear to have the heart for fame as indicated above.

If “the closet” is so self-evident as the movie’s theme, it is certainly odd that it is almost never mentioned as the movie’s theme.
 
Instead “Brokeback” is falsely claimed to be a conventional love story — hetero in the guise of homo. Nope.
 
Both narratively and visually, “Brokeback Mountain” is a tragedy about the specifically gay phenomenon of the “closet” — about the disastrous emotional and moral consequences of erotic self-repression and of the social intolerance that first causes and then exacerbates it. If Jack and Ennis are tainted, it’s not because they’re gay, but because they pretend not to be; it’s the lie that poisons everyone they touch.

Especially since a totally undeserving movie - Crash - won it that year.

I have no patience with people who claim certain breeds of dogs are not more dangerous than others -- it depends on how they are trained thus the owner is responsible. That type of reasoning makes me thing of the idiot NRA members who claim guns don't kill, people kill.

1. I didn’t bold any info. It is how google presented the summary in the search results. I’m on mobile now. Just copied and pasted. I didn’t have the time to edit. Yes the bolding it’s weird and overused. Not my choice.
 
2. Thank you for expressing how you feel and letting me know that my comments do not make you feel comfortable. It’s always good to voice your opinion on how you feel so the other person knows that it’s making you uncomfortable. When you do this the other person usually apologizes and stops the behavior that you don’t like. It usually works. Look:

An admitted lurker here on this site, but had to add my three cents. Extraordinary direction and vision by Spike Lee. Many intriguing cinematic cross references; similarity, many strong, visceral performances. But ultimately I walked out blown away.

Should I have ever ventured onto the simulated fracturing of that glass walkway, I'm sure the labor and downtime expended for the cleanup and removal of my bodily evacuations would have prompted it's immediate discontinuance.

Saw it today. Strong strong strong indictment of racism. Top contender for the academy award for the pic and especially Spike Lee. I gave it a 10 on IMDB. The sad thing is that it won't be seen by the people that need to see it the most: the bigots and Trumpeteers.
