  1. Just checked out the ebook. Thanks for the recommendation.
  2. Let me keep this reply on topic by first answering the question: yes. Real reason for posting: my sex-starved mind thought the red words in your post described a hot overnight encounter with another poster. Now that would be an interesting thread.... (Not saying I was definitely wrong, but it doesn't seem to be what any other responder thought.)
  3. It's possible we were actually in that second floor flat and I misinterpreted something he said as meaning someone else was sharing the space. I could have asked, of course, but at the time I that felt asking had the potential of making an uncomfortable situation even more uncomfortable. And I was horny enough that I wasn't going to cancel in any case .
  4. I'm pretty sure I saw an out-of-town escort at (one of?) your airbnb's a few years ago. I have to say that I was not comfortable in the bedroom knowing that I had to cross common living space to get to the bathroom and that there might be someone in the other bedroom. Just one data point.
  5. Gotta ask...can you post a picture of yourself as homecoming king?
  6. When I dealt with a similar situation, I was denied because the reason for the decrease in income was not on their (quite limited) list of reasons...to be clear (for those who have yet to deal with this), you can request an IRMAA decrease only if your income will decline (or has declined, since they work with a 2-year lag) for a reason on their list.
  7. Thanks. I should have been able to figure out the origin by myself...
  8. Can someone explain the word "scally" to me?
  9. One more thing (just in case you didn't know). I believe the first time you sign up for a supplemental policy ("medigap"), there's a limited time frame during which you can switch providers if you're unhappy with the company you've chosen. Beyond that time, you might have to pay a higher premium and/or provide evidence of insurability if you want to switch providers
  10. I've been using nomorobo with a great deal of success. Free for landlines. I didn't upgrade to their fee-based service for cell phones because the combination of T-Mobile and google (I have a pixel) weeds out most spam calls and texts. The one disadvantage to nomorobo is that your phone gives one ring with each intercepted spam call.
  11. What do you do in cases like this? My strong inclination would be to decline; I'd worry that being forced to lower his rate for me would make for a bad attitude during our session. But then maybe these guys were just hoping to get lucky and never really expected to get that much.
  12. Read it and weep! (Actually, once I got over the sticker shock, I was happy to pay the extra and help keep the system solvent.)
  13. PS Friends of mine recommended a particular insurance broker in my area who was very knowledgeable, worked with all the companies, and even did most of the enrollment paperwork for me the first time. He is paid by the companies, so it cost nothing. But I wouldn't choose someone off the street; a lot of them work for only one or two companies.
  14. wsc has hit many of the important points. I decided against advantage because most plans available in my area had limited networks of doctors and hospitals while I have free choice with Medicare B plus a medigap policy. There was one advantage plan without those network restrictions, but it was way more expensive than part b + medigap. Stand alone drug plans (part D) are a bit of a pain in the ass; you need to check during the open enrollment every year b/c their provisions change. I've had a different plan every year so far.
  15. Any chance of your posting a screen grab for those of us who have no idea what you're talking about?
  16. Wrestling, dedicated to pubic assistance! 99% real shots of real wrestlers without photoshopping. Something new every day or two, not overwhelming. Kudos to @@marylander1940.
  17. Sorry to hear this. I had a memorable evening with him at Alibi and Boardwalk several years ago. Thanks for posting.
  18. I don't know whether these particular videos are candid or not. But I do know (from answers I've received to questions in this thread and maybe in other forums on this site as well) that massage parlors with extended services like the ones depicted in these videos do exist in Japan. Here's one such site for example.
  19. Do the subtitles need to translate the dialog? If they are porn films, I bet I could add subtitles without understanding a word of French.
  20. Thank you thank you thank you! I was inspired to look back at my old posts. It's sort of a pain getting to the very beginning and I only had time to read my very first post and the replies it inspired, but that was a great start. It was about Montreal (surprise surprise) and there were wonderful descriptions of experiences at Campus, Stock, Adonis, Taboo, including comments by someone then unknown to me who ended up becoming a good friend. Again, thank you!
  21. As far as I'm concerned, like and dislike are plenty. Trying to parse the emotional differences among, for example, anger, dislike, and bomb is worse than trying to decide whether to click 5 or 6 or 7 on one of those annoying merchant surveys. And the ad hominem icon? --what exactly does that represent? But...I've to to say I like the look of the verbose icon, though I'm willing to sacrifice it for the greater good.
  22. If you know the flight number, you may be able to find out on a tracking site like flightradar. (My apologies if someone else has already suggested this; I did not read to the end of the thread.)
