Will doxyPEP create antibiotic resistant STDs?
+ newatthis replied to marylander1940's topic in Men's Health
Your use of such phrases makes me wonder whether you're writing about "PrEP" rather than "PEP"...can one really describe someone as "being on DoxyPEP"? Could you clarify? Also, it would be helpful if you could include links to the studies you refer to. Thanks. -
I was there a couple of weeks ago. My experience was roughly like yours. Taboo, for many years my favorite, was dead every time I stopped by...no DJ, no customers, and essentially* no dancers (*essentially means one night there was the cutest twink in the world behind the bar -- and no once else. I asked him about other dancers and he said "just me." "How can you dance if you have to tend bar?" "Gerry takes over for me." (Gerry is the long-time manager.) I told him I'd love to do some dances with him, but needed to see him on stage first -- by now we're clearly flirting. He jumped up on stage, did some bumps and grinds, showed me his butt and dick, and jumped down. We did some dances...well worth my time and money. ) (Taboo now has curtains on the booths by the way.) Campus was pretty lively every time, but not until well past 9:30 pm...I suspect it was even louder and more crowded after I went home. The new owner has a new business model...no more porn on the screens, but a well-produced, sometimes humorous, montage of the dancers. (I miss the raunch of the old Campus! ) He seems to be drawing a lot of locals who want to hang out with their friends. I bonded with one dancer who told me that almost all the dancers are straight, and many are refugees from Stock. That was certainly the vibe I got. He claimed that most of the women who frequent Campus are themselves strippers in the straight clubs. I have never encountered a problem doing whatever I wanted (or the dancers would allow) in the booths at Campus, no matter how exposed the booths were. I remarked to my informant, who himself used to dance at Stock, that the outside terrace bar at Stock seemed to be doing good business, He replied that inside was dead, rather like the description I gave above of Taboo. As a result, I never tried Stock. (Sorry @Lucky 😞) For the record, l'Adonis/Luxe/Expose is now the Red Diamond. There were dancers hanging around outside when I walked past. No one to tempt me inside.

Inside Connection with Providers Here
+ newatthis replied to FaustOust's topic in Questions About Hiring
I've always felt that providers like you, who are actively and substantively involved in this site, are marketing...and it works! -- at least for those like you whose comments are tempered, informative, and interesting. My problem is that those providers almost always live far from me and all I can do is note them for future reference if our paths cross. (There are also occasional providers whose participation here has made me note them as people to be avoided.) -
Ahhh...sorry for the misunderstanding. Over the time I've known him, his stage name has changed from time to time, but it's always been something close to what he is using currently.

Both links you gave in your first post (May 1) still work...

His name has come up periodically here. Here's what I wrote in response to one query: "...the real thing -- I can think of only 2 masseurs in 20 years as good as he is. Gives a real massage with extensive "sensual" elements. You should discuss what you're looking for erotically with him when booking -- his price goes up if you are interested in what he considers escort services (he also advertises on rentmen with a slightly different handle). He does not try to upsell you in the moment. I found his non-escort erotic massage more than enough. Highly recommended."

any idea of why the name changed? new management? I was an occasional customer when dragged there by some cute dancer who wanted me to buy him underwear.

Has FetchV been checked for virus content?

Oh, I like "twinkling"! Gets me thinking about other possibilities, e.g. twinklet.

I didn't know, or didn't remember, that AL was involved with creating this site's predecessor. If you -- or anyone else -- knows more, I (for one), would love to hear about it. [My intention was not to create a long excursus in the original topic -- if one of our tech experts can create a new topic on this subject, preserving these few posts, please feel free to do so with my thanks.]

<going off topic> oh, that name brings back memories...way way back I discovered his web site. And then, one day, he asked his readers to vote for him (as escort of the year?) on hooboy's site...and now, as a result, I'm here. Maybe Aaron Lawrence deserves his own thread.

It's always hard to say what's "normal" based on a few visits each year. But I can say for sure that it's much more normal now than it was in the past. Back then, dancers were very wary about going back to the hotel with customers they didn't know well (and many just didn't do hotel privates, period). Typically it would take multiple evenings of lap dances before the question would get a "yes". (This is making me nostalgic about my first such experience...after asking and getting turned down on night 1, suddenly on night 3 the dancer, without any prompting from me, told me he'd be willing to go back to my hotel. When I asked what had changed, he said "now I know you.") Nowadays, I am often offered hotel visits by dancers I'm chatting with at the bar, even before we've done a private lap dance.

'Feud: Capote vs The Swans' premieres January 31 on FX

Dorothy Parker, I believe. -
I thought the paid tour was well worth the price (I did it a long time ago, around 2007). I had previously done the free gardens, but apart from the house itself, the tour includes many other landscaped parts of the estate. The pictures in @foxy's post give you an idea. Back then, it was imperative to reserve well in advance, at least in high tourist season...IIRC, we went online the moment the dates we were interested in went on sale.

Late to this thread. I first met Keven at Campus in Montreal on his first day as a dancer. He was very young then (certainly in his teens), didn't know the ropes, and startled me with how far he was willing to go in a private dance (use your imagination) -- his initiative, not mine. Over the years, I would run into him from time to time at various strip clubs, sometimes as a dancer, sometimes as a customer, though he didn't appear to be a regular dancer at any of them. We would chat occasionally; he was always pleasant and interesting. Never got around to hiring him outside of the clubs, even when he started advertising. If the reports here are correct, I do wonder why he would choose to attend a private US university.

I'm not a particular fan of WWII history, but Torch and Overlord are familiar to me. Market Garden and Jupiter are a bridge too far.

Thanks to @mike carey and @Luv2play for their responses. I did google it myself later in the day and found the explanation. But both @mike carey and wikipedia seemed to think that "Operation Market Garden" was something I would know about. Am I really so out of things? Is this something well-known to the most people?

I always wondered about the origin of that expression (yes, I know about google).

Eclipsophile has complete information about all aspects of this eclipse, specifically including weather information for locations along the path of totality. I can tell you from experience that weather is the most important variable in choosing a viewing site. Here is another site with nice animations (although I couldn't find weather information there).

2024 Free Admission Dates at US Park Service Sites
+ newatthis replied to + azdr0710's topic in Museums and Parks
My understanding (from a friend who recently bought one) is that an annual Golden Age Passport costs $20; a lifetime pass is $80. BUT...if you buy 4 annual passes (in 4 successive years? --not sure), you get, or can get, an annual pass free of charge. -
Giving Christmas gift to providers

Is it really your mailman's fault? In my neighborhood, the mail carriers have a full day's work and someone has to be last. My own mailman varies the order in which he does his route...he can arrive at my house any time in the afternoon between 1 and 6 pm. -
This is called an origin story I think....
-
When I "wondered" above, I had forgotten the most obvious way this happens...someone asking if you're married or have a girlfriend, which is not uncommon in social situations. I still find that an intrusive question, but less objectionable than "are you gay?".
-
One has to wonder why someone would ask such a question (in general; obviously there are specific circumstances or conversations where it might be appropriate).
