  1. Lerner and Loewe channeling George Bernard Shaw: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kT722r21eK0
  2. In most jurisdictions photography is usually prohibited where people would have an expectation of privacy, like bathrooms, locker rooms, and dressing rooms. Signage only goes so far however to counter ignorance and boorish behavior.
  3. I was at work on the other side of New Jersey. Tried to follow events on our computers but our internet connection was overwhelmed; relied on reports from family members calling. My niece was performing with the NYC Ballet in Italy; the company had to wait a week before being able to return. My nephew, a police officer, was asked to go into the city to assist, but was told to turn around when he was halfway there since they were “locking down” access to Manhattan. My oldest brother and his partner were finishing packing and awaiting their ride to JFK airport; when the driver arrived they had to tell him what was happening and said they weren’t going anywhere. I remember a sense of disbelief and dread as well as concern for my scattered family members.

  5. Over 60 years ago my city, in addition to a few stands located in lobbies, had a shoe shine shop. Besides having your shoes shined there were several booths (similar to public toilet booths) where you would drop your trousers, hang them over the door, and the clerk would brush and then steam press them. Being a young lad this all fascinated me; I suppose they also offered tailoring. Long gone, and have never found anyone who remembers the place.
  6. June also appeared in the 1938 MGM film adaptation of "A Christmas Carol". She played Belinda Cratchit, one of Bob Cratchit’s children. It was her first movie role, and she appeared alongside her parents, Gene and Kathleen Lockhart, who played Bob and Mrs Cratchit.
  7. “Preserving quality of life for New Yorkers is a priority for the city” Wouldn’t making sex work legal and regulated contribute to quality of life? It seems that regulation could reduce sex trafficking, spread of STD’s, and underworld influence as well as adding a few dollars to the tax coffers.
  8. “Papa” would be the affectionate or slang word for “Daddy”.
  9. With one R in hand it’s the gland, Where two R’s are found it’s on the ground.

In his Pornhub profile he lists Vermont as where he lives. And if he’s not gay he certainly is sending the wrong message.
  11. In eastern PA I would recommend MBody Studio - Bethlehem
  12. You can find it here: Miami Levi massage
  13. Tom Vacarro is the masseur.
  14. Here are two books to consider: Randy Shilts https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/And_the_Band_Played_On Abraham Verghese https://www.amazon.com/My-Own-Country-Doctors-Story/dp/0679752927
  15. A one-off quick read: Backtrack by Joseph Hansen. A teenager investigates his father’s death. Hard boiled detective writing but with sharp wit and a coming of age and coming out story all tumbled in one.
  16. A good series of mysteries featuring a gay insurance investigator; complex characters and a great sense of place - Southern California in the 70’s and 80’s. This is the first of twelve: https://www.goodreads.com/series/52364-dave-brandstetter
  17. Not the hottest (unless you are into feet) but certainly one of the oddest massage videos out there. And an apartment so unique that it would supply the folks at Lurid Digs with enough material for a week of snarky tweets. https://massagegay.newtumbl.com/post/175747280-uxh5ep
  18. The Cloisters has part of the Met’s collection of Medieval art displayed in a building that simulates (and in some cases actually uses) the architecture of the time. Evocative atmosphere, nice garden elements, and great views of the Hudson and Palisades. https://www.metmuseum.org/visit/plan-your-visit/met-cloisters
  19. Pennsylvania like several other states has strict requirements to be trained and licensed. You can ignore those and advertise yourself as a masseur but may find yourself reported, investigated, and fined. How often it happens (getting fined that is) I really don’t know. Probably depends on a disgruntled client making a complaint.
  20. I imagine being in an abandoned country house with the production crew watching and endless retakes results in a certain amount of shrinkage, plus it was filmed in the fall so certainly not a warm, relaxing environment.
  21. Sir Alan Bates
  22. From a 2009 photo exhibit of works by Bruce Weber "A Little Journey in my Back Yard"
  23. Uber daddy Dirk Caber on the receiving end!
  24. In reference to YMMV guys may want to consider providers with and without licenses have to be cautious. In Pennsyltucky they can get fined up to several thousand dollars if a complaint is filed with the state. And it can have nothing to do with "extras". A provider (unlicensed) I used was investigated because a disgruntled client filed a complaint saying that the provider's website showed a bare butt! After more than a year of grief the provider got off with a warning letter. What saved him from a fine? He never used the word massage in his ads...
