It’s 59 at the moment with a forecasted high of 70 here in the coastal part of Washington north of Seattle. We’ve been having lovely cool weather!

I’m not sure about the waxing, although the back is pretty tough and you should do it if you hate the hair on your back. I’ve never had hair on my back. Even my butt is naturally smooth. When I’m doing a lot of bike riding in the warmer months, I get my legs sugared, which is more effective and less painful than waxing. Sugaring works really well.

Generally, if someone has been blocked, they may get a message that “this customer is unavailable at this time”. If they have an iPhone and are using SMS, I think they’ll just never get the notice that the text has been received or read.

If I’m in country, I’ll do it next year. I just signed up for a Century Ride in July. I’m totally addicted to riding and have several bikes in both locations where I live.

A young man who I see often in SoCal and I did a little experiment one evening. After a lovely French dinner (he’d never enjoyed French cuisine before), we walked a mile or so past a bunch of bars and restaurants along the Balboa Peninsula beach walk. Not a person even noticed or said anything. It’s a different world now. Some providers like to kiss on departure from an airport or hotel. I used to be nervous about others’ reactions. It took me a while to not worry about it.

I spend a fair amount of time in Europe, and I agree that the clothing styles have converged over the recent years. In Austria and Germany the kids often wear skater clothes and similar jeans and sneakers. I agree with the comments about American women. One also sees a number of older men with the following: grandpa jeans or cargo shorts, plastic baseball hats that often feature the ship on which the wearer served, the ubiquitous white vinyl sneakers, and white tube socks.
