My perspective may be limited, as you say, but I've seen enough first hand (straight, bi and gay guys) to be convinced that every pot has a lid. And in a pinch, even a non fitting lid can get the job done...(Don't ask, you're not ready for that conversation; trust me!!)

It is just their marketing spin. You will be surprised how many guys on Grindr indicate in their profile that they are a "top" and then approach me looking to 'bottom'. You just can't believe what is written most of the time.

Sometimes we do what needs to be done, regardless of the emotional impact. I did the same for my mother. I found a birthday card she got for me and never had the chance to present to me amongst her things (as was her custom) - still have it to this day; it is special to me.

This has happened to me a couple of times. When the provider tells you that you are 1) fun to be with, 2) easy to talk to or 3) a cool guy they would like to see again, that is usually the warning sign that things are about to go in a direction I do not want it to go in. At least in my situation. So I am very clear with them on my expectations and the time period I have available. I usually make them aware that I have plans for later (dinner, drinks with friends, going to a movie, work etc). I have also used my phone as a crutch by setting an alarm so it will alert us both that time is up. Don't try to be subtle - it doesn't work. Be respectful but direct; that is the advice I would give. By the way, I always avoid alcohol - it is one of those things that makes you slip...

In a moment of weakness I reached out today and got an appointment with Kevin. I was quite surprised - went into it with some trepidation, but it worked out well. He was on time, very pleasant, not overly chatty and actually went over the agreed time. Massage was just a little better than average, based on my experience - really was full body. Not quite as ripped as in the pics on his profile, but it is him and he looks younger than the pics would indicate. Walked away from our session happy, though I do think he is straight. My impression is that he listed the crazy $ amount quoted above in one specific location where he could get it. He indicated he would like to see me again, so I think he plans to stick around NYC and his rates have been updated to reflect the NYC market. He also plans to travel so if you enjoy traveling masseurs and his type, keep an eye out. I think I may repeat when next I feel like a bit of pampering - got a good vibe from him. As always, YMMV and maybe somebody else can chime in with their experience...
