Thanks for understanding my point and rebutting. As my initial comments have triggered many who feel that their right to sexual pleasure is being “judged” for the sake public health... I’ll use myself as an example, and turn the conversation away from sex. For the past three weeks, I have done the following things to assure that I don’t catch the cornonavirus, or give it to anyone else: 1.) practiced social distancing, keeping myself at least 6 feet from others at all times. I won’t share even an elevator with anyone. 2.) have stopped all in-person visits to family members who are older and possibly vulnerable. 3.) have stayed at home, minimizing all public activities, except for the gas station and the grocery store, which I wore face covering a and disposable gloves at both. 4.) Have not had any sexual encounters of any kind (that involves another Person) For me, in this context, I see interpersonal sex as a direct opposite of the social distancing requirements identified to stopping the spread. This isn’t a debate on sexual positivity, or sexual “rights”. This is entirely different. There’s no “PrEP” pill to pop in this situation. People can literally die in days, because of some guys lack of self restraint to fuck, because he feels he has the right to be careless.

My point isn’t at all about morals. It’s about social responsibility.

Displacing blatant sexual irresponsibility, by making comparisons of acts of free will is a very clever debating tactic, but in reality, it’s a weak attempt at excusing one’s careless behavior. Having liquor stores open allows people to stay home, and have some type of relief from this stressful time. However, practicing direct physical acts of “personal” services, is just about as blatantly careless, and selfish, as those spring breakers who partied all over Florida. As we’re trying our best to practice social distancing, this is definitely NOT the time to use “sex positivity”, as a means of backing up ones “rights” to willingly spread a virus that there’s no cure for that’s killing people within DAYS. The only acts of sex that should be promoted in the realm of “sex positivity”, and “sexual freedom” at this point is: 1.) masturbation 2.) virtual sex 3.) porn 4.) toys 5.) celibacy/abstinence 6.) Only fans Please be safe, stay home and avoid contact with anyone.

I was “introvert-shamed”, for many years, until my mid 30s, and started living in my truth. Previously I was pressured into an extroverted lifestyle, which I never really liked (group trips, constant interactions with people I didn’t choose to be in my presence, and social activities I felt obligated to). Even as a child, I was forced into attending family functions playing with other kids (as at that time “socializing” children, was supposed to be a positive aspect of raising them.) Coming into “gay world”, was daunting for me as well, as I was bombarded with social interactions with snarky, vapid, obnoxious, inauthentic people who drained me to the core. I literally needed a “social detox”. I did a mental “spring cleaning”, close to five years ago and haven’t looked back. I now enjoy my solitude and love traveling alone, sightseeing alone, and enjoying quality time with people that I CHOOSE to be around ( I have a small selection of great, authentic friends whom I respect, and truly like being around). I do what I want to do, on my terms, with no pressures of social obligations. I now live in my truth as an introvert, and I love it!!!!!
