It definitely should be considered a red flag. So far for me the guys who've asked up front have at least been nice about it. The last one said something like "I'm worried I'll forget to ask for it after". They were also positive experiences otherwise.

It would make me very uncomfortable and off-putting, and it has only happened twice when i first started exploring this, but in the escort's defense, it was only after about 30 - 45 mintues after initially meeting and we were in public bars/casino's at that time getting to know each other and in restropect i think the guys were worried that I would be the one who would bounce and not live up to the session expectations and could just "talk and dash".

I like your approach. I do the same. Better safe than sorry and I prefer to put it all out there up front. More than not, it is not an issue. However, there are times when you may receive a message with a ridiculous offer, which is worse than no response. Professionalism goes both ways.

Truth in advertising. Yes. He is everything he lists in his profile. Additionally, as some of the members have mentioned, he does have this odd quirk where he may send you a barrage of texts requesting a follow up or other. I am totally opposed to sending my photograph to a potential hire. I have always believed, and still do, that truly professional escorts do NOT require photographs of their potential clients. Nothing worse than having a provider show up, failing to provide. I felt so silly, years ago, when I learned more about the subject.
