We’ve got both individual masseurs and spas and a great opportunity for either side to broadcast measures they’ve taken. It can be dicey because of an innuendo of sexual activity but I think both should be investing in and advertising their Monkeypox efforts, including vax status, latex gloves and disposable sheets. I for one would welcome it.

Has anyone explored the potential of using latex gloves during massage? I wonder how a spa would react if I brought surgical gloves for the masseur to use. Or if any private masseurs are using them. I know it’s tough because a lot of the massage may include forearms rubbing but I might feel more confident if I knew a spa had handed them out.

Whether you can believe this guy or not is up for debate, but I’ve been told that someone claimed that he received MPV from massage. Now again, I don’t know whether the failed to mention m2m sex because massage was a convenient excuse OR if the massage turned to sex. I understand the allure but I actually prefer them clothed. My fantasy is that I’m receiving a legit massage in a spa setting and I don’t know if I’ll be touched in a sensual way. Having the masseur clothed makes it seem that this wasn’t the original agenda.

Me too! Oddly, for me, it’s the slow steady strokes that get me so close. It’s like when someone tries hard to make me shoot fast and furious, it’s futile. But if you try to just give me pleasure then I can’t hold off.

Full transparency (while posting under a disguised username) I’m a lover of massage and my partner doesn’t know it. Other than an occasional massage, I am otherwise faithful. I am incredibly concerned about monkey pox transmission from massage. I’ve always felt that I was “cheating” safely by only having touch (no oral no anal) but now that may be thrown out the window.

This isn’t necessarily “unexpected” but reflect something I LOVE when a masseur does it. There is a moment when laying on my stomach when a masseur grabs my leg and positions it so my leg is bent and raised high almost like a frog. In this position he can rub up my thigh entirely and my erection is much more exposed and accessible. With both hands rubbing up my thighs his hands brush against me, easily raising my body slightly above the table. Same here! Especially from these guys who are more than likely not professionally trained. They can cause some real damage. Stay away from the spinal cord and neck too.

My biggest advice is to take the plunge. Seems you’ve already done some research, which is smart, but don’t overly map it out. In short, if you’ve decided on a masseur at a spa, then yes to book in advance is always the way to go to ensure you get who you want. Walking in can work but in some situations you may be turned away entirely if they are all working. While not always the case it can happen. For spas open late, you can absolutely get a later massage but again, worth your time to reserve a spot in advance. Ultimately, you’re going to have someone rub your body and give you pleasure. Enjoy it and don’t sweat the details.

Do you want private masseurs or a spa? I have seen some tandems private guys that know this ritual and can be quite enjoyable but in a spa, my experience has been that the masseurs are very uncomfortable executing a massage with another in the room. They like the experience one on one for the most part and you’ll be able to create a much better experience if you do that.

I’ll give another case where I imagined I was the unexpected twist for the masseur at a spa here in NYC. I had been to a spa in K town where the massage was adequate but nothing sensual. I had been worked up and no relief in sight. So I called another spa and requested 30 minutes as I only really needed a release. So I go in the room and instead of the standard, undress and start face down, I got naked, still hard and laid on my back. When the masseur walked in, he had quite the surprise but he took the cue properly and instantly went to work on what needed most attention. It was 30 minutes of pure bliss.

I never knew any regulars at Green House but always felt the rooms were nice and the towel heater in the room meant the masseurs didn’t have to leave midway through massage. I will give this place a try sometime soon.

I’ll contribute some more to this thread. I’ve had a number of surprising things happen to me during a massage, which I guess is what I crave at this time. I appreciate how many on here get a regular and stick with them, but I love the unknown, even if that results in some clunker experiences along the way. I used to go to a provider on 2nd avenue just north of 42nd. I can’t recall how I found it but it was basically a chiropractor practice and this one asian guy had his own massage room. What was unexpected about this is you’d sit in the waiting room with other standard chiropractor customers and he would call you in his room. He would put on medical gloves (which it turns out kinda turned me on) and provided a medical grade massage complete with being draped throughout until the very end where he would remove the sheet and relieve me. For some reason each time, I thought - oh that was a one off, he won’t do that again, but each time he would. And he was excellent. I think he’s been gone from that spot for a number of years but I wonder if others ever visited there.

I understand the tackiness of praising one’s own skills on a separate post. I’m fairness he’s not a marketing professional. That said, I am curious to know about this statement of being concerned about personal privacy and not being monitored. Was the spa monitoring him? What exactly does that mean?
