Regarding Helmut - I admire / envy someone who has knees like that!

They sent me an email and asked me about the service. I spoke with two different people. Each had an "accent". One of the survey questions was "Please rate how well you could understand the Amazon representative."

It's mail in here as far as I know. I don't know when it expires. I've not touched my wallet in months. I have it in a drawer in the kitchen.

I called Amazon today. They are going to send me another copy gratis.

I don't know. I'm not a mechanical person. I drove less than 500 miles per year. I didn't drive every day nor after dark. I never used the heater nor the a/c. I did use the defroster some time. In another I shared that I have never changed a tire.

Sadly his character seems to be straight. I was glad the female roommate left and sorry she has returned. I liked that male neighbor he had.

Some is due to overindulgence but often it is just do to family history, genes etc.. Some people are tall, some small, some fat, some thin. I'm a diabetic. I did nothing to make myself one. My mother was a diabetic; it killed her at age 56. Her mother was a diabetic; though she lived into 80s it caused her to have both legs amputated (below the knees). I had a sister. She was not diabetic. I am. Sometimes it's just the luck of draw. These overweight female friends I had accepted me for who I am for which I will forever be grateful. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ I've said this so many times but I'll say it again. You have to judge people as individuals and not a part of some group.

That is cruel! I have / had several overweight female friends and they have shared with me the hell they go through. I even attended several OA meetings with them; they didn't want to go alone. Dieting is difficult. Other addictions one can go cold turkey - drugs, smoking, alcohol etc. - but one needs food to survive!

Thanks! I found a site. It wanted me to sign up, create a password etc.. It mentioned delivery from Safeway. There has no been a Safeway store here for maybe 30 years.

A couple of years ago I had a close call. I was driving back from the store. Luckily I was getting green lights the closer I got to my apartment. I had been having stiffness in my legs. So I get to the apartment parking lot. I could move my foot off the gas but not lift it to put on the brake. YIKES! If I had kept going I would have hit the fence behind the building. So I turned the engine off stopping the car.

No store here has home delivery. I've checked. Pizza does and some restaurants.

The main reason I'm having it registered as inoperable is because of the needed smog inspection. If not for that I would have paid the regular registration fee and kept up the insurance. I could have it towed to the mechanic and had him get it in operating condition and do the smog and then have them return it to me. Maybe I will if I get better.

I haven't. But one Halloween at my grandmother's there was a Halloween party at some church a few blocks away. And they sent the children around the neighborhood asking for certain items. The child who came to the door wanted a 50 cent coin. I had one and gave it to him. I expected him to give me coins in payment but he didn't.

I have had my car parked in the parking lot of the apartment. Many years ago I parked on the street and someone slashed my tires. But even parking in the apartment lot is no guarantee. There were some teenage boys who pranked my car. One time someone broke the passenger side window. One time someone emptied the car out but it was my fault; I hadn't locked it. A tenant had his car stolen.

I took the ambulance to the ER in May of last year. I stood up and was quite lite headed so I called 911. It was in late evening. Once at the ER I began throwing up. The nurse was not pleasant in fact I thought her rude. I wanted to spend the night and find out why I was lite headed. They refused. They got me a taxi ride home gratis plus they gave me a prescription for I had no idea what at the time. I was hoping for the lite headedness but I found out later it was for the vomiting. The taxi stopped at a 24/7 pharmacy and I got the prescription filled for free. Several days later I went to see my doctor. The anniversary of mother's death in June always makes me anxious and last year was the 40th anniversary. The doctor said that I was suffering from anxiety. At the ER the exam room they put me in the door was too narrow for the gurney to get through so I had to get up and walk to the bed in the exam room. Did I say the nurse was rude? INDEED!!! :mad::mad: On the ride home I chatted with the taxi drive. Even though I was at that time still able to get around somewhat my landlord had been bringing me my groceries for several months. The taxi driver said that they had customers who hired them to bring their grocery order.

I've not driven in six months. Today I got the annual renewal for my car tags. A Smog recertification was needed. So I returned the form saying my car was inoperable. I then called the insurance company and cancelled my policy.
