I wear the button on a string around my neck 24/7. Once I push the button then I get a contact voice on the machine asking me if I need help. A couple of weeks ago the button got pushed about 3AM in my sleep and the Alert person asking me if I were okay and needing help. I pay for it each month; I have a three year contract. Since getting it have heard ads offering something akin to it for free. There are no gay groups here not even a Pflag.

I have Life Alert. When I fall again that will be the end. I'll call the rescue squad and have them take me to the ER. Then I'll insist on going to a home and have the county conservator take care of me.

Could be. I'm hooked! I don't drink coffee or tea but indulge in diet soda and water. That would help explain my long time memory problems.

I just checked the tracking of an order of a book that I got. Then I checked the tracking of the book I didn't get. It did not get to my town. Yet it said the book had arrived. In fact the order was routed through 5 different towns,

I get eight (?) prescription meds in the mail. 90 day supplies. I pay $0 for them. I only have Medicare Part D. I think I haven't met the donut hole yet. Two are coming but they have to get refill prescriptions from my doctor. I always had a co-pay at the pharmacy. I have one I have to pay $80 for. It's for diabetic toe pain. The rent box store couldn't find it; it should have arrived early October. So I reordered it. They gave me a 20% discount.

The county has a program where you can hire people to help. They are well screened.

I hate to bother my landlord too much. That's why it was a month since he was here but he said to call him anytime. No super; just the landlord.

I have a poor memory so I made this memory game but it hasn't helped. It takes me awhile at night to fall asleep. Plus I get up several times. So I connected something with the first day of each of the 12 months. Kept it simple. Like 1 June celebrates the birthday of the poet Dante. 1 October the anniversary of the death of Don Juan of Austria, natural son of the Emperor Charles V. He was the Victor at Lepanto. So in bed I try to list them in order. Sometimes I can list all but usually not. Sometimes I'll remember one but then seconds later I'll have forgotten it again. But I've had such a memory for years.

I have a rent mail box. I ordered several books. All but one arrived. There were different dates. The tracking said it arrived two weeks ago. It had been a month since my landlord brought me groceries and mail. He came by today. I called the rent box store. They said they did not have it. Advice?
