On "Green Acres" it was never known what state they were in. I remember one episode Hank Kimball the County Agent was eating lunch at some odd hour. He said that the authorities in Washington DC wanted all the agents to follow that time zone.

Thank-you for sharing that. I was unaware of that. I only knew of Indiana at one time but they changed it. I do know that Hawaii and Arizona do not keep DST. I think it interesting that all of China is only one time zone despite the country being so large. It's because the majority of the population live near the coast.

I hate DSL. I want regular time year round. I remember many years ago the US tried DST year round but it didn't last thankfully. Country school children are waiting for the bus in the doctor and drivers don't see them. I only have two clocks. When I got up this morning I changed the one in the bedroom. And before I go to bed I'll change the one on the radio in the living room.

Neither my mother nor my grandmother were obese. My mother became a diabetic a few years after I was born (in 1953). I don't know when my grandmother became a diabetic. She lived with us growing up and I remember them both always being diabetic. My grandmother had both legs amputated (below the knee) in two operations several years apart either side of 1960. She could not have a general anesthetic but only a local. According to my sister during one operation she was speaking to her mother who died in 1955 and to her sister who had died like 50 years earlier. My grandmother got artificial legs and with the use of a walker was able to get around. I became a diabetic around 2007.

Two guys were at a club. It was one's cousins who were drinking that. Then his boyfriend started criticizing them. Back in the car they got into a slap fight. One sued the other for medical costs.
