  1. To me the taste of raw walnuts is blah. Cooking is best. When I was a boy we had some black walnut trees. It was a chore to have to pick them off the ground. Interesting thing about black walnuts is they don't exist naturally; they have to be grafted.
  2. Microwave nuts? I had never considered that. Thanks!
  3. I watch online. I like to give some background that caused me to ask the question.
  4. In a thread in another forum I posted a link to the ST:TNG episode where on one planet there was euthanasia when a person turned 60. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Half_a_Life_(Star_Trek:_The_Next_Generation) And @Travis69 replied "Think of all the income lost to escorts/masseurs." Hence my question of what percentage of your clients are over 60.
  5. A basket? Thanks!
  6. I may get a tray for mine to make it easier to bring food from the kitchen.
  7. I have to bend forward a little to use it. All I had to do was take it out of the box and swing both arms out. They are locked in place. Very simple. No assembling. I wanted to bring a soft drink back from the kitchen so I put it in a plastic bag and clutched it as I held onto the walker. The walker has no wheels. I just raise it up and set it down a little further in front of me.
  8. A few minutes ago I took it out of the box and used it to walk into the kitchen. I take my insulin shot in the evening.
  9. Good-bye
  10. Yes. I stubbed my toe on the box.
  11. DST is bad! We need more daylight in the mornings! STANDARD TIME YEAR ROUND!
  12. I have two clocks also. One in the bedroom and a clock radio in the living room.
  13. I bought a clock one time but it was very complicated and I was not able to set it so I was going to take it back the next day. I don't know what I did but the alarm went off in the middle of the night even though the time was not set. I could not make it stop. So I put the clock in a paper sack and took a hammer and I beat the clock to death!!!

    Very nice! Thank-you! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Museum_(Prague)
  15. Thanks! Sounds good to me. I like when it gets dark early. I once worked at a mortuary as a nightman - 5PM to 8AM (9AM on the weekends). One job was to turn on the outside sign. I loved coming to work in the Winter and seeing that the sign was already on!
  16. I wonder if California were to go DST year round how that might affect broadcast television?
  17. I like to have a routine.

    Pineapple

It was on this day - 4 November - in 1493 (it was a Monday that year) that Christopher Columbus on his Second Voyage was introduced to the pineapple. It was on the island of Guadeloupe.

That Rosary tattoo looks creepy. There are only 8 Ave beads. There are usually 10.
  20. I prefer to have more sunshine in the morning. My bedroom lit up an hour earlier. I go to bed between 10PM and 10:30PM and get up between 8AM and 9AM. It will take me awhile to adjust to the time change. I stayed up an extra hour last night hoping that helps.
  21. I remember my mother testing her urine. She took a shot everyday like I do. My grandmother sometimes took a shot but other times a only a pill. Diabinese?

    My Meds

Last Fall I got what I called a "wound" but the doctor called an abrasion on the inside of my upper left leg. From December through February I saw the doctor a dozen times. Then once at the end of March. I was to go back in early May but fell in April. He tried medicated bandages but they fell off. He tried wrapping it but it persisted. I kept putting antibiotic cream on it continually. It finally healed up only a couple of months ago. Then I got something on both lower arms and my right lower leg. It wasn't bug bites. Comes and goes so I keep putting antibiotic cream on it. I know I shouldn't have but sometimes it itched so badly that I scratched my leg until it bled.
  23. Thank-you for sharing.I had never heard of them. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Castanea_pumila

    My Meds

You mentioned testosterone. Thanks! I have low t. In fact when I used to see my doctor I used to get a t shot.
  25. In the recent episode we got to see the husband. He is played by Mike Doyle. I best remember him from L&O:SVU. His character there was killed by the character played by Noel Fisher. Mike Doyle is gay in real life.
