I saw him about 2 weeks ago... there was another thread about him on here and that he was more into play than massage, which I actually liked the sound of!

He confirmed by text that it was an extra $50 for sensual massage and confirmed nude, MT, HE, so I splurged on a 90-minute session.

    I definitely wouldn't repeat.

    Sam

Did you end up paying him the agreed rate minus $20? I think some masseurs get a-hole-ish because they feel like it won't end up hurting their wallets.

  2. I usually never consider masseurs (or escorts) with blurry face pic, but this one seems to be my type: facial and body hair, mature and built. Anyone have any experience with him?

    Thanks

Can you post a link to his profile?

  3. I mean you're not wrong about adding extra people, though most of their locker facilities are generously appointed and offer a lot of space. Pre-pandemic they used to have 2-3 attendants on at all times, then that dwindled to one, and then there would be hours that went by without seeing any. Mask wearing, social distancing, and cleanliness are not ineffective measures, but the science is still out on sharing a steamroom or sauna with someone even while wearing a mask. Hopefully it doesn't create some new strain of superCOVID. "Burke-Williams Variant" sounds posh as fuck though. I personally will not be visiting any time soon.

Just to clarify, I agree that mask wearing, social distancing, and cleanliness are effective and important. I've said that in this forum repeatedly.

But, to be effective, it is important that masks remain dry. That's not possible in a steam room and unlikely in a hot sauna. So having people wear masks in steam rooms and saunas (and having extra staff enforce that requirement) will very likely not do much more than create the illusion of safety. In other words, we're talking about a marketing tactic no doubt intended to help make people feel more comfortable with the idea of booking services now.

If BW actually cared about safety, they would keep those amenities closed or limit their use to vaccinated people.

  4. Question for those that have been to Spa 27. If you’re a walk-in, do they pair you with a masseur at random or do they give you a choice? Just curious.

I believe there's one of these belts near the door, and you just grab the masseur you like from it:

  5. Burke Williams sent members a message about reopening all amenities, however mask wearing is required and they have committed to doubling the staffing in the lockerrooms to enforce mask wearing and ensure cleanliness.

So they're stuffing more people than usual into an enclosed space to enforce ineffective measures. Love it.

  6. And they make no exceptions to their policy and wish the US was just as strict. A good friend of mine has a lot of family In Australia and his mother died last month. fortunately his sisters and her grandson who is a doctor were with her. He found out she only had a few days left and was told he wouldn't be able to attend her funeral unless it was at least two weeks after he arrived. They bus you straight to a hotel for 14 days upon arrival.

It sucked he wasn't able to attend his mom's funeral but this is how they kept the death rate so low.

That, plus I'm sure a low percentage of Karens complaining about wearing masks because breathing in CO2 that gets trapped in there would kill them.

  7. This is an old thread, but I'll add my two cents. There's a difference between using someone else's photos and using old ones of yourself. Yesterday I saw, for the first time, a masseur who uses pictures at least 15 years old, and says in his ad that he's 16 years younger than he really is. I know his real age because he says it openly on his video and gives his birth date in his book. Having seen the video, I was prepared for this.

It didn't make any difference at all. He has a great personality, was generous with his body, and gave a GREAT massage. The "extras" were also A+.

Yes, the photos on his site and his taking 16 years off his age were deceptive, but not as bad as using a model's photos when you don't look anything like him -- or aren't him at all! A recent post (by Martin, July 2017) called the milder deception "puffery." That's about right. (Especially since my guy was a bit puffy, compared to the slim and trim photos of 16 -- or more -- years ago.)

I don't think there's any difference at all here. Appearance is an essential criteria of the kind of hiring decisions most people discuss here. In other words, we look at photos to learn a masseur's identity and looks. I know it, you know it, and he knows it. That's why he used photos that don't accurately show what he looks like (15-year-old photos in your case, which only got the identity criteria right but not the looks)...because he expects those photos to attract business that he wouldn't have otherwise earned. That is not puffery. That's called a scam, fraud.

His personality might be great, except for the scamming tendencies, but that still doesn't make what he did acceptable. That, of course, assumes that you're not willing to let yourself be scammed so brazenly when all you would have to do to avoid it is walk away.

What's interesting to me is that you went in there knowing you were being scammed. You were "prepared" for it. I'm not sure why one would do that, given how many excellent and honest masseurs there are out there. But to each his own.

I realize this might read as if I'm coming for you hard, but I'm not. This is isn't personal. My vendetta is against those who run scams in an industry where there are so many people working hard and honestly to try to make a living. So what I'm coming for is your rationalization of the fact that your masseur is running a scam.

  8. My father worked in academia for the last 30 years of his working life. Prior to that, much to the chagrin of his family, he was a Union organiser. My mother returned to work when I, the youngest, was in school full time. She retired about 25 years later as a commodities trader. My father received a low six figure lump sum in lieu of pension from his Union days, and monthly checks from TIAA-CREF, which survived him, and were then paid to my mother. My mother received a small pension from the first company she worked for (just about $600 a month), plus her 401K, which when she passed had just about a $55K RMD. Both received social security. They had a comfortable retirement, traveled to Europe every year for a few months visiting family, stayed out East every September, spent money fixing up/redecorating their homes, etc.. Unfortunately, they did not have long retirements. I encouraged them both, and especially my mother after my father passed, to spend the money and enjoy life. I like to think they did, but it does sadden me a bit when I think of what they didn’t get to do.

As for me, I have no pension from any company I’ve ever worked for. I have a healthy 401K, an IRA, plus my own investments and savings. Like I said in a previous post, I don’t care what’s left when I’m gathered to my forebears, as long as there’s enough to tip the gravediggers. My family knows not to expect anything as I fully intend to enjoy every minute I have on this earth - but whatever may be left is earmarked for my godchildren, a few friends if they survive me, and a few charities.

    ?‍♂️You recruiting? I'm a great friend!

  9. This is just one slice of the issue. This is just one county and only state law. Remember, rentboy got taken down by the feds.

In 99% of cases, run-of-the-mill prostitution (the picking up someone off the streets variety) is not a federal-law issue. So local decisions to stop prosecuting prostitution is all that's needed to keep ordinary sex workers from going to jail. The new policy is clearly going to benefit a lot of people, given that the DA is seeking the dismissal of >5,000 cases involving charges of prostitution or of loitering for the purpose of prostitution.
