  1. I understand why you are thinking about this. There are a lot of moving parts - some you can control (like your retirement date and when to start taking social security) and others you cannot...like the expected inflation and a potential war. Even the affluent appears to be scaling back, if you believe the numbers. I do expect a recession may be coming, but I won't be so bold as to predict when. You may find this article of interest: https://www.forbes.com/sites/robertberger/2020/08/02/the-bucket-strategy-is-broken-heres-a-better-way/?sh=68c0515d1b33 If holding more bonds or even cash makes you feel more comfortable and sleep better - do it. But opt for TIPS instead of vanilla bonds given your target time period and potential need to bridge the gap between retirement and taking social security. There are some really good fiduciary/fee only financial advisors that can help you craft a plan that works for you - personal finance is very personal and finding somebody to help you work through it can be very useful. I am not a registered investment advisor - by my approach has always been to lean quite heavily on stocks; they have a good track record during inflationary times. As long as you are willing to ride out the ups and downs.
  2. My portfolio suffers from a severe case of "the aggressives" too!
  3. Maybe the $400 includes the NDA! Lawyers are expensive!! "- NDA Ready" 😆

  5. I’ve had a few close calls… 😆
  6. I switched to Descovy and no longer have the stomach problems caused by Truvada. If affordability is a concern, check out https://heymistr.com/ They will apply for patient assistance from the manufacturer on your behalf and in almost all cases it helps a great deal with affordability (in most cases free). Doctors consultations and quarterly testing is included and free. That being said - I am not sure that Descovy is approved for non-daily Prep. If you like that approach, you should probably stick with Truvada unless your doctor recommends it.
  7. It is my understanding that most facilities of this nature have a social worker assigned to them. Make him/her your friend and they will be a source of great insight when it comes to gifts. Works for me. 😉
  8. I get what you are saying - you clearly have strong opinions on the matter. The idea of required counseling has a lot of merit. So does the idea that immaturity should be part of the equation. It does seem a bit disingenuous to me, for people who value freedom as much as we do here in the USA, to determine what somebody can or cannot do with their life. Land of the free, home of the brave needs to mean something, and yes, it cuts both ways - freedom in how to live and how to die. Will there be abuse? Surely - freedom for the wolves inevitably means death to the sheep.
  9. I still use my rollerblades often - have enjoyed inline skating for a long time. I suspect that, like rollerblading, it is important to learn how to fall correctly. Debbie Merrill taught me everything I know! And rollerblading pads are specifically designed to cover and protect the areas of the body that is most likely to hit the ground when you fall (knees, elbows, wrists). Helmets are clearly important too - not sure if I would prefer a rollerblading helmet or a biking helmet though...
  10. Is it May already??? 😆

Thanks - I found a few books on Amazon that are pretty recent editions too. Many are self published so I will consider the info with care, but it is a start.

Trevor Noah had a piece on the metaverse on the Daily Show last night. I keep hearing bits and pieces about it. Do you tech savvy fellas know of any resources (books, youtube channels or podcasts) available to help me learn about it? 🤓
  14. This topic (“tipping”) shows up every few years. It usually ends in back and forth disagreements between members that have strong feelings but generally end up being unhelpful. My takeaway has always been to do what works for you and help you achieve your objectives. I value my regulars - I choose to tip them because they meet or exceed my expectations. You do you. 🤷‍♂️
  15. The qualifications for both are quite onerous: Masseur: be of good moral character Escort: be of sterling moral character Judge them accordingly! 😉
  16. Dear MSG. Thanks for sharing. Have you considered a friend with benefits type of arrangment so you have somebody you can call a friend, go out to eat with or see a show and maybe fool around with? It may help you fill that emotional void you are feeling since the guy is sticking around and not disappearing like a one night stand. Maybe even a friend that will appreciate your intellect and share some of your interests? Being “in love” and “being loved” are two different things in my experience. Best of luck!
  17. His website says $260 for 90 minutes. It's not price gouging - it's the miracle of supply and demand!😋 https://healingforestmassage.com/services
  18. Yikes - I heard things arr even more painful over at the Shell station! 🤭
  19. I noticed him as well. But just FYI he isn’t under 25, which is what @Eddie Morales is looking for.
  20. If your insurance does not cover Descovy or you dont have insurance, heymistr will apply for a co pay coupon card from Gilead so it will still cost you nothing. Generic availablity or your insurance/lack of insurance should not impact the cost.
  21. I wonder…in the spirit of preserving her right to compete, if the next step to consider should be to create a 3rd category in sport to allow for the biological reality. Male, Female and Trans. It is such a tough nut to crack and feelings can get hurt, but if you want to be super practical… 🤫
  22. What is this "book" you refer to? 😋
  23. Search for Dan Russian in New York. https://archive.m4m-forum.org/cruise I met him once for a massage. Nice guy - did not stop at massage. Would repeat if I was in that particular mood and he was in town.
