  1. Young and dumb….just the way I like ‘em. I am sure he would be offended by my saying that. My point: like my momma used to say…If can’t say anything nice, keep your mouth shut. She also said that if you cant take the heat, you should stay out of the kitchen. If he doesnt want attention on his actions, he should stay off of TikTok and Twitter.
  2. You ask for an honest opinion - so I will share mine. Time wasters are a reality for anyone who is in a service business. Building a book of repeat clients is usually the best way to minimize the impact. Personally I frown on the concept of a deposit and don’t agree to it. Too many of the people I talk to got scammed out of their deposit, so for me it is a no go. Leaving a voicemail is…fine, I guess. Now, as for your problem with spam, i have to point out that you just posted the same question on 4 different threads…see the irony?
  3. When you look at the statistics of ownership (from Coinbase for example), Crypto ownership is high under the younger demographics (under 40) and minorities. They have been particularly hard hit by what CNBC calls the “Crypto Carnage”. https://www.cnbc.com/2022/06/14/cramer-tuesday-more-crypto-carnage-oilers-upgraded-oracle-wows.html I guess that means I have a slightly different take on “diversity in the industry” 🤷‍♂️
  4. I think you are on the wrong forum. Drag is a big part of gay history and an important part of our culture of “sticking it to the man”. No one said drag queens should be “worshipped”. If you are unwilling to appreciate drag, you will likely be happier on another forum.
  5. I am a fan. My waisteline can attest! 🤭
  6. I thought I was the only one who did that!! 😆
  7. I enjoyed the first episode; interesting cast of characters - will probably continue to watch the rest of the season. It will never be as good as the original UK version (obviously!) but it will do.
  8. GoodRx is certainly a good option - it is amazing how much difference there is in prices when you look at the various locations. A drug that costs $150 at CVS can be $50 at Walmart or Acme.
  9. I presented a fire side chat at the office last week about what it means to be ab ally in the office. My talking points were built around this article - it is a good read. https://www.themuse.com/amp/advice/what-is-an-ally-7-examples
  10. Ryan was in the movie “Lincoln Lawyer”. There is also a TV show on Netflix with the same name - no Ryan to binge on though.
  11. Pretty much describes every frat party and bankers party I have been too. Don’t send your kids to college and keep them out of the business world.
  12. I stopped by my local bank branch. They were only willing to take the £20 and £50 notes. They said the smaller denominations (5s and 10s) were already out if circulation. 🤷‍♂️
  13. Thank you for making me aware - I do have quite a bit left over from trips. 👍
  14. "The only time you will ever see me in drag is when I am getting paid. It is my job." - RuPaul.
  15. I am sorry to hear that you had to experience this behavior. People will say hurtful things to their closest family, things they won’t say to absolute strangers. That has always surprised me. My family hasn’t been this bad. I could claim that it is because I am so fabulous (of course I am!), but it is mainly because they believe I am rich and they hope to inherit when my wicked ways finally do me in. If only they knew I plan to spend it all before I go, on boys and booze!! 😆
  16. It is equally contentious in the USA! The answer you are looking for is “no”. 😉Pineapple does not belong on a pizza. Nor does peach or plum. But I am happy to sear pineapple, peach and plum on the grill as a desert during BBQ season (it really brings out the sweatness - really!) Stole that idea from Martha Stewart… 😁
  17. I have been in San Francisco since Friday. Have seen quite a number of homeless and signs of neglect, but have not felt unsafe at any time. Mainly using BART to get around - have seen more homeless/panhandling on NYC subway and platforms than here in San Fransisco. I don’t want to travel through SFO without TSA pre-check though - the lines appear to be very long, getting through security checks. Glad to be back in San Fran; I’ve missed this place - may get a touristy tshirt to celebrate!! 😊
  18. That 👆 is not helpful to a newbie investor. And this, my dear @keroscenefire is why you should avoid advisors and brokers (and your broke cousin with an expert opinion) - they expect to be paid even when they don’t provide value.
  19. It didnt work out for the Beardstown Ladies (in a bull market!), so my honest opinion is that it wont work out for you either. (But Walmart is a good company…their stores are always packed) You do you, but I have walked that road and cannot recommend. https://thehustle.co/the-midwestern-grandmas-who-became-stock-market-celebrities/amp/
  20. Partnerships can be both a blessing and a curse. Partners get married and then you are also married to their crazy spouses…and later ex-spouses. And their high maintenance kids, each with an opinion. No thanks! For a newbie with a little capital - Low cost, broad based index funds are the way to go, in my experience. Easy, tax efficient, liquid and flexible.
  21. That is fair. I also doubt a newbie investor will have $200k for a down payment on a $1mil building.

  23. “Waste not, want not!” Or maybe he thought you need more fiber in your diet? 😆
  24. I suspect, like most of the younger generation, he has student loans to pay off. 😉
  25. Play ball! I am always up for round two! 😉
