While I have lived in Boston over 30 years, I will never be a Bostonian...because I was not born and raised here. THAT is Boston culture. I do not have a Boston accent but I know one when I hear it. And, copycats NEVER fill the bill. It's a very difficult accent to copy, the accent is so embedded in attitude and culture that it's almost impossible to copy credibly. To the OP, you might have to fly here and even then, you'll need someone born & raised to get the true experience. Good luck!

As we approach the 3rd anniversary of Daddy's passing, I want to acknowledge the great work on behalf of a small team of volunteers who keep this community active and thriving! The days and weeks following daddy's death were fraught with uncertainty - and this community nearly perished. This community pulled together and found our way through - got access to the site code, migrated the site to new technology, and developed a new support structure. We even came up with a new name for our community! While every volunteers' contributions are valued, I wanted to especially acknowledge @RadioRob our tireless webmaster. He does his work with no fanfare, no drama and almost no downtime; and he seeks no recognition. @RadioRob we are grateful! ....CompanyOfMen RIP Daddy

In my first 2-3 years at this hobby, I hired probably 30 guys and rarely twice. I was always on to the next shiny object, and I had a lot of hot fucks. Then I met Dan (interestingly not thru this site or RM), who has been my semi-regular since. Dan is a submissive bottom who calls me Sir (TBH this is more his thing than mine, but I roll with it). He's probably 35 now, and in great shape (triathlete). Every time we meet we mix it up and he (or I) bring something different to the table (sometimes planned, sometimes a surprise). I met Dan about 1 year before COVID and have been seeing him roughly monthly. To someone's previous point, there is value in someone who knows your likes, and who you have (and continue to develop) chemistry with. And, that you get to know a little about each other over time (while maintaining boundaries). I have hired a few other guys along the way, but it's now a rare exception.

My most recent car I leased, my first lease. I bought a Hyundai Ioniq 5 SEL (electric) for a monthly payment of 383. What I liked about the process was I could enter all the info on their website and calculate my lease payment online. The mfgr was offering a very aggressive lease deals which saved me a ton of $. Since electric technology (and choices) are still evolving, I liked that in 3 years I can give the car back and there will be more options, and during the 3 years they "own" everything (service, maintenance etc.).

I'm seeing more guys in porn in chastity (caged / locked). As a dedicated top, I'm finding this hot. Is this becoming more of a "thing" or am I just discovering it? I watched a vid this morning where a caged guy came hands-free thru his chastity device, apparently the top was "hitting his spot". I think this fetish surrounds the top being in control of his sub, and the sub can only experience pleasure at his master's discretion. For me, the "hotness" is more about the fact that the bottom views their ass as the center of their pleasure universe, and their masters'. Jack

I recently heard an interview with Bette where she talked about her early career on tiktok. She referred to these as "social clubs".....I suspect the interview was on some mainstream outlet where she could not say clearly what kind of socialization was going on, but she did say these were all-men clubs and that the men were wearing only towels. The interview seemed to be from many years ago, being resurfaced for the tiktok audience

The undisputed best of all time, is Axel Hardy. Sadly he retired a few years ago. I had the pleasure of meeting Axel twice in Boston. Every second in his presence was fire, he made you feel like you were the center of his universe. His sexual energy was stupefying. His body was like the statue of of David. I could go on....

Is racism rampant in the American healthcare system?
+ JEC replied to marylander1940's topic in Men's Health
As someone who works in healthcare, our Healthcare system is designed by rich white STRAIGHT men, for rich white STRAIGHT men. We put the best hospitals ckinics and clinicians in affluent areas (we call it a "good payer mix", payers being insurance). We schedule services during normal working hours. Majority of information is in English, and staff are English speaking. We don't really attempt to understand peoples' cultures, norms, preferences, or unique factors that affect their health. Research dollars disproportionately go to solve problems of rich white STRAIGHT men. Visiting hours don't accommodate ppl who work odd hours, or multiple jobs. It's hard to even get a routine lab draw done outside of "normal working hours". I could go on and on. I'll offer you an example. I had a minor surgery recently where I stayed overnight in the hospital. I brought my usual daily meds with me including my PREP (Truvada). Well, the fact that I brought my own meds triggered a huge drama. A nurse manager was called, then a pharmacist was called to the room. They held the plastic ziplock bag up "what's this blue pill"?. They took the pills away for investigation. They came back 2 or 3 times to ask more questions. Meanwhile, they must have said the word Truvada (at full volume) what felt like 100 times....in my 10X10 room with a STRAIGHT roommate whose family was visiting. It sounded and felt like Truvada Truvada Truvada Truvada Truvada Truvada Truvada Truvada Truvada Truvada Truvada Truvada Truvada. All while recovering from anesthesia. No consideration about my privacy, or that being on that particular med might be sensitive information. THAT is what a healthcare system designed by rich white STRAIGHT men looks and acts like. -
Welcome to the Company of Men, and your new adventure! Wanted to reinforce the notion of unprotected sex and the education and precautions you will need before going down this road. If you do not have a gay or gay friendly doctor, see one even if it's not your PCP. Many major cities have a health clinic that specializes in the unique issues and needs of gay sex. These clinics are just like any other doctor's office, there is no stigma to going there. You may also seek these services via Telemedicine if you are not comfortable going in person or these services are not available where you live. There are a handful of vaccines you will want in addition to PREP, also be aware there are one or more STIs for which there is no prevention or cure (Herpes for one). I'm not intending to dissuade you from the path you are on, you are meant to be here. Just encouraging you to go down this path fully educated and protected. Have fun! Jack

I went to Rounds once in my 20's (mid 80s?), it was my first time to NYC as a young single man (and I was terrified LOL). I met a hot guy who was a dancer, complete with dancer legs and a dancer's ass. He took me back to his apartment, where I drilled his perky butt.....and stayed the night. I was way too naive then to know that Rounds was a hustler bar 🙄

SpendThrift Adult Sibling w/ self destructive behaviors
+ JEC replied to BeamerBikes's topic in Personal Finance & Investing
The way you describe your siblings, they seem to have some level of mental illness (addictions, etc.). Does not change your course of action, but this is more complex than someone just making bad choices and acting like a teenager. I lost my brother 2 years ago to a lifelong battle with alcoholism, and I had similar struggles over the years with him (not about money, there was none....just about his behavior and how that impacted his life and the family). Still, with addiction there is literally nothing you can do until the person is willing and able to help themselves. My father too had some sort of difficulty with money. He had a successful career and a generous retirement, but he never had any money - ran up credit cards, payday loans, and asked me for money a few times. I think he had a gambling addiction, the closest I ever got to an admission was that he played the lottery. The last time he asked me for money I said no but offered to help in other ways (like set up a budget, hire a financial advisor, etc). I did this after drawing up a "contract with myself" of what my baseline principles were for helping, and what I was and was not willing to do. For example, I would not allow my parents to be homeless or hungry. I also would not put my own money/retirement at risk. I would not enable my father's destructive behavior. I did buy my dad a used car (10k) and put it in my name so he could not borrow against it to ensure he had transportation. I also helped twice with refinancing of their mortgage to provide some relief with monthly expenses (just helped with the paperwork, dad was in his 80's by then). I hope the mental illness angle allows you to come at the situation with some compassion, while not sacrificing your principles. Consider writing up that "contract with yourself" - it will provide you clarity as you face decisions over time. If you have some flexibility with how the trust is administered, you may be able to set up structures which pay for basic needs and nothing more - ensuring he will never be homeless or hungry, while protecting your assets. Good luck, this is a difficult situation and I hope you find a pathway to peace. -
If you were paying 300 10 years ago, cost of living adjustments alone would get you to $400 over 10 years, that doesn't include the wage and cost inflation and we have experienced due to COVID (I used an average COLI of 2.5%):

Given uncertainty of weather, I wonder if it makes sense to wait until @ 1 week before and then make your travel plans? I also live in the NE - and weather forecasts here are not that reliable at t+7 days, but in other areas of the country should be. Looks like it will travel directly over Niagara Falls.....
