I've done it again! After a game-tying bases loaded walk in the 1st, Matt 'Does A Plumber Make More Than A' Carpenter got his 6th hit - and 5th homer - in the 2nd. 8-1 Yanks after 2. (Later...) I have to start billing the Yanks. ANOTHER one for Matt 'Does A Plumber Make More Than A' Carpenter, then an RBI double. In his 1st start in the field he is 3-4 with a walk, a double, 2 homers, 3 R, 7 RBI. Yanks clinging to a 17-4 lead after 7.

I think we can put the 'they don't score for him' narrative to bed. They've given him run support in his last few starts. Tonight, through 5 innings, they have one single, no walks, and 6 solo homers.

Advice for a newbie investor?

Find a good, high-quality mattress that has room inside it to hide your money. Or invest in the market right now, then sit in a corner, rocking back and forth while biting your nails as you watch reports on the daily market bloodbath. -
Steve Sax says his 33-year-old son, who had always dreamed of being a pilot, was among the five U.S. Marines killed during a training flight crash earlier this week in the California desert. Capt. John J. Sax was among the aircrew of an Osprey tiltrotor aircraft that went down during training in a remote area in Imperial County, about 115 miles east of San Diego and about 50 miles from Yuma, Arizona.

THE ORVILLE began its new season today on Hulu

I thought so, though it never became anything especially wonderful. MacFarlane says they originally tried too hard to straddle the serious/comic line. Of course, he wouldn't have to try too hard to straddle me. -
Did you pick the wrong door on Let's Make A Deal?

And for Captain Olivia Benson, as well. Her hubby is the Persil spokesman. He was born in New York City to German parents but moved to Germany when he was two months old. He lived in Germany until he was 10 and did not learn English until he returned to the United States.

I wonder what Ryan Idol is doing right now
samhexum replied to + friendofsheila's topic in The Lounge
kicks? the male bonding? the hell of it? he loves the color orange and couldn't find a jumpsuit in just the right shade? he wants you to break him out so the two of you can go viral as America's latest sweethearts? -
That's easy... take the number of forum contributors, subtract 1 for @FreshFluff (or 2 if you count @quoththeraven) and that will give you the amount of members here. N'est pas? Because @JoeMendoza is bored.

Scolaro's butt is (how do I put this?) uplifting. Who gave Johnson a wedgie? (And how did that make his johnson feel?)

Admit it, you really mean 'I wonder WHO Ryan Idol is doing right now'. -
Edibles usually take 2 hours to hit me and even then don't last all that long. The difference in price per high is enormous. Though some weed stores have opened in NYC, it's still technically illegal for them to sell, and I don't know any that are near me. With my dealer in the hospital, she didn't have a large supply on hand. Her best friend is running 'the business' for right now and I was able to get a few yesterday, but they won't last long. And I have such a high tolerance for THC that edibles sometimes don't even work for me.

I send my best friend magazine subscriptions whenever I find free offers. I never use real names. Kay O'Pectate has gotten a few, and some samples, as well. She has the world's loudest cat who always tries to give us his opinion on whatever we're discussing when we're on the phone. So the last few subscriptions were addressed to 'Woman with an obnoxiously loud cat.' Her daughter got a kick out of Claire Voyant. Virginia Hamm & Sandy Aygo are two other favorites, as well as Hedda Lettuce c/o Caesar Salad. Then there are the 2 Crystals: DeKanter and Shandaleer. Her mail carrier must think she's running a boarding house for drag queens.

And we thank you. Can we just call you a klutz? Well, to be fair, what's a few more brain-dead Californians?

“Jeopardy!” fans on Long Island were shocked to see an incorrect Nassau County village’s name listed in a question during last Friday’s episode, sparking outrage from a local legislator, Long Island Press reported. The question read: “Type of institution that has a ‘row’ in Garden City on Long Island, including one about firefighting and a children’s one,” prompting the undisputed answer of “museum.” But the referred-to row — consisting of the Long Island Children’s Museum, Cradle of Aviation Museum and Nassau County Firefighters Museum and Education Center — is actually located a smidgen east of Garden City in the hamlet Uniondale. And Nassau County legislator Siela Bynoe of nearby Uniondale and surrounding areas is making sure that the show — along with its viewers — won’t forget it. She penned a letter to “Jeopardy!” executive producer Michael Davies explaining the show’s miss — one which listed a ritzy suburb in lieu of the actual working-class nabe, according to LI Press. The borders between Uniondale, Garden City and neighboring Hempstead can be confusing even to locals because of their zig-zagging nature — especially near Museum Row, one located on the former runways of Mitchel Air Force Base. This wasn’t the first time a Uniondale staple made its way onto “Jeopardy!” — nor was it the first time the neighborhood suffered at the hands of an on-air gaffe. The New York Islanders, who played over four decades at the nearby Nassau “Fort Neverlose” Coliseum, were the correct response to an $800 question under the category of “hockey” several years ago. When the late host Alex Trebek gave the clue “Bryan Trottier sparked this team to 4 Stanley Cup Championships from 1980 through 1983,” current host and former contestant Ken Jennings erroneously responded with the New York Rangers. I went to some boring thing several years back with my sister & her family at the aviation museum, and it was so wonderful that I don't have the slightest recollection of what it was.

You probably don't know this, but 15+ years before you were born, there was a hit song about this exact situation.
