What has been the experience of folks on this forum with Atlantis cruises?
My first and only experience from October 2009 was not great. I was not treated well on the cruise by others. It all started from the welcome reception and just got worse.  I was body shamed (5’10” 36 inch waist) (I would have been fine on a normal cruise) (it was a tough year and I just wanted to relax). People wouldn’t even sit with me for dinner or socialize.  I ended up eating by myself in the cafeteria. I also had two different cliques openly make fun of me whenever they saw me. I finally had to confront them to stop and it went up to to the Ships officers who basically told them to knock it off.  They also advised me to try and have fun on my own. Basically, what I learned was that it is only really for the lean six pack abs muscle set. All others should stay away. I will never go on another gay cruise. Ever!!

Bought a case of some Kirkland hard seltzer at Costco yesterday. A friend turned me on to now-trendy hard seltzer just a few weeks ago and I regret missing out on the craze. Low sugar and carbs, manageable calories, very refreshing in the summer, and just enough of a buzz, but not too much!

perhaps this point has been raised in the many posts here, and i've just not the time/patience to sort through it all ... Guy's situation should serve as a lesson for us all that simple planning steps are essential ... everyone should have a Will; everyone should have a Living Will; everyone should have readily accessible documents with important contacts ... You do not have to spend a fortune on a will or a living will or a medical power of attorney or a durable power of attorney ... there are simple , legal documents available online for download with language specific to every state ... get them, fill them out, have them notarized ... i wish him nothing but good, and i know his health has been a continuing struggle in recent years ... but we all need to take steps to protect ourselves .. not just as we age, but at any age

Everyone who has posted has been supportive of Daddy and, I think, sought to be constructive in a difficult situation. The medical news has been depressing, but not entirely shocking. Daddy's he
alth has been challenging for him. If positive thoughts, prayers and wishes matter, he has them from so many of us. It's also a warning to all of us that we need to plan for those situations when we cannot speak or act for ourselves in the moment. A lot more of us (gay men) end up being legally untethered to familial decision makers, unmarried and without offspring. It's all the more important for us to put in place decisionmakers and directives.

There is an app for that! Snug Safety on the Apple App store and Google Play (see snugsafe.com). The app provides a free daily check in service for people living alone. The app is simple and easy to understand, no matter how comfortable (or uncomfortable) one may be with new technology.
 
Once an account is set up and you add an emergency contact email address and daily check in deadline. The app will remind the user before the chosen time every day, asking you to visit the app and to “check in”. All you have to do is push the big green button. Orville I'm one of those over 70+ (actually 80) that you mention and I have not intention of letting covid hinder my hiring. I have already had my first vaccination and am scheduled for my second on the 26th of this month. I've hired once during this fucking pandemic already and am scheduled with two other guys in the near future. If I get covid and die because of my hiring SO BE IT! I developed callouses on my hand when I was a teenager I'll be damned if I'm going to do it again at my age. If I die, at least, I won't die horny and frustrated and at 80 I've already had, one hell of, a great life.

You only have one chance to make a first impression. If a provider screws up scheduling that badly, I would not be inclined to waste my time and money any further. The world is full of more responsible people

i dont believe this for a moment. if this were true, then he would have replied to your texts and said something like "oh my god... it is for tonight? i am so sorry. i planned this in my schedule for tomorrow night. i am busy tonight" not a ghosting until after the fact then try to come up with a feable excuse. just like my escort that blew off our restaurant meeting and then 2 days after the fact said "oh i forgot" while i text him the day before and the day of the dinner. yeah right.

Well since the Corona virus has the World by the balls, my job is finally very open to me working in a remote location. Since this is beginning to look like it will be around for a while, I would like to continue to work my job at other remote locations other than my home. I did some digging around on line but found myself competing with travelers looking for vacation lodging. So does anyone know of a service (website) I could use that would give me direction for options to set up shop at any stateside location for weeks at a time?

Based on COVID numbers spiking, I don't see any DJ doing well for the foreseeable future.
