Being a sex worker I feel like I get pushed to go on PrEP weekly by internet ads or a doctor derailing our completely unrelated session into trying to propose I start. I don't tolerate PrEP well, and I prefer not to need it. I have found that although playing safe limits my clientelle it provides me with clients I get along with better. Also, having lots of different interactions with different bodies, there are so many things you can pick up and pass on - having worked as a sexual health counselor for 8 years - for me sexual health does not start and end at HIV. Antibiotic resistant gonnorrhea, or really any type of gonnorrhea is also something I would rather not spend time dealing with or telling sexual partners I may have infected them. So I use condoms with all but a main partner and very, very occasionally for porn.

To the OP I would suggest telling escorts outright you prefer to use condoms before sex. Body language communication is not very clear during the hot and heavy moments, setting up an expectation will enable you to relax and even tease each other with the idea of it without you having to have the shitty feelings after. I think if you don't feel comfortable with bareback sex then why not listen to and respect that, just because the cultural is changing doesn't mean you have to drop your own boundaries.

Perhaps my most emotionally challenging appointment ever was with a client who had terminal brain cancer. His best friend (who was previously his partner), hired me to spend an hour with him in hospice care. He was within weeks of passing, and his friend just wanted him to have one last opportunity at intimacy. We didn't do much, mostly just laid naked and cuddled. He was in and out of awareness due to extreme cognitive diconence.

I left with mixed feelings, hoping that the memory and experience would linger, but also knowing that he will likely forget about it quickly. Either way, I celebrate that I got to share the time with him. His friend emailed me about a month later informing me of his passing and thanking me again for being there for him. I still tear up thinking about it, as I am right now, as I type this.

I really like Durex Real Feeling. They're more expensive and their use-by date is a lot shorter than other condoms but they feel really nice, both for the top and bottom. They feel softer and smoother and seem to have much less friction.

Ah yes... escorts - people having a large number of partners - should not do everything they can to protect themselves so that you can enjoy yourself a little more... okayyyyy, that must be really tough on you

I really appreciated how the parents were played in the movie, I think they are some of the most emotionally complex supporting characters I've seen.

I'm glad you mentioned We the Animals and Moonlight.
How those gay kids were played really stuck with me, how worthy of love they are.

Chiron's face really stayed with me. Looking forward to more from Ashton Sanders.
Even though Ashton Sanders was 20 years old when filmed, I'm editing his picture out to avoid concerns about the no minor pictures rule. Also same for the father / son picture from We the Animals. That one is under the age limit even though it's an innocent pic of a haircut.

Loved how Paps looked at his little Jonah when giving him the haircut. Despite his faults, the loud, macho dad loved his sweet little kid

    Beautiful Thing (1996)
"Shy Jamie (Glen Berry) and athletic Ste (Scott Neal) are teen boys who live near each other in the London projects. Both boys think they could be gay, and finally explore their feelings when Ste is allowed to stay over at Jamie's place after an incident with his abusive father. There, the boys grow close and open themselves up to the idea of homosexuality, while Jamie's caring mother, Sandra (Linda Henry), and quirky teen neighbor, Leah (Tameka Empson), offer much needed emotional support."

    Edge of Seventeen (1998)
"Set in 1984 in Sandusky, Ohio, it follows the coming-out of a naive 17-year-old at exactly the moment when gender-bending pop stars like Boy George and the Annie Lennox of the Eurythmics were flaunting androgynous images. As the youth, played with a heartbreaking sweetness by Chris Stafford, goes through his first rites of gay passage he emerges as a poignant gay everyman."

You are not wrong! Watched Love, Simon this weekend. Coming of age as GLBTQ is still hard in this day and age, so I feel like I should support these films. My favorites are Beautiful Thing (90s) and Latter Days (2000s). Both have a real emotional connection that I can relate to. Touch on family, friends, religion, denial, fear, courage and acceptance. Shelter and Get Real are also worthy mentions.

You don't feel like switching streams mid moment?

The reason many of my clips are 5 minutes or less is because most are shot either by me or by the person fucking me and more than 5 minutes is a long time to multitask like that. For more professional clips, the cost of making them isn't really worth how much you end up getting paid - OnlyFans tends to be more of a quantity over quality game. I'm doing some shoots this coming week and I'm planning to get a videographer. I'll probably put all of the content up on OnlyFans but also put it on a clip site as well.

I've been talking to a bunch of people and it sounds like blockchain websites are the wave of the future. I'm not tech savvy to really understand 100% what is going on there but its using the same kind of decentralized system as Bitcoin thereby avoiding the part around being sourced as criminally liable. Most of what I have heard of is aimed towards cis and or trans women but hopefully there will be some sites that advertise men as well.

In the meantime there is also switter.at an alternative to twitter as we will began to see adult content taken off social media platforms. I also got an VPN and an encrypted email at protonmail and I encourage everyone else to do the same.

Cyd_StVincent got a reaction from RingPS in Escorts, what defines a "good" client?
All that has already been said definitely. Also a great client is someone who shows me their investment in our relationship by being friendly and affirming - a simple 'I'm so happy you are here' at the beginning of a session will really set us in the right direction. By being dependable as a regular and letting me know when I can expect to see them again, or letting me know if our regular schedule has changed whats up. By offering me a glass of water or a shower - which shows that they are considering me and my needs. Also clients who don't take increasing intimacy as an opportunity to undercut or barter with me, realizing that while we like each other more and more my bank account still needs the same amount of money in it.

Cyd_StVincent got a reaction from FTM Zachary Prince in FTM escort client screening - what kind of info should I be getting before finishing a booking?
Sorry I just saw this. Zachary is right, if you want to advertise towards a gay market you should expect that screening is going to be a request met with confusion and rejection by most.

Around the concept of that being because its not needed, I would say that's pretty complex. Male sex workers are DEFINITELY less targeted by law enforcement which is one of the primary reasons that screening exists - to weed out stings. As a trans male sex worker I would say that I feel somewhat more safe than when I worked as a cis woman with my clients, but I would say that has more to do with my growing confidence in negotiating my boundaries than anything else. Compared to when I worked as a woman I get more clients attempting to have bareback or anal sex with me without obtaining consent - but the overall power dynamic feels a bit more equal and I get less "scary" clients, more just pushy or shady ones - and those are of course definitely in the minority overall.

Its such a shame because that advertising platform would really be so helpful. There are so many new guys coming up but getting lost amongst the fray in rentmen. My client last night, who has been a hirer for a long time, didn't even know you could do a keyword search.

I've heard such great things about the brothel system in Australia - can you imagine a house of trans people working together? Sounds like a dream!

I totally wish you could do that, I'd be one of your boys! A long long time ago I worked as a stripper (in a different life) and always enjoyed the atmosphere of working with others. That is the one thing about escorting, it can be lonely - I imagine thats why many of us spend so much time on here. I wish I could work at a brothel or with an agency.

If that is gross income, after taxes, one can afford to live in Manhattan under these general conditions: you will need a roommate (or 2), or you'll live in a studio in a relatively undesirable location. You'll need to budget and would benefit from making some thrifty choices like cooking at home vs eating out, subway/bus vs taxi. You won't be going on any extravagant vacations or saving tons of money, but you can survive.

@JamieDelRey - first, welcome! i hope you'll enjoy the forum. so you know where i'm coming from, i live in nyc. i've lived here for 12+ years and have been escorting for about 3 years. i would take what @hypothetically said seriously. i admire your gumption, but attempting to move to nyc and start escorting is taking on a lot. moving to nyc is difficult - it's fast and expensive and even if you think you're ready for life here, it's still a shock and it takes a year or so to really feel like you've got the hang of things. you'll get lost, food will cost way more than you think. you'll feel lonely, it's loud and there are people everywhere. then, there's starting an escorting business - especially if you want that to be your sole source of income. there are more than 500+ guys here - it takes work, travel, and time to build up a reputation, which is how you keep your business going.

i do think it's worth doing some exploring, though. first, i would recommend participating in this forum. it's a great group of people and will help you find answers to questions, and let us get to know who you are. if you don't have an ad, i would suggest making one and linking to it in your signature, like you'll see i did below. then, i would make a trip to nyc - let us know about it in the "escort travel" section, tweet it out, put it on your ad/site/blog/whatever - then come here and see how it all works out.

i would love you to succeed and be here one day. i just don't want you to bite of more than you can chew and end up thinking that you failed when you're struggling or can't make rent or don't have clientele. moving to nyc is hard as fuck, but soooo worth it, and totally doable. it's not personal, it's just challenging. same with escorting. if you take your time, work consistently, and keep going, you can totally do it.
