Wedding rings don't set off metal detectors.  I've seen tons of people go through airports with those.  Some would refuse to take them off, some can't get them off after hmhmhmhm years...

Fear of theft is possible, but if that's the motive, I bet she'd wear a fake duplicate.  The real one stays in a safe deposit box, the cubic zirconia lookalike goes everywhere (whether it's Cancun or just Jamba Juice...), no one asks "OMG why is her ring missing!", and the celeb never has to reveal that they sometimes travel without it. 

According to HIS spokespeople there is no trouble in paradise.  He couldn't go on the trip and he was ringless because he's in the middle of filming a movie.

Another thought, @Luv2play:

Davis passed away in France, but she's buried in Los Angeles.  Which means her body had to be brought back to the U.S., and her family would have needed help from the U.S. Embassy to do that. They would have had to contact the Embassy and bring in a French death certificate and her passport in order to get something called a "Consular Report of Death Abroad".  And some official in the Embassy would have done the paperwork to cancel her passport, record the death, and issue the report.

Now imagine that you're the Embassy official, this passport comes to your desk, and you have to be the one to stamp "Cancelled - American Embassy Paris, France", "Deceased" and handwrite in the date and place of death.  And you're sitting there looking at the passport of a national legend.  That's gotta be a surreal experience.

What we see in that photo is the actual passport photo.  In the 80s, pictures were glued into the passport and then an embossing device was used to crimp the photo onto the page -- like the old stamps that a notary public used that actually punch holes into a page.  The blue and red embossment running vertically up the picture says "PHOTO ATTACHED / DEPARTMENT OF STATE / NEW YORK" -- and it's on both the page and the picture.  So that's the original, and it's from the old Rockefeller Center passport office.

Now, whether Ms. Davis occasionally slid a younger glamour shot into the passport to impress border police, well, only a lady would know, and I would never tell.  🙂

The pic in the Guess parka with black nail polish (it's about the 17th one in) is drop dead hot.  There was another thread talking about nail polish, opinions pro and con (of course), but I gotta say -- this is an example where the nail polish goes with the look and makes a guy look even sexier. It just works. (IMHO)

Fair points.  

I was possibly too focused on one facet: new entrants may feel that content creation gives them more choice/control over whom they work with, and that might initially seem more attractive. 

Benjamin's point about a fickle audience is good, and relevant to every form of social media: you have to feed the content monster every bloody day, and even taking a short break can cost you your audience.  At the start, however, some may not realize just how high that mountain is to climb.

There has been another thread on this topic, but bottom line: OnlyFans et. al. are a real challenge for the escort business.  Creators can hook up with a much smaller circle of similar hot guys and monetize the product for way more revenue.

Actually like the format of the new version and have gotten used to it.  The problem is that there are a couple of annoying bugs:

- Photo slider/zoom doesn't always work smoothly, pictures go blank.
- If you click a link from here, sometimes it goes to the generic home page, not the provider's page.
- The provider data sidebar is more compact in the old version; the new version scrolls the data in part of the screen while the pics stay static.  You have to do more scrolling to see the full profile.
- It'll work fine one day, then be weird the next.  Unpredictable functionality.

- Major concern: I've been looking at "New Guys" on the old site and "Search: New Guys" on the new site.  The old site presents a more frequently changing roster, the new site hasn't changed much in a week.  I get the sense that the old site is just putting people up by most recent join date, and the new site is filtering new signups by some additional factor.  They just don't change as often.  It feels like there are no new signups, but I can't help but wonder if they're gating or cherry picking them.

IMHO.  Just what I have experienced, YMMV.
