Or, they just want to block you! It’s no big deal. I think Grindr users are allowed 10 blocks a day....someone correct me if I’m wrong? So blocking to clear up your array of users wouldn’t be all that useful.

I block when someone is rude/gross/mean, that’s obvious. I also block if I’ve had a complete and finished convo with someone, but it’s clear they aren’t interested in me...that’s for my own sake of not remembering the outcome and trying again, lol!

Nah. I live in nyc and rarely get blocked. It happens if I’ve argued with someone or pissed them off or I’m not their type and they’re not into me. Otherwise doesn’t really happen. But as others have said why are you sweating it? We can’t all be for everybody so just chat with the guys who don’t block you. If you’re getting blocked often you’re doing something to annoy or piss ppl off.

No one said it was okay, just that it's not unexpected. It sounds like they liked the fantasy, got their rocks off, and then blocked you before they had to commit. Happens all the time, especially when money starts getting involved. Grindr has a shitty reputation for a reason, and getting upset over three dicks in a sea of assholes is pointless ¯\_(ツ)\_/¯

"Seeking Arrangements" is a sugar daddy site.
Combination of sugar babies looking for: pay-4-play / long term relationships / or clueless college students thinking you're their parents and willing to send them money for no particular reason.

I would find it awkward to ask specifically "will you be able.....?"

But Id probably try making it about me, as in "I particularly enjoy......"

At least that way, its a bit less of a challenge regarding what he CAN do

Amazing the life circumstances when I apply the stuff I scoffed and yawned at during the dozens of management seminars I was forced to attend..... I'd like to send an anonymous text to everyone sitting in a seminar on communucations this week...."hey, dont laugh. I use these techniques when negotiating with hookers."

I think this is the key differential. This question seems sort of like the guy who asked about a meet-and-greet before the actual "appointment;" I don't think there's anything wrong with spending some time together off the clock, but going into your appointment expecting a bonus would majorly turn me off a client.

I think sometimes it can be hard to find that sweet spot between the cold, business aspect of what we do and genuine human connection. My motto has always been "ask, because the worst thing that can happen is they say no."

That being said, when you say "long term arrangements," what do you mean? If you're talking about regulars, we've all got 'em. My favorite clients are my regulars, since we know what each other likes and what to expect.

I have had offers for a full-time gig, basically living with/nearby a client over an extended period of time. It's certainly an enticing fantasy, but, like someone else said, fresh meat is always just around the corner...

It seems like rather cheap espionage. We are currently investigating the president for being a Russian stooge. Do you really think these countries don't spy on us and hold information in their back pocket? We do the same too no doubt.
It's not like China has a stellar record of human rights and privacy protections where it would be totally out of the realm of reasonableness to think they might want a backdoor into US communications.

SOME COMMENTS FOR YOU IN ALL CAPS
Statement 1: Having sex with many, many older men is not illegal, as long as I am 18 and regardless of their age. IF THOSE GUYS ARE PAYING YOU FOR SEX IT’S PROSTITUTION SO IT’S ILLEGAL IN MOST STATES.

Statement 2: I am protected by the first amendment to talk about each encounter as long as I don't lie. The number of "outings" I am allowed to make is not restricted by law. YES YOU CAN TALK ABOUT IT. YOUR REASONING ISN’T ENTIRELY CORRECT, BUT I’M NOT GOING TO GET INTO WHEN AND WHY THE FIRST AMENDMENT DOES OR DOESN’T APPLY.

Statement 3: Each of these men is legally allowed to buy my silence individually, if and only if they want to. No extortion, they don't have to buy my silence. But if they don't buy my silence, I am allowed to speak to anyone who will listen about it. THEY CAN MAKE A CONTRACT WITH YOU AND PAY YOU $130,000 OR WHATEVER. IF YOU WEREN’T PAID FOR SEX (AS IN THE CASE OF TRUMP AND STORMY) THE CONTRACT IS ENFORCEABLE. BUT IF YOU’RE GETTING PAID, IT’S PROSTITUTION AND THE CONTRACT WOULD LIKELY BE UNEFORCEABLE. THE LAW/PUBLIC POLICY DOESN’T ALLOW A PERSON COMMITTING A CRIME TO ENTER INTO SUCH A CONTRACT AND BE ABLE TO ENFORCE IT. NO DIFFERENT THAN IF YOUR CLIENT COMMITTED A MURDER AND WANTED YOU TO KEEP QUIET. HE CAN PAY YOU A MILLION DOLLARS AND THE COURT WOULD STILL SAY IT’S UNENFORECABLE.

Now, please assume we are dealing with a rational and logical, highly competent judge that just tries to apply the law to the facts brought to him by the police. All the police brings is that
    A) I had sex many, many times, and each time I received some money. PRETTY GOOD EVIDENCE OF PROSTITUTION
    B) All my clients (who are rational beings and not stupid) explain that they paid me to keep quiet, not to have sex. IF YOU’RE GETTING PAID EACH TIME I BET THE JURY WILL AGREE THAT YOU’RE A PROSTITUTE.

The prosecutor is accusing me of both extortion and prostitution, in case one fails, then he hope to get me for the other one. THE EXTORTION ISSUE IS BOGUS IF YOU’RE ROUTINELY ACCEPTING MONEY FROM THOSE YOU HAVE SEX WITH. IT’S MONEY FOR SEX.

Question 1: What if it is not the older guy that brings up the "buying my silence" part, but it was me instead, after the sex. Is that extortion in any/all US jurisdictions?
Question 2: What if I bring up the hush agreement before the sex? Does that change anything? NOT IN YOUR CASE BECAUSE YOU ROUNTIELY CHARGE FOR YOUR SERVICES. ON THE OTHER HAND, MR. TRUMP’S WOMEN (AS FAR AS WE KNOW) WEREN’T CHARGING. THEY WERE HAVING SEX WITH A POWERFUL MAN WHO CAN MAKE THEM SIGN A CONFIDENTIALITY AGREEMENT TO KEEP THEM FROM DAMAGING HIS INTERESTS. NOTHING WRONG WITH THAT – EXCEPT WHERE THERE MAY BE A POTENTIAL VIOLATION OF CAMPAIGN FINANCING LAWS, BUT TIME WILL TELL ON THAT POINT. I feel it shouldn't, because bringing it up afterwards is more dishonest than bringing it up beforehand. Beforehand means at least the older guy can back out.

Question 4: Would a rational and logical judge accept the claim from the prosecutor that all these people were "thinking" of doing prostitution, even though we all claim the opposite, we verbally agreed on the payment for the hush agreement only, and there was no witness to prove that we said anything of the contrary? Basically, what is the criteria in criminal court for knowing what someone was thinking when there are 2 possibilities? Do the police need to provide material evidence, or it is ok for the judge to claim to be a mind reader?
I am not from the US, and I don't claim to know the law, but I do claim to be able to reason. AGAIN, IMMAGINE YOU’RE ON A JURY AND THE EVIDENCE IS THAT THIS YOUNG GUY FUCKS OLDER MEN AND GETS MONEY AFTERWARD OR BEFOREHAND. THE YOUNG GUY CAN COME UP WITH ALL SORTS OF THEORIES, BUT JURIES OFTEN LOOK AT FACTS AND APPLY LOGIC. MY BET IS THAT THEY’D SAY “NICE TRY WITH TH BOGUS ARGUMENTS, BUT WE KNOW WHAT WAS GOING ON -- GUILTY AS CHARGED.”

Okay, I've been lurking on this forum for a bit, but this is the dumbest fucking post I've ever seen and I refuse to stay quiet about it.

Short version: Let people have sex the way they want to, and they'll let you have sex the way you want to. No need to shame anyone for what they do in bed in private.

Long version: Fuck all the way off.

You say you've been barebacking for thirty years, so you must remember when HIV was literally named Gay-Related Immune Deficiency? You've been around to see 35 million people killed by HIV since its discovery? You attended a new funeral every week in the 80s, because all your friends were dying? You've seen gonorrhea becoming borderline-untreatable? You've seen STD rates in America soar to the highest they've ever been?

We are where we are today because of tremendous advancements in technology and medicine. We have antibiotics, we have antiretroviral therapy, we have so much more knowledge on prevention. We are in a much better place than we were thirty years ago, but millions of people died and suffered along the way to get us here. To ignore all of this and say "I was right, you're all a bunch of pussies" shows that you don't have a goddamn clue what you're talking about.

Whatever you do in your bedroom in private is none of my business. But don't you for a fucking second tell me I am less than you because I choose to protect myself. Your right to get your rocks off ends exactly where my health begins.

PrEP and condoms both provide a degree of protection against HIV, and condoms provide a level of protection against other STIs. None of them is absolute. From my perspective, people need to recognise the various levels of protection that are provided, and not condemn people for making a judgment as to what level of protection they are comfortable with.

Physical therapy has improved by leaps and bounds fairly recently. I would highly recommend going to one who got their training in the last few years versus an older one. And Physical therapy really needs to be one-on-one, not at one of those places where they are seeing four other patients in the same hour slot as you and just sort of "overseeing" as opposed to treating you.

As a proud brother of a national organization, it's painful to read how you were treated by those in Greek organizations. That was fortunately not my or my children's experiences. It sounds like they did themselves no favors there in the wider community, either. I've known others who fared no better than you on different campuses and I believe we all pay a heavy price in good will for that no matter from where we hail. It should be a wake up call to all who wear the letters to do better, be more accepting, and be way less douchey!

My experience has shown that there is a massive difference between attitudes and positioning campus-to-campus. For instance, the pressure to be Greek and assimilate is so much stronger at places like Ole Miss and Univ. of Alabama. There, if you aren't a member of one, you are derided, shunned, and even ostracized. Auburn and Miss. State, conversely, are heavily independent campuses and very casual in their attitudes. While they do have their dramas, the two worlds co-exist much better.

What happened at Penn State is systematic to their culture and endemic of their university. A purge there is necessary. As hard as it would be for some and as heavy-handed as it seems, my opinion is that they should all be given the death penalty and then restarted when the existing students have aged out of the system. Also, alumni from those chapters should not be allowed to restart the programs. They should be planted from other schools.

It's difficult and problematic to paint all Greek organizations as the same. I used to hold your opinion on Greek life as well, until I actually joined. As a horribly anxious 19yo, it was the best thing I could have asked for, and helped me grow into a confident young man. My organization had parties and had its share of douchebags, but we never hazed, and we encouraged our new members to see us as friends rather than superiors. We were known on campus for being a "safe place" (especially for women). We were (and I continue to be) abhorred by hazing and abuse committed by other organizations.

I'm sorry people looked down on you for staying unaffiliated. Anyone looking down on others for not going Greek are assholes, no matter their affiliation status. As for "carrying my traditions into the business world," I can't say. I always saw Greek creeds the same way I saw the Ten Commandments: I don't need a document to tell me to be a good person. It's pretty easy to treat people with respect.
