Personally, I much prefer to get reviews from my clients - this gig is competitive just as it could be a turn off to some potential clients, it could also be a boost to his business on the other hand - plenty of people on this forum like to see that people are reviewed, and seeing reviews over a period of time from the same reviewer can establish a provider as reliable and enjoyable

I think I’ll likely be in Bali then, will be in Thailand from April 4th to 10th or so. thanks for the heads up - I’m going with someone who has been going for 25 years, so I’ll definitely not be totally out of the loop, but happy to hear any suggestions
