  1. It is a rare if a masseur uses his REAL name. And a number of masseurs have no face pics, and they are great masseurs . Also, many masseurs have only one or two reviews. But it sounds like you have been in contact with him and still feel uncomfortable. The fact that your contact with him has made you feel uncomfortable is YOUR red flag....so go with your gut feeling and move onto a masseur you feel comfortable with. Just saying.....
  2. Thanks for the info on your session @BCB. It gives clarity to Arek's session. His ad copy can be misleading. since he says " ready to work on your body and RELEASE all your tension by virtue of my SPECIAL massage". Then later in the ad copy he says he provides a "CUSTOM massage based on your specific NEEDS and DESIRES" I put the key words in caps. Those are the key words an erotic masseur would use to get past the censors, but still get the message to the client erotic services are provided, especially the words RELEASE and CUSTOM. (wink, wink) If I see words like that I know the massage is erotic. But not in this case. I think Arek is smart enough to know if he uses those words in his ad most clients would assume it would be erotic. The other confusing thing he does is say "starting at $110" Then in the rates section it says "Rates may vary depending on services provided." That also is a "wink, wink" that the masseur provides HE, etc. Arek's ad is misleading. That is why I always ask before going to a masseur.
  3. No, but now I am interested. I will be in NYC next week. Anyone?
  4. Observation: 5 reviews posted in a 2 week period. 2 of them on the same day no less. (June 30th). That's alot of reviews in a short period of time, with all of them having the same tone. I wish if masseurs posted their own reviews, they would not make it so obvious.
  5. I don't think any masseurs that would require a "deposit" to book a massage session would get many clients. That would be a turn off for me. I would never hand over money before I even arrived for a massage session. Strange idea.
  6. I agree with you @beethoven that the bad reviews do not tend to get published since the masseurs can delete them. But I don't feel anyone should disregard great reviews on these sites. Unless they are obviously similar as in this masseur's case. I, for one, have returned many times from great massage sessions with masseurs with ads on masseurfinder, rentmasseur, etc.and posted glowing reviews on masseurs who did a great job and they were posted. I hope I am not wasting my time posting these reviews for these guys since people might think they are fake. I am sure others on this forum have also posted great reviews on these sites. My only caveat to anyone is just to look for similar verbiage in a masseur's reviews. If they all look similiar it will be obvious. If not, give the masseur the credit he is getting some great, authentic reviews. I know I have posted many for great masseurs, and I am sure other forum members have. To encourage forum members to ignore ALL reviews on these sites is a mistake, since many are real, and are a good start to vet a potential masseur you want to hire.
  7. Wow....I remember it was not that long ago when you could get a great nude massage from a hot guy with HE for $95 ( talking about 10 years ago.) Times sure have changed. $180? Seriously? Is it just me, or are prices getting crazy?
  8. They heard re: the layout of the massage ads.....check out the site. They changed it and now are not jumbled. They are now lined up neatly so they should be easier to scroll through
  9. I agree @beethoven with all you said. I have heard similar stories from various guys that have massaged me. M4M is the WORST from my masseurs feedback. The words they cannot use in their ad copy is ridiculous. One masseur said he mentioned in his ad copy that "he has air conditioning for those hot days." M4M rejected it since he used the word "hot" ????? I also have submitted reviews and had my reviews edited for the most bizarre reasons. They publish it.....but pull any words they think even reeks of anything besides massage. Then they add their own words to my review without telling me! That pisses me off, so I stopped submitting reviews. I notice on many reviews the M4M staff likes to add the word 'Professional" to reviews. So lame! Yes, I understand and totally agree they need to be careful. But they go WAY overboard. The kicker is that masseurs rates on M4M are way above the going rates for Therapeutic Massage at Massage Envy, etc.. At Massage Envy, etc. rates are around $75/hr......om M4M they are $120/hr-$180/hr. The feds ain't dumb. So I don't know who M4M thinks they are fooling.
  10. Will be in NYC soon. Is he around or now totally gone?
  11. Same here. Found Marcos to be my favorite. And he is stunning. I am a sucker for lean, muscular guys like Marcos from out of the country with that great, sexy accent!
  12. Maybe he just did not get your response, some glitch in the system. I would have have waited 15 minutes and then texted him again....and asked if he received your response. ( just trying once does not mean he did not respond....maybe it did not go thru) If still no answer, I would call him and if he did not answer, leave a voicemail explaining the situation. Then I would follow up with another text to tell him to check his voicemail, that you left a message. That would be your due diligence. All bases covered. If no response after all bases covered, it would show he is a flake and I would move on. That protocol works for me every time when I am in the situation you described, shows me if there are just some texting issues that are not the masseur's fault, or if the masseur is just a flake.
  13. I also have two that are a toss up. The first was my only Craigslist experience. I was living in New Jersey and needed an outcall. I found a masseur who said he would be right over. When the doorbell rang, there stood a man carrying two sawhorses and a board. I thought he was at the wrong house. Turns out it was the masseur! He proceeded to set it up in my living room. His massage table was two sawhorses and a board with carpet stapled on it! I placed a sheet on his "Table" and he went to work doing the massage. At one point the room smelled. I asked if he had farted, and he said "yes." I asked him to open a window, and he laughed and said"just think of it as aromatherapy." At this point I stopped the massage and asked him to leave. He gathered his things, and that is when I noticed he had a 4 inch piece of duct tape on his pants. I asked what it was and he said he ripped his pants and did not know how to sew, so he uses duct tape! That was the last time I used Craigslist! The other toss up worst massage was a masseur who I went to in Boston. A REAL massage table this time. At the beginning he asked if I was gay. I said yes. He said he was straight, and that it did not bother him to massage a gay man (?). Then about every 3 minutes during the massage he would say things like " Yup, does not bother me at all that you are gay." Or things like " Really comfortable with you, even though I am straight" This went on throughout the WHOLE massage session. Hard to relax when someone keeps telling you how straight they are. After I turned over, he suddenly blurted out "Can you fuck me?!!" Please?!! Literally begging me to fuck him! I had no chemistry with him and declined, got dressed, and left my "straight" masseur with a hard on.
  14. After reading thru all these posts I got so horny I had to make a massage appointment for tommw! (Seriously) With a naked masseur of course!
  15. Mark is beyond crazy handsome, that guy should pursue a professional modeling career (if he already is not a professional model.) The camera loves him (just as much as I do hahah!) Some people photograph really well from all angles, and Mark has it going on.....he should cash in on a modeling career!
  16. For someone who does only strictly therapeutic massage he sure posts alot of hot, sexy photos. Total of 9 pics in many adorable poses. If he does only strictly therapeutic massage I would imagine he would post maybe 3 face shots and leave it at that. But he goes overboard with 9 hot pics. Guess he is just using his hotness to get you to come in for a Therapeutic massage. (playing the "aren't I cute card" ) and he IS cute! Dr. Massage McDreamy! Would be to frustrating for me....he is way to cute....I would explode as soon as he put his hands on me. In fact, I would take that a step further and pull him onto the table with me. Best if I stay away from him.
  17. Hi @MikeBiDude, I put the HWP info in there since I had to Google it. I had no idea what it meant so thought others might not know either. What I was implying by my comment that "it is ironic Pan is Asian, yet seems to judge others on their body type" is that discrimination can take many forms. I have heard from my friends that are Asian, that when they call for a massage session, due to their accent, the masseur will ask the client if they are Asian. If they say yes they are Asian, some masseurs will turn the Asian clients away due to their ethnicity. I think that sucks. So I found it ironic that now an Asian masseur was turning away clients due to their body weight. Wow, everything seems to be coming full circle. Discrimination in any form sucks, just wish we could all get along, and accept each other for who we are, any race, skinny or fat, young or old
  18. Reading thru this thread it is obvious to me that Pan has issues with out of shape guys, or this subject would never have even come up. (HWP stands for Height Weight Proportionate) I find it distasteful that a masseur would judge a client based on any criteria, such as appearance, weight, race, etc. It is ironic that Pan is Asian yet seems to judge others on their body type. I am sure he would be pissed if someone gave him some shade during the massage session if a client commented about his race in a negative tone. @Ajac, I have your back on this one. We go for a massage to relax, not to be judged on our appearance. This is not a beauty contest, it is a massage session. We all need to be treated by our masseurs with respect. Ironically, I work out and am a gym rat, have no body fat, and am in better shape than Pan. But after reading this post I will now avoid him. I don't like his mentality. The gay community gets mistreated enough by the straight community. When we get mistreated by our own that is where I draw the line.
  19. Is it just me or does Troye bear a striking resemblance to K.D. Lang?
  20. I have always thought his ad was a joke. Maybe I am wrong?? But each and every photo looks like a different person. Some are photos where the person has a tummy. (fat) In others the person looks buffed. In others the person looks super buffed. In some it looks like an older guy. In others a younger guy. And of course most don't show the face so it has hard to tell. And then back to the fat photos. A VERY confusing photo gallery. I NEVER took his ad seriously. Intelligence would tell me that he is not getting younger and more buffed, but probably older and overweight which is the reality of being human. And looking closely at the pics I would be very naive to think they are all of John Paul. Looks to be like at least 3 different guys. Will the real John Paul please stand up?
  21. A few thoughts, @Kody S : 1) You sound like a really sweet guy who is genuinely wanting to just practice their massage skills on a masseur. Most gay masseurs that provide services are into the massage....but also into the erotic part with HE, etc. And as we all know this is a looks based gay massage business. So asking a gay masseur if you can massage them will probably sound like you are hitting on them in a lecherous way, no matter how sincere you explain to them about just wanting to hone your massage skills. I am sure they get clients all the time wanting to massage them, with sexual intentions. Even if you pay them for their time, there may be some sexual tension, and most will probably refuse. With that being said, it does not hurt to ask...the worst they can say is no. 2) Mu suggestion is to Google "gay massage exchange websites". See what is out there. I am sure there are a few sites that offer what you are looking for. (for free) Another idea is to post an ad on Craigslist under "Men Seeking Men" and explain in your ad just what you said in your post....you want to exchange massages to hone your skills, where you can hook up with someone else who is in the same situation as you are. ( also free) Good luck and maybe you will become a full time masseur...let us know how it goes!
  22. Jeremiah (Liquid Massage) was great. The guy is adorable and gives a great massage with HE. (at least when I was there) No beard, just a little scruff when I visited. Very friendly. Give him a try!
  23. Typical, your post is the second best laugh I have had all weekend!
  24. They demonstrate the infamous frantic, flurry of reviews all at once, either on the same day or a day apart. With the same broken English, words spelled incorrectly, and similar verbiage in all their reviews. The reviews they wrote are like a "Saturday Night Live" skit. Laughably bad! If they are going to post their own reviews it should not be so painfully obvious. I do have to admit reading their reviews was the best laugh I had all day!
