  1. As most have mentioned in this Forum, they have curtailed getting massages due to Covid 19, myself included. My last massage was in mid-February, almost 2 months ago. I had thought I would start again after the crisis had "died down", but with the more we learn, the more conflicted I become. I realize there is no "end date" on Covid 19 "going away." It is not as if we know that on July 5th, 2020 it is gone forever, for example. Until there is a vaccine (12-18 months away)....or a treatment to prevent/stop/slow infection, we will be living with this for a long time. So we are not talking another month or two.....but much longer. The CDC is now even saying that just speaking with someone can spread the virus because it is airborne. Then throw in the wild card of the very large number that are and stay asymptomatic but still spread the virus. So for myself, I will only feel comfortable returning to get a massage when there is either 1) a treatment that prevents/stops the virus or 2) A vaccine, which hopefully will be out in about a year. Until that happens, I feel getting a massage with the super close contact is risky. Hard to relax and let go with a massage when in this environment. What is your criteria to begin receiving massages again?
  2. @EVdude 's thread above is a great suggestion, since many members just posted their favorites in that thread. Chock full of favorites
  3. That's a complex, broad question. There are 50 States, so you would need to clarify what State you are in. Recommending a masseur in NYC does no good if you live and are looking in Los Angeles. Also, what is your type? Recommending a smooth, lean, 25 year old to massage you does no good if you are into masseurs who are hairy, muscular, and a bit older. So clarify what you are looking for and location. Also, make use of the Search Box. Find someone you like, type their name in the Search Box, and you will find all the info you need.
  4. Without going into detail, one thing I have learned from personal experience, whether it is with a romantic interest or hiring a provider : when they tell you their Covid 19 status or any STD status.....Don't. Trust. Anyone. Always play and stay safe, irregardless of what they say. Your health (and sometimes it can be your life) are way to important to risk.
  5. It would be nice if Rentmen had a disclaimer for clients re" what "freezing a membership" means. We all know what it means from the discussion in the Forum, but the average Joe might be confused by the wording of why they can't contact the service provider.
  6. Although some similarities, nothing will ever compare with the horror of the beginning and the peak of the AIDS pandemic, before the meds came out in the early/mid 90's. Back in the 80's, getting infected with HIV was a death sentence to all infected. Add the fact that the US government virtually ignored the AIDS pandemic in the early/mid 80's added to the horror of that time. At least with COVID 19 getting the virus is not a death sentence for the majority (as acquiring HIV was in the 80's)....and with COVID 19 the US government and the world are jumping into action .....slowly in the beginning ......but not waiting years before they do anything, as they did with AIDS. I think it took then President Reagan 3 years before he even said the word AIDS. NOTHING will ever compare with the horror of AIDS in the 80's, as people will tell you who lived through it and lost friends, family, and lovers while the government virtually ignored it. Then add the stigma of having HIV/AIDS in the 80's, and there is no comparison. COVID 19 has no stigma.....is not a death sentence to most.....and is being addressed right away by the entire world. The true horror story was HIV/AIDS back in the 80's.
  7. You do not need to be a US citizen according to the EDD website.......but you do need to be here legally with a work visa or Green Card. Someone who is here illegally would not qualify.
  8. Your income does need to be documented on your 2018 OR 2019 (if you have filed it already) tax return in order to qualify. When I told all 3 of my regular masseurs that they would qualify in this new stimulus bill, (since the bill does include the self-employed)..they were all ecstatic. They get $600/week on top of what their unemployment will pay. That extra $600/week expires after 4 months. (that is an extra $9,600 if they go for the 4 months) And yes...all 3 of my regular masseurs said they did file tax returns showing income from massage, so all 3 will benefit.
  9. I looked at what they ask for when you apply, and they require your last tax return....either 2019 if that was filed already....or 2018, and that will mention you are self-employed. So my guess is they verify it with that. They also mentioned when I looked it up online to include your phone number, since they might call for a phone interview, which is another way to verify. But they clarified that they probably won't call you, your tax return is enough.
  10. These are the times where it is a great opportunity to tell our masseurs about the unemployment they can collect in the stimulus package that was passed by the House today, and will be signed into law either today or tomorrow. One of my regulars reached out to me last night to book a session, and when I told him he can collect unemployment since self-employed are included in the new stimulus package, he pulled his ad offline and thanked me, since he had been unaware of this. So we need to let these guys know about this when they contact us for business. (They will get $2,400/month PLUS their regular unemployment benefits for 4 months in the new law....spread the word to them)
  11. I am surprised that Daddy is still posting reviews. If you check out the reviews for today, March 27th...both sessions were this month. Steve ( session was 3/2020 in NYC, the epicenter)....and Sherman (session was 3/2020) both reviews state that the kissing during the session was great. (?) Probably the riskiest mode of transmission is swapping spit. Can't believe this is still going on. Maybe the reviews should be halted for a while, since these positive reviews during this crisis is a form of promoting these guys.
  12. To apply it would be the same steps as anyone would to receive unemployment......you can either call or sign up online at your state unemployment office. I would wait until the stimulus package is signed, since if you are self employed now, you can't sign up.....only after the bill is signed.....hopefully this week/weekend. And Oaktown, I would assume if someone is here illegally they would not qualify. But for all that are citizens/residents or have Green Cards, at least some of our masseurs are covered, which is better than none.
  13. I was looking over the 2 trillion dollar stimulus bill that will most probably be signed this week/weekend. There is a provision in the bill for "self-employed and gig workers" to collect unemployment. Typically self-employed and gig workers can't collect unemployment, since they do not pay in. (only employers do) But this bill will provide $600/week on top of whatever the person will collect in unemployment, and the bill includes the self-employed and gig workers. (such as the masseurs we hire) The bill will cover 4 months. Since most of us in the forum have mentioned we are not hiring until the crisis passes, I think contacting our regular masseurs with this good news will help them out, since many of them will be unaware of this. $2,400/month in addition to whatever they get in regular unemployment will help cover their rent, food, etc. until their business picks up. I will be contacting my regular masseurs today with this news.
  14. Try posting in "The Lounge"......you will probably get more feedback there since you will be throwing a wider net.
  15. Seems like this post is best in "The Lounge" Forum, since "The Spa" Forum is about masseurs, not Onlyfans models.
  16. Go to Rentmasseur and check out the reviews section. (Link is at top of RM page) MANY reviews posted from all over the USA/World, as recently as today. That gives you an idea of how many are still actively working, and also gives you an idea of how many clients are still going for massage. And I know that masseurs are notorious for posting their own reviews, but RM has a strict screening process, so I think those reviews are authentic.
  17. As mentioned in another Forum, we can support them by contacting our regular masseur or escort who we have used before and have established a friendship/relationship with......and send them payment for our next session NOW, when they can use the money for rent, food, etc. We can explain to them that this payment will be used as a credit for a session at a later date, after this health crisis passes. I think that would be a huge help to them.
  18. If he is your regular masseur, why not give it to him now , instead of when you return? Now is when he probably needs it, since his business is probably down. Then tell him you have a credit when you do return. That would be a nice gesture, something our regular masseurs need at this time now that their business has slumped. They have rent to pay, food to buy, etc. An advance payment would help them out.
  19. Thanks, @KeepItReal for posting the links. This subject of tipping has been brought up and run into the ground many times in this forum. Those links are full of feedback.
  20. Face cradles have cloth covers that are removed after the massage, and washed with the sheet that was used during your session. On multiple occasions while I am changing after a massage, the masseur will come in to prep for the next client and I have seen him remove that cloth face cradle cover and replace it with a fresh one, as he changes the sheet also. At least the masseurs I have been to change theirs. You can always request a fresh face cradle cloth cover before he starts the massage if you have any doubts.
  21. During a massage you are face down in a face cradle for most of the session. Then you turn over and the masseur massages your front. If there is a HE it is "down there" ....most times manual. Where is the risk?? During this time with Covid-19, and until we know more about it.... just be safe, and don't do anything risky like french kissing your masseur (as some in this forum in the past have mentioned they have done) , getting oral, swapping spit, etc. Your risk of being exposed to Covid-19 is just as high by sitting next to someone at work, or being close to ANYONE at Starbucks, the grocery store in line, on a bus, hugging a friend, etc. as there is in getting a massage. Go get your massage and keep living your life. Just be aware and keep it safe. There is no need to isolate yourself and stop living your life. Go enjoy a massage......you gotta live your life!
  22. @dcman , maybe you should make a brand new thread re: this masseur. You might get more feedback, since the title of this thread "I guess hell has frozen over" does not have his name in the thread headline. With his name in the headline of the thread you will attract more clients who have been to him.
  23. Wow....the age progression from the first 3 photos to the last photo is amazing.
  24. Wow....he charges $150 for the non-erotic option....as in a clothed, therapeutic massage? Gulp!.....prices are getting crazy.
  25. Why don't you give the feedback to him that you mentioned here? You obviously like him enough to continue seeing him. Just mention to him what you said in your post.....after 3 years you must be close enough to bring it up. Your post reminds me of a my ex-roommate. He would go to the same masseur every week.....and then come home and say " Tyler does way to much deep pressure during the massage" I said "Tell him". Well, my roommate never told him, and every week would come home and complain the pressure was to deep .......but still continue seeing him......not totally happy with the session because of the deep pressure. We need to give feedback to masseurs that we want to continue seeing if something is not working. They are not mind readers. Just saying.....Good luck
