It really depends on the situation but I've definitely noticed more and more now that will be asked for. I usually book outcalls and where I live isn't exactly in the "core" of the city where most providers are usually located. While we have transit, a normal trip to my location via train is an hour to 1hr30mins. Driving here is 20-30 mins. So if the provider doesn't drive (which is mostly the case), I'll cover their Uber. If I'm in another city, most times I'm in popular high density areas where most providers are so its a quick commute for them. I don't cover Uber in that scenario. Yeah, definitely abort if this happens. Same. To me that fee was for travel/time for an outcall vs. a lower rate if its an incall. Which is understandable in most cases. But I also find local providers are asking for Ubers more now too. I'd say it's 50/50. Considering 90% of NYC providers live in Manhattan, where there's multiple train options even during regular shutdowns, I'd say it's very efficient. I've had prominent providers walk or take the train when I'm in NYC. You can change your profile name and picture on Uber. I do this for my regular friends, and providers I hire. I just update my Uber account with the provider's picture and his "name." When the session is over and he's home safely, I updated my profile with my own information. Agreed 100% on both points. Depending on the weather I wouldn't even take the train from Times Square to Chelsea unless I'm in a rush. It's like 15 a min walk lol. As for the Uber, you can change you account picture and name. I do it all the time. Just have to send a screenshot to the provider showing the driver, car, and how long it'll take to arrive. Change the account back to your regular info when everything is done.

Oh I definitely get it. I've had providers who don't have an OF/J4F page (seems rare nowadays) tell me some of these popular content guys reached out to "hire" but in the end the "client" wanted to have a free session and film for their content pages.

The wannabes, flakes, scammers or guys just looking for a quick buck always ask "how much?" or "whats your offer?"....usually ends up to be a waste of time. I do recommend if your Grindr headline alludes to hiring to make sure you don't keep it up for long. I'll have it up for 30-mins to an hour. Definitely need more details. But my initial reaction is he'd get half of his asking fee (and thats me being extra generous) and a mediocre review. Providers aren't robots and things like that can happen. In the two scenarios I've had where a provider couldn't step up, both times the providers offered to waive their fee and promised to make it up in our next session.

Luckily I've barely had any bad encounters with providers. One great session I had noticed the provider was watching the clock a few times. Another time I had a session with a regular provider who couldn't get up and it was clear he was a bit high.
