Sensitive topic - race and rates
Shawn Monroe replied to + DrownedBoy's topic in Questions About Hiring
While it’s not the only thing that comes into play for rates, I feel like you are correct. sometimes I look at the way some providers of certain races are talked about here, and compare it to their rates and services, and I’m floored that they’re able to charge what they do. And It can feel like I have to do more for less (for lack of better wording). granted I can’t speak for minorities of other races, but speaking as a black man you’re correct. -
Use a dildo or buttplug after you think you’re done, to open up and make sure you’re really done.

I like Uber lube but don’t like the packaging. Lose the top and you can’t get to the rest.

Massage oil too. 😞

Pjur, but it’s so outrageously expensive since it’s made in germany. gun oil but it’ll mess up your sheets. sliquid is also good. Swiss navy is decent and cost effective.

Providers who are not into "kissing"
Shawn Monroe replied to Marc in Calif's topic in Questions About Hiring
Hesitant to answer this cause y’all get weird when we share our opinions in here (despite the forum being called “ask a provider”) but alas: some people are bad kissers. some guys think that kissing means licking anything your tongue comes into contact with. Some think it means lunging at you with tongue already out of your mouth. once a guy wanted to start with a kiss and he just licked the right side of my face. I excused myself to wash my face. I think I’ve had my eyeball licked before. I agree with some of the other reasons posed here, but the main reasons reallly are that it is a more intimate activity than getting off, some people have bad breath (pls scrape your tongue) and some are bad kissers. -
Jarrod is actually spitting fire right here.

Client booked then silence, why??
Shawn Monroe replied to Yoyotonodo's topic in Questions About Hiring
Because some people get off on the excitement of booking as opposed to the act itself. Do you confirm appointments the day of? -

As @BtmBearDadsaid, there are definitely guys that get off more on the idea of communicating than on actually meeting. I used to say “why don’t those guys just watch porn” but porn doesn’t talk back. you have to get to a point where you acknowledge that this is a thing that happens, identify when it’s happening, and structure your communication accordingly, else you will go crazy.

To add to this, our costs, just like yours, are also skyrocketing. We have to operate in nice desireable areas (you probably wouldn’t come see me if I lived in south atlanta) and our rents are increasing 30-40% YOY as well. to think that we are immune to the factors affecting society just because we are providers is misguided. that said, I don’t know what will happen to business in the future. We all thought it would go away in the pandemic but the amount of requests I had changed very little.

I feel like that’s their own problem. If they want to cater to the midtown gays (of which I am one) then they either need to be in midtown or provide a shuttle. I’ll go to ansley or Cheshire bridge before I go to future. and BJs is what it is but I’d even prefer to go there and see their dancers over what future had

Providers: What would make you leave the room?
Shawn Monroe replied to crushme99's topic in Questions About Hiring
He was probably 13. If you’re being facetious. So there was no need. -
Providers: What would make you leave the room?

All of these have happened to me. Most I wouldn’t do again. other one being someone underaged. I showed up once and the person was, I immediately got in my car and sped off. -
How to get providers to arrive on time
Shawn Monroe replied to + DrownedBoy's topic in Questions About Hiring
Completely agree with this. If you’re not going to get your providers on here and in other places, then hold them accountable. -
Etiquette around blowing the Masseur

In your opinion, what’s the difference between the two? -

I know, judging from experience 🙂 -
Etiquette around blowing the Masseur
Shawn Monroe replied to Sammy0691's topic in Questions About Hiring
Can I also point out that as many clients hate piecemeal and a la carte rates, requests like this are largely where they come from. You want a massage with a side of oral and the masseur cumming on you, and so forth, but don’t want to pay an escort rate, and the provider doesn’t want to lose business. all I’m saying is that requests like this are largely where those come from. -
Odd behavior - blocking after 1st time encounter
Shawn Monroe replied to BeamerBikes's topic in Questions About Hiring
One time I had a client ask me if he could contact me the next time I was in town, or if I was the type that didn’t like repeat business. weird as heck to me but there are guys out there that don’t like repeat business. -
I bring everything I think I’ll need to a session, even if I’ve been seeing someone for years and they prefer to use their own supplies. Just keep it all in my provider purse. You never know!

While I 90% agree with you, the “rent” companies - rentmasseur in particular- make it difficult. They make it look like you’re in a city up to 30 days before you’re there. You’d be surprised how much time I spend typing “hey - I’m not in [city]. My ad says I’ll be in [city] on [dates]. Would you like to meet when I’m there?” and because nearly all those clients want to meet an hour of messaging, that is business you can’t recoup. that said, for clients that plan ahead it is necessary and favorable to post dates.

Most anything with a gift card is going to be a scam. I work for a major corp and they made a whole page warning of that stuff. He could be honest but prob not. Love you

These are the questions I love, that ask about our experience. but to your question, it can certainly add up, once you count the things you mentioned plus expenses like food, checking a table (which is the absolute worst experience), and the snowballing costs associated (bringing a table means needing a bigger room, which usually costs extra). some ways i mitigate: - travel to more expensive cities in off-peak times. - fly on off peak times and days. - have a number of confirmed appointments before I go to gauge if the trip will be worth it. - catch flight and hotel sales and go - work up to flight / hotel / rental car / credit card status as it can come in handy. then. - couple it with another event so i don’t feel like I need to hit a goal of sorts. - buy food up front at the grocery store to avoid eating fast food. and to the overall point, this is why I drive to most cities, and choose to live in a city that is driving distance to a lot of cities. hope this helps…
