Central question: would you prefer a client that sees you twice a month and tips you 20% every time or a client that doesn't tip but sees you every 10 days? Demand for some items is elastic (econ term), that is, sensitive to the price, and I suspect that this is the case for massage services and most clients. Yeah, there are some who get all the massages they want and tip generously anyway because their budgets allow them to, but they are most likely a small minority.

It is a smart business decision given the natural life cycle of his business model, which is basically a hot straight guy charging a lot for not providing much. It's not a coincidence that he is traveling more and more, as his ability to skim the NYC market has gone down. Most guys try it once or twice and go "OK, I've seen it, I'm done." In order to entice the customer to keep coming back, one has to leave some VALUE on the table for the customer. If one skims the market (again, this is rational if one hates his job and is in it to make nice money for a while before moving on), even the huge NYC market (locals plus visitors) is not big enough. He is a smart businessman, but many smart and savvy clients able to resist thinking with their small heads should be able to see through what is on offer here. 😉 BTW, I am increasingly DONE with frequent travelers charging $200. I just hate the feeling of being used as an ATM in a very transactional way. Granted, the market in central FL is limited, but I do have a handful of pretty good options in the $160 range. I'll see a $200 an hour visitor if I see pretty unanimous stellar reviews here, though.

I felt like trying something new, and reviews here were not horrible, so I pulled the trigger. A definite non-repeat. Massage less than a meh, it felt like a waste of time very soon after we started. He is clearly untrained and has no idea what he is doing IMHO. Sensuality less than a meh, very mechanical and rushed attempt at a HE in the end. Yeah, he was nude but but no chemistry or interaction. He is just ok as far as his personality, reasonably friendly, polite, and prompt in responding, but it felt very transactional. I would be too if I was charging customers as much as he does for what is sub-par on each dimension. I don't think I'd go back even if he charged $100 per hour. PS He is reasonably good looking, but not really that hot either.

Saw him many times at different locations, incalls and outcalls, when I lived in Chi. Self-trained, so it was mostly sensual and I went for it when I wanted to relax rather than get therapeutic massage. He is the gay-friendliest straight masseur/person I know. I agree 100%! Many providers around the Tampa Bay area as well as visitors quote $200 an hour but are suspiciously frequently "available" on rentmasseur and masseurfinder. Some quote even more, but cracks seem to be appearing, I was just quoted $180 for erotic massage and even that seemed negotiable. I have a couple of decent, if not perfect, local options who charge $160, so I'll hire at $200 if the masseur is super hot and has stellar reviews here. Guys charging more or those with no or sub-par record here need not apply. BTW, I can still get professional therapeutic massage at $120, so that should be the anchor. And yeah, I'll tip generously, but this part should be discretionary, not expected for just any kind of service. PS It's good to revisit this topic once in a while and be aware of what's going on in different markets. Those not interested can just skip it.
