I don’t have an issue getting responses. I’d say 80 percent respond.

i think your issue is you’re not asking a question or giving a time frame. Maybe you if you give a time “are you available next Monday or Tuesday? If so, can you tell me what your rates are?”

I also sometimes give a vague description like “I’m a married professional guy who enjoys erotic massage.”

I echo this. If you have specific questions, but definitely not more than 3, ask them. People are busy and trying to get new business while possibly doing the actual work at the same time. The more your questions suggest that they can quickly close the deal with a desirable client, the likelier their response. I don't remember having any non-responders over the last year or two.

Also, I think that many masseurs cannot or don't want to schedule more than a day in advance. There are of course exceptions, and I honestly avoid them, I cannot commit to a massage 3 days from now 🤣.

On a side & related note, I hate open-ended questions here as well. Once in a while, I get messages asking me to "describe in more detail my experience" with masseur XYZ about which I commented in the forum. First, I often don't remember the details because it was typically long time ago. Second, I fucking say in the forum what I think is relevant. I can try to answer specific questions if I remember (e.g., how tall he was, how was his English, was his dick really big, etc.), but don't ask me to jog my memory and write an open-ended essay just for you, LOL. Third, it's really annoying when such an obnoxious and pretentious request comes from someone who hasn't contributed anything useful to the forum.

Masseurs don't know us. I wouldn't be surprised if they block potential clients that seem like too much work. Just like I block some members here. Nothing personal, it's just that we all have limited time and energy.

    Sorry, but you're being ridiculous.

I was trying to keep the conversation on track, regarding the commentary about this guys fashion choices..

Your attempt to make a point about fashion by evoking "the Men's Wearhouse" is as ridiculous as bringing up O'Charley's in a conversation about fine dining.

To me his argument was that the look was more mainstream and acceptable to gay and straight men alike than the previous comments suggested. A legitimate point of view, one can agree or disagree, and I didn't detect any suggestion that Men's Warehouse was a fancy brand, just that it's mainstream and omnipresent, which seems like an obvious fact to me.

BTW I find that "arguments" "I am this, I am that, me, me, me" hurt one's credibility. Those that have good points to make typically don't resort to "proof by intimidation."

Hey fellas… just wanted to put up here to avoid this masseur at all costs. He was horrible. He’s a gay-baiter and is not honest about his services.

the massage was mediocre at best and he cut it short 10 mins… he also had the TV on the whole time and was watching sports! Haha

It was all super awkward and bad. Avoid at all costs!

Someone has suggested to me that fucking back feels good and might discourage these scammers in the long run, especially given that RM & MF are on their side and there are no good remedies otherwise. If you have another number, you can schedule an appointment and then send him the review that he (would have) deleted instead of showing up. I have several scammers who wasted my time and money on my shit list, but I am yet to pull that trigger. Maybe if I see them visiting central FL? Thoughts?

BTW, these asses are not ruining it just for the clients, they are also taking business away from the good guys.

And yeah, this guy's pix are major alarm bells, designed to make the client's small head take over ;-). Thanks for the alert, I was just checking his ad!

  4. It's official, I was just quoted $400 for 90 minutes of massage with both naked and MT.

Power to him if he can charge these rates, but I am not interested. I actually can't think of any model, athlete, or whatever for which I'd agree to such a deal, and yeah, there are masseurs hotter than him IMHO who ask less than $300. The beauty of the free market, everybody gets to choose ;-)

That's very true. Thank you. I did not consider that possibility. Re-reading his ad, I could sense someone from another country speaking. European men do the exact opposite of what American "straight" guys do.

Every time I visit I get surprised by how far their men are willing to go in order to be fashionable. I refuse to wear uncomfortable clothes, period. OK, I refuse to care or spend more than an absolute minimum of time and effort on buying clothes too 😅🤣😆

Believe reviews of people from here, both good and bad. Pay attention to when the reviews are made, though. So many people are like you pointed out "thinking with the wrong head" and making a terrible decision when MANY people on here gave fair warning to avoid.

"He shorted me on time", "He wouldn't even kiss", "He kept breaking away to use his phone", etc. Just get that people like this are never going to magically give a complete session with sucking your face and keeping the phone on vibrate.

    Caution here too!

This forum is becoming influential, which is great news, but the downside is that it's attracting scammers and "influencers." Always consider the source and his reputation. If you see a new profile praising a masseur or an older profile habitually praising masseurs that get negative reviews from others, that is actually a bad sign.

I recently blocked a recent profile that recommended a scammer that I regretted hiring. I should have checked his activity and reputation, things are pretty obvious in retrospect.

I'm mulling over trying out two new masseurs. While one of them has good reviews (and the others none at all), I've read comments that are telling me to think with my big head, not my little one.

I can easily lie to myself and ignore the signs to stay away from them, or try them out and live and learn, or try them out and be happily surprised.

Has anyone ever tried someone they "shouldn't" have and been happily surprised?

Reviews on RM and MF tend to be useless garbage. Yeah, there are some honest ones but fake ones prevail IMHO.

Reasons to be extra careful: (1) too many rave reviews obviously written by the same person, especially if the profile is recent and (2) profiles that have been around for a long time and have no reviews.

As far as new profiles, they could be a better bet if they are genuinely new, but there's always the risk of them really being old, just under a new name, and these are toxic. It's always a good idea to ask this forum whether someone recognizes them, but you may not be alerted on time.

Also, avoiding new guys who charge a lot, especially if their pix reveal modeling aspirations, is a good idea. These are the most important "use your big head" situations. 😅

  8. One more: staying in dumpy motels & rentals when traveling.

I was just about ready to book with a new masseur visiting central FL when he sent me the address earlier today. Yikes! I don't even know what/how to respond.

I am not into fancy downtown hotels because parking is usually a bitch and the masseur needs to come down to get you up to his room, but come ON! A decent looking house or hotel/motel with plentiful parking, not something sketchy like out of a movie.

  9. Yikes, what a story!

As if we needed more reasons to never-ever pay deposits, we now have another one: The account may have been hacked! WOW!

Cheers and best wishes to all, this was a valuable lesson, thank you for sharing! It's also nice to see how things get clarified and taken care of when the community comes together.

  10. I should have seen it coming when I pulled up to a cheap motel.

He is a trained masseur, he ran the clock while I was face down, and then pretended that there was a misunderstanding, despite our texts which were perfectly clear.

I was so disgusted by the demeanor at this point, I didn't want anything to do with him, I just left what I thought was reasonable for a regular massage and left.

I always go by the rule that you can't wrestle with a pig without getting dirty. I figured the last thing I needed was some shouting match or worse with a piece of trash in a dumpy motel. This forum is my outlet to alert others, and I feel sorry for all who are unaware of it.

MF & RM get paid by the advertising masseurs, so of course they'll take their side whenever they plausibly can. I deleted my MF account long time ago when they deleted a review I left.

I am not sure what else I or this forum could do to stop these scammers. But maybe not more is needed, staying in cheap motels and defrauding a diminishing number of people as the word gets out seems like a pretty miserable life anyway. I' d love to hear some thoughts and ideas, though. Way worse than the waste of money is the waste of time and the fact that it ruins your day.

  11. I am so sorry to hear that, how big was the deposit?

If it's any comfort, I'd prefer to lose some $ in that way than to waste even more $ plus time on a scammer like this who promised a sensual massage and then pretended we had a misunderstanding.

Just posted on another thread. The point is that as unpleasant as your experience was, it could have been worse. You are doing the right thing by sharing your experience here and, indeed, you may want to alert RM or post a negative review there. Actions should have consequences, these scammers need to be put in their place.

I booked at appointment with him from his RentMen ad for 1AM this morning.  At around 11pm he said he’d text me when he got to his hotel. I assumed he was on an outcall because he’s already been in my city for days.  I didn’t a text from him until 3AM.  He said apologized and said his phone broke.

1AM, you ask?  He said that’d be the time he’d be in the mood to have his happy ending.

Will I give him another chance?

I'd be so done with him, he is exhibiting a mix of weird and lame, which is never a good sign.

Always remember to use your big head.

I reached out to him by text and he was polite and responsive. $250/hour or $300/90 mins with HE included, but I didn't inquire about anything further. Tempted to see him when I have a bit of time

The latest review suggests you should also make sure MT & nudity are part of the deal if you would like them as well, I wouldn't assume they are included.

The Slavic name and the $160 rate always mean overpromised, overpriced disappointment.

Often but not always in my experience!

One of the reasons this forum is so precious.

No. I don't consider hiring an escort or masseur the same as going to a flea market where you can haggle. There have been instances where I've asked for a rate and they've told me a number, which I've then told them I would pass on because the rate was too high and they themselves offered a better rate, but I would never go into it asking for a discount. In my opinion, it's tacky.

If it's too high I don't respond (this is usually when I ask on rentmasseur via message) or simply thank them. I don't want a massage if they think they are doing me a favor. If enough customers do this, maybe they'll get the message and lower their rates next time in town?

  16. $200 an hour is an absolute max for me, and for that I would expect a top notch experience based on multiple great comments here and not (just) on masseurfinder or rentmasseur. Plus a masseur whose profile really gets me going 😉. And yes, I will leave a tip if he lives up to the expectations, this rate ceiling is just a matter of principle for me.

Thankfully, I have several great options in central FL that are within the $160 to $180 range. I usually go for 90 minutes, paying $220-$260, which leaves space for a nice tip before I hit $300 demanded by a hot visitor who I don't know for sure is even real or has any skills. It's a no-brainer.

I think that bargaining creates a bad vibe for the entire experience. Some masseurs offer lower rates on some days. Asking gently whether they offer those when traveling if you are lucky with the timing of their stay should be ok, though, IMHO.
