  1. I'll get over this but I am so incredibly saddened about what has just happened to me. A client, who had been texting me for the past 2-3 days to meet up finally decides he wants to meet up tonight. The ETA starts getting later and later, until finally he gets here a little past 11:30PM. Mind you, I'm usually in bed by midnight because I have a full time job which is my main priority. I was very nice and accommodating the entire time. Anyway, he shows up and seems like a nice guy and all. I won't get into details, but I will say the encounter was a little more difficult for me than usual. There were a number of things that turned me off when usually I find more things that turn me on about a client the more we talk and the more intimate we get. He ended up staying a little past the hour, and as he left he put the money on my dresser and said goodbye. This was one of those rare encounters for me where at the end of it, it felt like a lot of work. It wasn't as effortless as practically all my other encounters and I was a bit exhausted from it. A few minutes later, after he had already left, I counted the money and noticed he stiffed me by $60! This has never happened to me before, and I'm really upset by it.

I'm not really asking for advice (or maybe I am), probably more just venting here, but I will say two things; (1) I'm so fortunate that after doing this for a little over a year and half, this is the first time this has happened, and (2) I feel incredibly used - I feel like it might be a little over reactive of me to say I even feel like I've been raped in some way, but, yea, it kind of does feel like that. Part of me wants to find some sort of way to seek revenge but really what good would that do? I can't write a bad review or blast his number out in a giant escort newsletter anyway. I have to suck it up and move on. But now I'm wondering if I should change my approach with how I receive money in the future. I avoid having the encounter feel like a transaction, and usually discussions about my rate, etc. last a couple seconds - a simple confirmation - and the subject changes. I confirmed my rate with this guy a couple times via text. I didn't ask for the money upfront because, well, that just not how I do things. But now I'm left with the question, should I let this encounter change my protocol, or should I just suck it up, learn how to screen these guys out and continue with what seems to have been working great up until this point?

Luckily the night before I had an amazing encounter with a client, and we connected really well - plus he tipped me generously. Anyway, I don't know what I'm really asking, but if you've gone this far, thanks for reading and sorry for babbling on. If anyone has any advice or a joke to lighten up a bad experience, thank you in advance. I guess the way I've been receiving cash (asking at the end, and not the beginning) does put me at risk for this to happen, and perhaps it was just my time. It also wasn't THAT much money... It still sucks though! Alright, well this has already been helpful and it's way past my bedtime. Goodnight!

I have been jipped a few times. I never count money a client gives me I feel it's disrespectful to do in front of a client. As soon as they leave I will count it and if I was given a tip or even if I'm not I always say thank you.

  2. I agree @beethoven with all you said. I have heard similar stories from various guys that have massaged me. M4M is the WORST from my masseurs feedback. The words they cannot use in their ad copy is ridiculous. One masseur said he mentioned in his ad copy that "he has air conditioning for those hot days." M4M rejected it since he used the word "hot" ????? I also have submitted reviews and had my reviews edited for the most bizarre reasons. They publish it.....but pull any words they think even reeks of anything besides massage. Then they add their own words to my review without telling me! That pisses me off, so I stopped submitting reviews. I notice on many reviews the M4M staff likes to add the word 'Professional" to reviews. So lame! Yes, I understand and totally agree they need to be careful. But they go WAY overboard. The kicker is that masseurs rates on M4M are way above the going rates for Therapeutic Massage at Massage Envy, etc.. At Massage Envy, etc. rates are around $75/hr......om M4M they are $120/hr-$180/hr. The feds ain't dumb. So I don't know who M4M thinks they are fooling.

What's crazy is if the reviews are flagged as a masseur we only have one chance. If we allow a review that is suggestive they will take review privileges away from us. I am a numbers guy I keep track of business income every day of the year. I can say with all of these changes since Rentboy was raided my business has dropped 30%. They also increased the price to advertise from 99 a month ( 7 years I advertised on this site) to 277$

I tried Rentmassure but I don't think I booked a client from there yet. 70% of my monthly income is from regulars and repeats. Which I am extremely grateful that I have them

  3. Saw him once a couple years ago. He gives a great massage, deep, and also very sensual, and is sexy as hell. I scheduled another appointment and I was waiting outside his place and he just took too much time after I let him know I was outside waiting. Probably around 10 minutes after my scheduled start time so I just left. He called me and asked me where I was at, and I told him I left. I had a tight schedule and didn't appreciate the lateness especially since I let him know I had arrived early and was ready for him at the appointed time. He said he was on way down... ashame. He has great massage skills and amazing assets (front and back).

I would love if I could see again, I have changed my business practices that I make sure I have an extra 45 min between appointments.

    Thank you for your time.

  4. Hello guys,

This is Danny the massage therapist this thread is about. I guess you learn some things about your Ex-Boyfriend that I didn't know till I started reading some of these threads.

I will say a few years ago I wasn't always the most punctual but I would never cancel unless I had a valid reason or I would never flake on clients. I have had my fair share of Flakes; I know that my time and my clients time in not to be wasted.

With respect to "Bigvalboy" I don't recall ever flaking on a client and not showing up. Having been a business owner for 9 years that is not how I run my business nor would expect anyone to be treated. If there was a miscommunication I do apologize for any inconvenience it has caused you. I have not been in Fort Lauderdale for 5 years.

I hope all of you guys have a great 4th of July and have a great weekend.

    Your friendly neighborhood Massage Therapist
